The 2018 just isn't the same. La Nuit is my favorite fragrance, but only if it's 2015 or earlier. I really love 2015 and earlier, but only like the 2018. 2018 just feels so watered down and almost fresh as opposed to ehat it should smell like. The scent is fine, but only fine. Also doesn't last nearly as long as earlier batches. 2015 and earlier batches are harder to find and a little more expensive, but it's not that bad. And it's SO worth it.

Very nice review man. I also have La Nuit from 2018 and never tried the original, I find it extremely light and almost gone after 2 hours. Compare that to Sauvage EDP I also have and they are on a different level on performance side. But the smell, oh boy... just carry a travel atomiser and reapply basically any chance you have! I also have tried l’homme I quite like it (same performance). Do you think it would be redundant to have both? I am indecise between that and Chanel Allure Homme Sport EE. What would you advice for a next purchase?

I have 2018. 100ml bottle and it stays on my skin for about 6-7 hours, but I must see how long does it projects, I think minimum 2-3 hours

I am embarrassed to say only just bought my first bottle. It was an absolute bargain £35 for 100ml about $42ish I think. I am lucky in the sense the 2018 is the only one iv smelt properly. It's gorgeous. I would say boss soul is actually very close, my all time favourite back in the day was probably far cheaper but sadly discontinued soul lndh is a nice replacement

Age your bottle by let it sit under Not Direct sunlight, like a lamp for 6 to 8 month without the Big cap and spray 10 times or so to let oxygen go inside the bottle so will help more reaction in the mix , then with time you get the intense much more better Aged smell, that's what the older batches done naturally just aged, it's like wine , more let it sit more it gets better, i have 2019 Aventus I let it by the window for next year and then, you see what I mean , it will be much more better ;tripple times better, you don't expect the bottle to smell perfect the first day you buy, you welcome guys now you know the secret of why olderbatches are better.

I recently got a 2018 however Joy bhai I find the projection to be around only half an hour and the effect actually lasts around an hour and then it dries down......by the second hour or third hour I can't even tell if it's still there 😂 So I kinda have to carry the atomizer around on a date night :/

idk how well known this is but i think this is important news to share: so first of all in terms of reformulations of la nuit there have only been 2 in the past years... you will hear people talk about wether there have been further reformulations around 2018 or 2020 and so on but if you look at the actual formula code (back of the box after the ingredients list) you can see that the orignal formula code is 8YB02-1, the 1st reformulation (~2012) is 8YB02-2 and then the 2nd reformulation (~2015) is C167049/1 and all the batches until now have had the same formula code, so the same juice (my 2020 bottle included e.g.)... you will see differences in colouration but that's mostly effects of maceration i believe... maybe there are some minute batch variations but negligable considering there are variations anyway with different skin chemistry etc... however, i recently purchased a new 2022 bottle and upon spraying it i thought i got a fake, it was that different... lo and behold when i looked on the back of the box there was a new formula code "N70011799/1"... so apparently there has been another reformulation recently, idk when exactly... if you wanna talk about bad reformulation this is it imo... this is truly a watered down la nuit, the previous batches since 2015 seem amazing compared to these newer ones... pick up any leftover bottles from previous years (C167049/1) while you have the chance guys...
