I upvote this, Betaflight Blackbox can do a nice stick video overlay for your GoPro (any video feed really) as well as showing accelerator readings if you want, and motor power asked by the FC < I find this particularly helpful finding where the battery needs to be, it can show if the back end is maxed out while the front has power to spare, meaning I've got the weight too far back and limiting my performance by a lot.

Jake Garrett BF 4.0 will have stick overlay on the OSD, but the blackbox one is still better.

Could just set them to the same video channel (or just hold the channel scan on your goggles so it auto-detects). Also, if they are remotely modern (even my whoop can do this), you put your sticks in a certain position and your OSD will allow you to change your Betaflight settings (I think that one of my quads hasn't been updated in AT LEAST 8 months, so that feature must have been around for a while, I just didn't know about it). You can also just set up all your quads similar, but honestly, you're going to take like 5 seconds to figure out the difference and adjust without thinking (my whoop has like 1200 deg/s, and my big quad is super slow like 630 deg/s, Granger said in a comment he runs 600 deg/s. It takes me all of 3 seconds to adjust for that massive difference in rates). Once your PID is tuned, and your OSD setup like you want, I don't see a big reason to update firmware if its flying great (if you change motors/props/ESC, sure you'll want to update or tweak settings, but otherwise once they are tuned, not a big deal unless you're super OCD about having it absolutely perfect, but after a few crashes, my props are much too bendy for perfection, LOL!) Also why are you setting up switches differently? You need a kill switch that you can hit before you even crash (it takes me roughly 0.1 second or less in reaction and flipping it since I routinely flip that switch and I'm super familiar with it). If you have rate profile switch (I have that too, but I find I usually leave it in default and never really mess with it), then that should probably be set up similar across all your quads (Low/med/ludicrous sensitivity). There should really only be those 2 swtiches. If you have a third for auto-level for letting kids fly it, then its not like you'll be switching out of acro-mode anyways, but that should still be the same switch accross all of your quads, and you could just put a sticker on your controller since you won't need it while flying. For the most part, quads follow the same channel (and therefore switches) since its pretty standard in Betaflight. Hopefully that was plenty of detail, lol, felt like I was writing a novel, but I wanted to include everything I could so it could be helpful. That's pretty much what has worked for me, that and descriptive names on my controller like Yoda80: a prototype I designed, Lizard95, ZMR250, Bwhoop (brushed whoop), USwhoop (one that is US flag wrapped decal), SuperWhoop (another prototype based on the Lizard95). Then I have my controller crammed full of airplanes too, so having names based off frame design or very distinguishable feature is really a must at this point. Hope this helps!

@@jakegarrett8109 Dear Jake, thanks a lot for your novel ;-) I really appriciate the time you spent to write so detailled! It helps a lot. But sadly not in all points. Since I have had drones since 2012, a lot changed. So, f.e., I have a lot of drones without Raceband, so it is hard to find just one channel for all models. The same goes for OSD, and like I said, the settings. In former days, you had stabilized and rate mode, now you have airmode and turtle mode, so your preferences change, but older controller can not handle that. Maybe I just fly the new ones ;-)

@@cactusfpv9458 For me, it probably has something to do with me being a modified pincher and the human hand is designed to naturally grip (left yaw) vs pushing something away with the fingertips (right yaw).
