In 2009, La Nuit de l’Homme was the very first fragrance I ever purchased. My love of scents started there. Nine years and hundreds of fragrances, both niche and designer later and it still has a special place in my heart

Just bought it from Fragrancenet and it’s 1-2018 New packaging. I love it! It’s soft, mellow and lasts a decent amount of time on my skin. I like the idea of spritzing often. Always carry samples with me to freshen through the day. 6.7 Oz on Fragrancenet was $100

I have a bottle from 01/2015 and am not sure if the fragrance aged (mazeration) or if my perception of it simply has changed, but now I actually like it a bit more, because it seems to be woodier and less sweet (and I've become quite critical when it comes to sweetness). In my experience it lasts at least 5-6 hours on skin, but it doesn't project at all after 1-2 hours. Definitely a well-received fragrance, though.

My favorite.....when my husband wears this I get weak in my knees 💕

La Nuit de L’homme is a wonderful fragrance. I use it for work or nights out. I think I like L’homme a little more though. Actually wearing it today. My girlfriend loves both.

MAX EXCELLENT REVIEW AND FANTASTIC INSIGHT!!!!! This one has me very excited as La Nuit d’lhomme is one of my favorites. I have more back up bottles of la Nuit then any other....2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 ~Art Edition and a few of the recent formulations I received as gift sets mostly for the shower gels. It’s my wife’s favorite out of my entire collection of designers and niche fragrances. My original bottles are superior and strong and the projection and sillage is atomic at times. on the money MAX

I remember the hype of La Niut de L"homme. At first sniff ... wow! Then it happened 2 hrs later ... POOF! It was my first understanding of fragrance reformulation. Sold it. Kinda regret now bc I love the scent.

So glad I bought a couple bottles of Avant Garde when it was still cheap and available. I also had an opportunity to scoop up 200 mL of the original La Nuit for like a hundred bucks back in the day and I passed. I just think my 2015 formulation is good enough. Little less density and sweetness, but still good enough.

I must be one of the few people that get solid performance out of the new formulation. It's not beast mode but good enough.

Would of been great to see your thoughts on how the Parfumes Vintage, and Alexandria's renditions of La Nuit De Lhomme stacked up since they are readily available.

Nice video Max. another great fragrance that smells almost exactly the vintage la nuit is Ombré Noir by Alexandria Fragrances (based on 2009 batch), it has an astonishing performance and the best thing is the price: $40 for a 60ml bottle.

Fragrance is a fantastic aroma, I love the smell, my wife loves the smell, I like how it settles on my skin and on clothing, but..........the performance on the latest batch is very disappointing, it is so frustrating. I haven't been lucky enough to get my hands on a vintage bottle, but judging from the comments of others the original formulation performed far better. I only purchase this fragrance as a decant so I can take it out with me and re-apply when required.

Zara Y collection is strikingly similar as well. It's very cheap but hardly in stock.

I really like the original L'homme. It is a nice office scent or summer scent as it is fresh, non intrusive and to me just really smells good and my wife agrees.

I've never got to smell the old formulation, I only have the current one and with 8 sprays I can barely smell the scent after 20 minutes, even when I press my nose onto my skin - and I'm not even exaggerating for dramatic purposes... It's such a shame because this scent is really, really beautiful. I wish perfume houses had a more transparent conduct as to reformulations...

It's not overhyped. It's just that too many wears this that it's nothing special anymore. I smell this on people in their early 20's, both Male and Female all the time that i grew tired of it.

I finally got one to try it out. And honestly, it is far from being remarkable. In fact, I find it synthetic smelling and sharp (not in a good way). I should have gone to a physical store to try it before buying online... I would not have spent $70+ on something that I'll probably not use. There are much better "date night" fragrances out there.

I like this scent and I want to buy it but I am wondering if new formulation is good. what is the difference between the 2015 formulation and 2017/2018 formulation? is it longer lasting? and what about of sillage?

I’ve found 2 bottles of vintage 2009 formulation in my city so far, the best part is i only paid 40$ CAD lol

I have 2009 60 ml, 2010 100ml 2011 100ml 2012 100 ml 2013 ml 100ml 2016 100 ML and 2017 60 ml. I get more compliments with 2016/2017 however for some odd reason my 2017 is more noticeable and projects better on me. The older ones are deeper richer yes but the smell is now outdated, at the least with current one, the cider is boosted up and "powderyness" is much less, less cardamom. And once again, I get very good performance with 2017. Go with 6-7 sprays (spray on same spot twice) with the new one, i get 8-9 hours easy. I have studied this fragrance for many years not worth chasing after the older ones. Slightly off topic, la nuit de l'homme frozen cologne gives me more compliments that the original. ;)

It was a good fragrance but the performance was no Bueno so will never buy again. Great Chanel Max keep up the good work brother👍

It's weird, when I tested this out on multiple occasions all I got was a warm cinnamon doughnut scent with not much backbone, even into the dry down too. People around me LOVE it, but personally I don't. I'm trying to consider if it's really worth it.

Yves Saint Laurent La Nuit de L'Homme - 2019 Bottle - Weak Performance? I'm no frag connoisseur but this is one of the top rated men frags out there so I decided to give it a try. I bought a bottle new (2019 batch) yesterday and to me it smells like baby powder mixed with funeral home dead people aura. Maybe a touch of coconut. The scent is very faint, little to no projection. I'm really not sure how people like this or mine is just a super reformulated version. I prefer Jean Paul Gaultier Ultra Male or Versace Eros, am I doing something wrong or?

I don't hype it but wore it as a main scent and I have been complicated on this by ladies more than any other fragrance. With DHI I have never gotten a compliment and don't think ladies like it. I had to buy two bottles and it still did not work for me. Pure Malt, GIT. Midnight in Paris, whatever. I can rely on La nuit when I need it to go out o a date or dancing. Other scents I can't trust when I go out at night.

I've got two vintage bottle's 100ml 2009 batch , one with a box and the second bottle a tester, batch codes 9LAA and 9FAA Found them in a local store in Saudi Arabia for 120$ for two bottles 😂, i think i was sooooo lucky , on my skin last about 14+ hour's !!!! , i have also 2018 batch that last 8 hours on me they are pretty close but the vintage is richer darker and more spicy

I bought Ysl la nuit de l'homme yesterday after than I said was made in May 2017 in checkfresh.com. Last only for probably 2 hours on my skin. I'm regretting this blind-buy !

When I type Lanuit on the search bar in the fragrance website, so many different color of Lanuit pop up. I don't which one to buy. Can Someone explain what are the most popular Lanuit fragrances and when these Lanuit fragrance are appropriate to wear?

I have a 2009 and a 2010 Full 100mls. Hanging on to them and using sparingly. I think the newer formulations are fresher smelling and the older are def darker. My old ones are nighttime only, my 2016 I can wear during the day also.

Just bought a new bottle at Macys, big 6.8oz bottle. I tried the tester on my skin, did some shopping and not even home yet i have to dig my nose to really smell it. It has become a skin scent, will be testing the bottle i just got later this week and will post updates. Also will be checking the batch date. But very true this scent has had many changes from 2009. My first impression of the 09 version was WICKED! a natural green earthy engulfing scent, yes a little powdery but with a seductive punch of oak moss i think is the ingredient that has been taken out or replaced with a synthetic version. Some say cause the EU has new rules and safety etc. I've tried 2011,12,13 bottles that did ok but the new formula was apparent. Total crime what they did to this scent. Now if my new bottle is same as that sampler at the store back it will go. Tester could not even make it out the store on my skin (note my skin always works well with almost all colognes), sprayed twice first thing as i came to the store. Bought a shirt, pair of jeans, little starbucks coffee break, about to leave macys and had to sniff like it was coke on my arm to get any La nuit scent. UNACCEPTABLE!! New bottle better beat this!!

Smelled a 2019 version, to me personally it just smelled like powder and nothing else, even waited for 2 hours to see whether the smell changed, man o man it was powdery smell and nothing else, couldn't understand the hype for this..

La Nuit de l‘Homme is for me one of the best smelling fragrances ever created. I don‘t like the Intenese because for me it smells to sweet compared to the EDT. And I also don‘t like the Parfum because for me it has a strange alcoholic note.

I dont know which one I have but i don't see anything special in this, is an ok for me, never had a compliment, i get more compliments with club d nuit intense man than this. Not even by my wife hahahha lol.

La nuit is definitely an Ok scent, I have half a bottle of the 2009 and a full bottle of the 1st formulation the 2009 I've had since then and the other I just ran into the sealed bottle in a store of all places a few Months ago but I digress I really dont think its as good as people make it out to be I never care to wanna wear it why people have made it into this this mythical beast 😒🤔 its just not that good.
