Framing Frame rush challenge: worst vault, all loot, ECMs only

Framing Frame is an iconic stealth heist, very representative of stealth in PAYDAY 2, and often considered to be at the top of the sneaky heists. However, what if you decide to stealth it in the opposite way of what was intended? Guns blazing from the start, rushing at full speed. In order to handicap ourselvs, we won't use any Pocket ECMs, so our total rush time goes down from 6 to 4 minutes. Additionally, we also need to get all the loot. Is such a challenge feasible, if you get the worst possible vault spawn...?

Overkill can make any NPC unkillable with the “Invulnerable” element maps have; that’s why NPCs such as Bain or Hoxton are unkillable too!

So for my DSOD mask, I did most of the heists solo. This was maybe 6 months after I picked up the game seriously again after a 4 year hiatus. Day 3 took an entire day of restarts. Truly truly a Payday classic.

The Immortal guard will only spawn if you use your last pager (4/4). He can be very annoying as he can shoot you and you will perish, causing another teammate to revive you and maybe him dying as well. You can get around this by simply dominating him fast enough or just alerting him so fast when he spawns he cant do harm to any of your team. Guess overkill decided to try and stop the modders and cheaters. Also 4:15 "Host advantage"

Actually a very important distinction - upon using 4 pagers, the inspector that comes is NOT immortal. He can be killed as any regular guard, and also dominated. If you kill _that one in particular,_ then the 2nd inspector is called, and that one is completely immortal! (but still can be dominated) Also, host advantage OP :p glad you liked that detail chaos!

Good choice Source! Just like No Mercy, the heist has many tight corridors and lots of spawns. Personally I used Dragon Heist, because I had another loud achievement that I needed there :D

Kinda funny that they made him invincible yup! He can still be dominated (within 1.5s of him becoming alerted), but he never takes damage. Probably for the reasons that *@chaosyetchaos* mentioned above.

I remember my first time trying to do solo stealth on FF. I don't have a second monitor so I printed out (💀) the loot map from the wiki and just drew a line on it as i went around the map and crossed all the locations that items didn't spawn in💀💀

Framing frame took me like 5 hours on this map because i failed so many times and played solo . After that i decided to play on public and they was suffered as well lmao . Until i learn about trip mine placements and it is make my life easier ( until big bank ... )

Very interesting! I always knew that a classic 4ECM rush without PECM was possible since people used to do it pre-hacker back in the day, but I've never seen anyone do it with the "bad" vault spawn. Always seemed like it'd be a bit tight, but you guys had more than enough time to spare! Makes me wonder how many people have done it before now, because I feel the vast majority would just auto-restart when they see far vault haha.

But the numbers might be limited because, ever since the Hacker release, I assume that not many are handicapping themselves on purpose by not bringing Pocket ECMs :p

One of my favorites as well :D Lately I mostly enjoy rushing the whole thing with armor included, trying to get as close as possible to the 1:00 completion time. Really really tricky, but so satisfying!

Hey mohamed! Are you playing on either an old version, or on console? Back in the day the lasers used to turn off for only a short time; but nowadays they turn off for a full 45s.

It's gonna be a lot slower yup compared to the other 2 vaults. Plus it'll often involve lots of unavoidable waiting with the last 2 guards roaming around, which can be very boring.

Very well spotted Dark! I was actually hoping that someone would notice it, because I really liked how the ingame timer and ECM timer both lined up perfectly, even though the 2 runs were different. While editing I really liked that fact, so I decided to set it up like that :D Even though it's quite noticeable because the gameplay itself has a bit of a jump at that point.

It's kinda bonkers to me that the game doesn't warn you without Bain specifically saying that the lasers turn on after awhile. Almost lost my solo run because of the furthest fault spawn a n d the lasers.

My favorite way to move the bags when the vault spawns in the front is to move them to the glass ceiling and break it so they land in front of the vault. Yes, the shortcut can be fast but not so epic (?). Amazing video Marc! Do the Murky Station and Scarface ECM Rush pls :D

Aah for sure one of the best approaches GVZ! I like doing that, especially when playing duo / solo. Stack all 8 bags there, wait until no one's nearby, and then break the glass. Quickly move all 8 cokes into position, and ECM the ending if you get caught by a guard entering the room! (also Murky soon!)

Hey youtubefan! Very good question, especially considering my latest video about damage in stealth. I could certainly just use the Judge, but I like the Locomotive so much (visually) that I instead spend a bunch of skill points on Berserker ACE and Frenzy to increase my damage, which makes the Locomotive viable. It's not too bad because these are essential skills for a saw build anyway, so it works out :D

very nice run, but surely you can take the last 3-4 bags on your backs? they still count as secured and give you a faster xp/min rate. or am i missing something? do bags secured on your back not count towards xp objectives? I must be missing something...

Hey Genzu! Very good question, and basically you came up with the answer yourself :) Bags taken to the escape while carried on your back count for MONEY, but not for XP. Thus for any route focused on XP farming, you want to always secure the loot rather than carrying it on your back. Additionally, some bags without money value (like the Old Wine on this heist) can be carried to the escape so they count for money, but that's a minor thing.

When I do this solo, I usually rush the gadgets before dealing with the guards. If one is in the way or I can take out cleanly along the way, usually I'll do it. Never done many group heists since they usually screw it up. This one was clean af though, ECM rushing looks like a blast that results in some quick times. Fastest solo day 3 for me is just under 15. 😂😂

Hey keitainaba! If you don't care XP that's good, because basically bags carried on your bag count towards the money, but not towards the XP! For this reason you can actually carry the Old Wine on your back, and get a tiny amount of bonus money at the end of the heist :)

Hey Mizu! Just personal preference really. I really like how it looks visually, and also its reload style (and magazine size) are more suited for more playstyle. The Judge is really good too of course :)

Is the bag shortcut still worth using on the upstairs vault ? I usually just drop em through the window you used to get the gold bags

If you know you have the top vault, I wouldn't bother using the shortcut. It would depend on the run I would guess. I never use the windows since I'm mostly a Solo player so I couldn't give full details. But I imagine doing an ECM rush like so it could seem faster, or could be close to same times... Good question.

Hey Salok! Very good question. It really depends on how coordinated your crew is, and the size of your crew. In our case, the clear bottleneck is the heist spawning new coke bags, so clearly for us it's faster to use the shortcut, since it's a faster way for the roof players to transfer the bags to the other 2 players (there are no other convenient throws that connect faster for that vault). For solo / duo, it's better to throw them through the roof window in every situation. For full crews that aren't very well coordinated, it's probably faster to use the roof window as well, simply because the bottleneck will be moving the bags, not the heist spawning them in.

@@MattyEvan For solo I like taking a risk and stacking all 8 bags on top of the glass, and then breaking it. Make sure no one is nearby to hear it, and start moving the coke as fast as you can. If any guard comes up and sees what you're doing, try to finish within the minute of time that ECMs give you. It's really fun! :D

I did a stupid mistake yesterday and got a little ahead of myself by running into the vault with the lazers still up, I guess I wasn't thinking straight at the time. Hey Limbo! Go to your inventory and make sure your armor value is at "20". If you have more armor, you will need more shots! Also some mods like VanillaHUD+ turn your judges into single shot, which is a mess!

Hey Tanja! The wine doesn't count for XP so I explicitly told the crew not to get it :p However we did have a bunch of time to spare, and we checked all 3 vault spots, so technically you could get the wine as well, if you wanted a tiny bit of extra money!

Hey cuscus! The weapons are optimized for stealth, but most of them are very loud because we're rushing anyway (especially the explosive shotguns to trigger Second Wind).

This isn't related to the video but does anyone know why completing the Lost in transit heist on normal or above has 0.1% of people completing it? Because when I checked it did say 0.1% of people have this achievement. I guess I have a really rare achivement.

Hey jay! It's probably because the heist is so new. The total playerbase is a really large number (the devs at some point gave away 5,000,000 copies for free; on top of all the base games they've sold over the years) so when a new heist releases it's only completed by a tiny percentage of that number (about ~40K players). That's why the achievements are so rare :)

@@nemanja54pchead39 For sure yeah! The limited time aspect is definitely what I like the most. I like when you start the rush FROM THE BEGINNING so you know that you either complete the whole thing within your time limit, or you're facing the assault. It's a different kind of challenge, I feel :D

Hey foxyin! Very good question. As far as I know, you'll be able to grab gold, but there's no drop-off point to secure it, so you can only carry 4 bags on your backs (which count for money, but not for XP).

In the preplanning there is the "Bag Shortcut" asset

Firstly you have to buy the bag shortcut asset using favours in preplanning, once you buy that then there is a vent on the roof (near where you spawn) to throw the coke into, which makes it drop down on the 1st floor. You have to be much more careful in stealth when using this though!

How do you get so few damage on sw?

Hey monochrome! Excellent question. It's two different things: 1) My HE Judges have a silencer so the damage is as low as it can be while still damaging all my armor. No damage skills either. 2) I'm using Frenzy ACE which reduces the damage even further. This allows me to lower my health to get the most out of Yakuza, while still being able to use SW :)

@@mauer1 Also this is a very old heist, back at launch you could, without any mods, dominate a guard to prevent the pager from going off, so FF was very easy as you could dominate every guard and run around freely and still have 4 pagers

I agree with what they said yup, pretty sure it's just to mess with Silent Assassin players! Even though the fix is as simple as being there when he arrives, pressing F within 1.5s, and dominating him... but most SA players can't manage that, so it works out fine!

What's the difference in mods? You can time the ecm with a phone app aswell Or even if you take off 2 seconds per ecm because people are scared it's still within the slower time

@@mauer1 If you often use these kind of helper mods then I understand why there's no difference in between that and using an external device to help. I got nothing against these kind of mods but it's still a way of cheating since it undeniably makes the game easier, that is a fact that somehow triggers many people. What I mean to say is why bother doing a challenge is you're going to spoil it with mods? It's something I just don't prefer. An example of doing this challenge fairly would be to watch the in-game timer and have each player place an ECM as a precalculated time, I think that's perfectly possible with some practice.

Hey justapieceofsoap! Very fair comment, I agree somewhat! However my upload just a few weeks ago was actually about ECM rushing without HUD: not only with perfectly timed ECMs, but also with perfectly timed Pocket ECMs. I demonstrated how simple it is with a full Big Bank rush, regardless of player color, and you can quite easily see that with a bit of knowledge, it really is very simple! So while I agree that it's true that for beginner rushers turning off the HUD adds a considerable amount of difficulty, for experienced rushers it's a meaningless difference, and the HUD is mostly there so that the viewer can follow what's happening exactly :p For more details check the video I just referenced, which I uploaded 4 weeks ago!
