Reading the actual report in it's entirety is fun as well, because at one point the government investigates themselves and finds themselves innocent of any treason or wrong doing.

9:00 if you were able to slow it down enough you would be able to see the agent catch the bullet by the back right before it fully enters the second jug, put it in his pocket and run away

Entrance wounds are almost always smaller than the exit wound. Your test would have been more accurate if you would’ve used one of the fake skulls and shot it from the front. Then you could compare the rear shot to the front shot and see if the exit wounds match the Zapruder film.

i have no opinion on the matter, but i think it should be brought to your attention that water is *not* soft. liquids are uncompressible, meaning upon sudden impacts the volume cannot be displaced quickly enough, causing water to act as a tough solid for a split second after the impact. this is the reason why falling flat on water hurts. this effect is in part mitigated by objects with low surface area, such as a bullet, but i still think fleece or some sort of foam/fibers would make a better bullet preserver.

The only problem I have is the distance. All of the tests were done at fairly close range, and the WC concluded that all the shots came from the school book depository. The car was also moving, and there were other buildings as well. The first test looked like it may have closely replicated what happened to Kennedy’s head, but that’s about all I saw that could prove Oswald acted alone. Still the testimonies, the documents continued to be locked up, the expert marksmen that claim they couldn’t do the job in the time and with the precision that Oswald did is very suspicious at best. If the government has nothing to hide then why keep the files locked up?

When water is put under pressure it starts acting like a solid so when the bullet hits with higher speed it meets more resistance there for damaging it more. the opposite is true after hitting the head and dumping some of its momentum in it therefore going slower and being less damaged.

So I've read that James Files admitted to shooting Kennedy with a Remington fireball pistol .222 (which is the 1960s predecessor to the .223 of ar-15 fame) from behind the fence on the grassy knoll. Interested in the forensics of that caliber as well as the "back and to the left" statement from the jfk movie. Shot was from 100 feet down hill. What still gets me from the grassy knoll theory is the trajectory of a hi power .222 from 100 ft would've had a massive exit wound, with fragments of bullet that would've damaged the car or Jackie IMHO.

I was actually just telling a friend about this, 6.5 carcano tends to have a thicker jacket compared to other calibers, and it's not a super high velocity round. Not saying there weren't shenanigans around the Kennedy assassination, but if any bullet would look pristine after passing through bone, that's a good contender.

The magic bullet went through a suit, shirt, Kennedy, shirt, suit, shirt, Connolly, Connolly's rib, shirt,shirt, Connolly's wrist shattering bones, then into suit pants and Connolly's leg to fall out on a stretcher in the hospital looking like that. Yeah right

Watching the Zapruder film it looked like JFK was looking down and to the left, and maybe leaning forwards a little. So the bullet may have hit at an odd angle, glancing blow perhaps which could explain the lack of damage to his face. Although the spray pattern almost makes it look like a shot from ground level, straight through. It may be almost impossible to recreate the shot and all the angles/trajectories but it would be fascinating to see if a shot from a 6th floor window with the head in the same orientation as JFK's could actually do the damage we saw. And then do it again from the front, rail overpass and/or grassy knoll.

Brandon. As a carcano owner for years. I must add you shot the wrong ammo and that makes a large difference. The modern spritzer bullets are designed to tumble and the original loads were 160grain round nose which was known to zip through enemies in the wars and not cause much damage.

This is absolutely hilarious, along with being very informed.

As the bullet travels out it carries fragments of bone and tissue. Your first two test, I think, showed the bullet lost energy and bounced off a water bottle. The third test the bullet had more energy because the fake head was void of liquid. Test results are interesting but inconclusive. Ifind it hard to believe the actual bullet wasn't somehow deformed but the particular bullet does seem very durable.

I kind of think if you'd had the old style round nosed FMJ bullets they wouldn't have deflected as mush as you would with the semi pointed FMJ. But hell, what do I know? good video man.

WWII surplus ammo (as used by Oswald) used bullet jackets that were MUCH thicker than modern bullets. Further, the cores were harder. Modern cores are nearly pure lead. Not so in WWII.

The bullet was obviously the one that shot Roosevelt, his manliness was able to deflect the bullet without damaging it

Plus, with that first shot at an angle which you got a similar result to the Warren Commission, you have remarkably made a case that the bullet was coming from behind and not from the front at the Grassy Knoll. For years, people were saying that a bullet from the rear won't blow out the front of the head like that, only one from the front would. They were doing tests on paint cans and all kinds of things.

Brendon the thing you are leaving out is attaching the head to a spring of sorts to see in what direction the head moves during impact i.e. back or forward. In the actual film, Kennedy's head moves backward during impact? Should the head not have moved forward going with the force of the bullet impact at the back of the head. Again in the actual film footage, Kenedy's head goes to the back indicative of a frontal shot? You need to set this up better for this question to be answered. Kinetic energy is passed on in the direction it is going.

The official doctor said the hole was bigger on the back side of his head. Meaning that the hole on the backside was an exit hole.

I'm hardly an expert, but as I understand, water is not particularly soft. The surface tension results in something roughly as hard as concrete which can cause a pretty significant amount of damage to a projectile, especially one travelling that fast. As Paul Harrell said, "Water is an almost perfect medium for projectile expansion." A quick google search shows that a large cardboard box filled with rubber landscaping mulch provides an excellent medium for catching bullets without causing excess damage to them.

Dude, try freshly fallen, soft un-packed snow for stopping a bullet. I have located several from my 357 mag behind my target in snow like this. Works better than water. You can often see "streaks" in such snow behind a target that is set on or near the ground. Many times I just put my fingers these streaks behind the target and dragged them along in the direction the bullet traveled and often found pristine (once fired) bullets with the most picture perfect rifling marks that you could imagine. And just like the "Magic bullet" from the JFK case, no evident impact marks on it. Ya, snow must be kind of rare where you're at but trust me, try this if you ever get a chance, you'll dig it!

The fact they still won't release the documents after 60 years says that there are things they still don't want us to know. It's a disgrace.

Most "Magic Bullet" theories assume both JFK and Connely were at the same level and facing forward. If you look at the setup of the actual limousine, Connely's seat was about 6 inches lower than Kennedy's and Connely was in the process of turning around from talking to Kennedy. If you take these factors into consideration the shot was a straight shot.

recommendation for the future: you can put the bullet through the water jugs with less deformation if you open the lids, that gives the water some place to displace to and while it will probably take more water to slow down, it will also allow the bullet to retain its shape better.

The most improbable thing that happened was when Jackie freaked out and jumped out of the car... The explanation was that she was fetching some brains... No; She freaked out because his face just split in two and exploded right in front of her... She knew right away it was over. With all those fragments everywhere, and multiple snipers, it's amazing she walked away unharmed... I have a theory that one of the agents may have been hiding in that giant trunk onboard; Notice there is a nice sized gap to peer out of, and this could explain the dent in the chrome on the top of the inside of the windshield, trajectory and angle. I counted 7 projectiles, 1 through windshield, 1 to chrome above windshield, 1 through Gub, 1 through neck, 1 to curb, 1 to manhole cover, 1 to headshot. A car once charged through our 3 hmmwv convoy in our sector in Baghdad. Three different gun truck lit him up with. Three different 240 gunners let off close to 100 rounds from different angles. The guy got out after the engine blew and didn’t have a scratch on him. Not one freaking scratch. And the car was Swiss cheese. Terminal ballistics make no sense sometimes.
