FPS and Accuracy Testing for the Dart Zone Pro-Series MK-4 

i really appreciate the transparency. Thanks for showing it off for us! I was hoping for fps levels that would match most games in my area (i.e., 130/150/200), but I'm still a fan of Dart Zone because you do things like this.

Latest info from dr flux, apparently the internal of mk4 is filled with many metal parts. Well done dart zone. I’ll be looking forward to obtaining this one.

As far as promotional videos are concerned, it's solid - even if it feels like there can be some inconsistencies on the low end. It's just an issue of timing, compared to the recent release of so many similar platforms. Many of which don't need to be that long to achieve similar performance.

Naturally my question is what happened with the performance mentioned in the podcast? What's the price of the new dart? Why couldn't the blaster have been available earlier? Whats with the low powered spring? Will there be extensive testing videos or gameplay footage? Was the red blaster an early model? Quality is a nice peace of mind for a customer and as unique as this was, consistent performance doesn't look like the MK4's redeeming one. Granted the competitors had their lows but they also had plenty of work around's when it came to selling their primary's, hopefully this will too, for the customers sake.

This style of video was really cool to see, it felt very honest and really fun, doubly so because red blasters numbers were a little low and the fps spread was pretty wide for some of the configurations. But actually I look at that as a good thing, you guys showed us what this thing can do, flaws and all. Add to that the blaster looks cool, the extension barrel is concept people are going to expect as standard on everything soon cause it's so goddamn cool, and while some people have been saying "x or y blaster is better for cheaper, why even release this?". I have a few things to say to that. 1. Not every blaster has to be the best, or the most efficient or whatever, that's not the only reason we play silly foam dart battles. 2. Dart zones distribution ability extends well beyond the hobby range that Worker caters for, just imagine some kid's grandma getting them this for Christmas, they'd be blown away. 3. This is an honest effort from a big company to produce something for a hobby that until a few years ago had basically no support at all from the toy sector. The Nexus Pro was not the best blaster on the market when it released either, and it didn't need to be. We don't need the best of everything, we need companies to take risks and innovate and not be afraid of failure. That is the future. Also props to DZ for having comments turned on for this video, very bold. I respect that.

You know I'm sorry it's blasters not worth $180 the Harrier is a much better option for the same price to get better performance close to three hundred if not 300 FPS Well the speed on it is absolutely abysmal I mean if that's the same speed as a game face trion which is $80 So I mean as much as I like your blaster in your company I think I'll pass on that one it's just not worth $180 But good luck in your sales

check dr flux latest short, mk4 internals are all metal (catch, tube, plunger, pusher, ram base etc)

aside from including possible erroneous values and not factoring in the duplicate 222 for the high powered with the "super charger" barrel and that accuracy test being scuffed id say this is definitely and ambitious flagship high performance blaster it defnintily looks like with further tuning and tweaking in a few areas that it will be a great blaster.

Honestly, the swift changes the game imo (i know the harrier is better comfort wise but the swift came first). After that this seems tame in comparison. The high fps that this achieve is also partly from using lighter dart which is not good. The mk4 seems like a solid blaster but trion, swift, harrier is still my preferred choice. I think the low fps spring is too low, shouldn’t go below 110fps. If the trion, swift, and harrier doesn’t exist the mk4 will be great. But now it’s just another option in the market and it seems like it has less value/dollar ratio compared to others.

lots of negativity here, but I dont see why. I'm excited for the release, prime looks buttery smooth, and the ability to go from 100 FPS to 225+ FPS makes it applicable to almost all game types. ordered a pair of vault blue versions, I'm sure this blaster will hit 270+ with very minor upgrades

I know most people, being turned off by the price, will probably call me weird, but I preordered mine when the Blaster Chat episode showcasing it came out and honestly I'm still excited to get it! I think my thoughts can be summed up with that one Top Gear meme Harrier & Trion: "This is brilliant!" DZP Mk 4: "But _I like_ this."

Overall I dig what I saw but one thing caught my eye: the low power spring was very inconsistent. We’re expected to hit 120 with the low power + muzzle and only one of the shots out of 5 hit 120. The other 4 shots hit 90

Can it handle a 1.8 spring

Really prefer a flywheel blaster instead, The Harrier appears to be better for that price😮

LOL. Accuracy testing here is a joke. Only 4 shots fired at 20 feet, 3 of which miss. So the accuracy is already terrible at 20 feet. At 50 feet, only a single shot is fired, and it's probably just a "lucky" hit. Possibly many shots were actually fired in order to get that 1 hit. Clearly there's no intention here of showing the blaster's actual accuracy. With a $4 blaster (x shot skins menace) firing a shortened dart at 20 feet I get way better accuracy (it should hit that target near dead center every time). To be fair though, I'm firing the same 1 dart over and over. And I'm loading it in with the same orientation every time, which is what allows for consistent shots. The included x shot darts are obviously not perfectly symmetrical and loading them in with a random orientation leads to very poor accuracy.

mine shot way right i had to dremal the barrel shroud and physically move the tip of the barrel to the left but its shooting spot on now

Dart Zone, the video isn't bad. You tried to be honest. But like many people I was expecting a better blaster. I have and like the performance of your darts, the Nexus Pro, and the Savage Spin. But this one is like the MK3, an initial high price, some issues, only good to try when price is low, and have luck that it don't broke. I have the MK3 not working in a corner. My recommendation to Dart Zone is take a "tactical retreat". Avoid the mistakes from Nerf.

It should come with a 150FPS spring

So the fps testing is only over 5 shots with the crappy light darts... Does the long barrel have a working scar? And the accuracy test on the big barrel gets only ONE shot at a very close range. Not impressed... I am not a fan of the Worker Harrier, but for a comparison, the Harrier is a vastly better blaster right out of the ox, despite its issues. The Harrier hits harder, and is way more accurate at the distances they use in the video. It can hit a 1 inch target with better consistancy than this massive Jokey toy. Solid pass...

Why not have a scar barrel that you could put onto the super charge muzzle? Looks like a very cool blaster

why exactly cant we use scar attachment with your super charger barrel ? thats the main reason why im not getting it

Deviation of the fps sucks 40 or 50 that definitely needs tuning

disapointing blaster but 0 tactics im not buying it. could have removed some stuff from the packages to make it cheaper like who needs protections a lot of lost potential very sad. I'd rather buy another stryker or trion

That's terrible, we can hear the air leak out of the Red blaster there was no seal...and sub 100 fps Performance is kind of "unacceptable" on a 180$. That's kind of disappointing even on the Blue MK-4(that seem to have a better seal) the FPS seems a bit average for the size/price of the thing. Since no availability for Canada, I guess I'll never know! But a 180$, I don't really see it... I challenge you to prove me wrong.

Cool vid! I preordered the blue mk 4 when it was announced. I'm curious how come only one 50 ft shot at the target? I would have liked to see the grouping of five shots at 50 ft.

Hate to say it, but this is a major step backwards from the Tomcat. The Tomcat is like the most beautiful blaster on the market...the mk4 looks like you asked a toddler to draw the Tomcat from memory.

I really don’t understand the low power spring. Who would even use it? HVZ is usually 120 so I could see a spring in that range. I hate that long muzzle, I don’t want a blaster that is that long and I don’t like the fact you need it to hit the 200fps mark. I gotta be honest the MK4 really seems like wash, too much for a lackluster blaster that’s not doing anything very well. Looking forward to your next blaster reveal and the new 2X darts though.

I like your products and it looks good but i would like to advocate for some more "fun" blasters you know like take good concepts that didnt work out and really polish them and release it with the better performance and decent ergo i feel like thats what really shines in the hobby.

I kinda like the looks of the MK4 but with extension it looks like you're firing a M1 Garand. And being on the smaller side a big gun works to my disadvantage. The Harrier or the new Unicorn may be a better fit for me.
