What a great book. Can’t wait to get mine. Love these new patterns! Come on Fran, let’s do some sew-alongs. It would be so much fun. It would be great seeing these patterns in other types of fabric, as well. Most of these fabrics are very modern and “bold”, hence the name of your great new book, but many of us don’t have these types of fabrics on hand.
Fran, I'm looking at these four quilts and thinking, these can't be one block wonder quilts! Then you pieced them out and sure enough, you have managed to make one block look so complicated. Thank you for this book. I am looking forward to buying it.
You have created some wonderful quilts, and they are bold 🤩 I’m sure lots of people will be inspired to make them because you have used relatively easy to make blocks 👍 Thank you so much for sharing 👏👏🇬🇧
Thanks for the tutorial - breaking down the blocks in pieces and parts. showing the patterns are easier than they look. Bet Nebula would be stunning in red, white and blue!
These new patterns look challenging but your breaking down the block certainly helps! Bold colors are not my color way but these are very pretty. Can’t wait to see these patterns in different fabrics!!!
Fran, thank you. Thank you, thank you. I've been down ill for 3 years, but I'm getting better and I can't wait to get this plus some of your other patterns to get quilting. 2024 is going to be a guilty year.
I wonder on Starstruck if you swItched the #1 and # 2 fabric how it would look. I'm thinking the # 1 would be the center of the star. Love these patterns
Hello Fran , great display of quilts and fabric, and design book. You explained everything very well, which would be a big help in putting any of these blocks together. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you for this video I very much enjoy watching all of the videos you do.
I can count on one hand the number of patterns I have bought since I declutterred and purged a lot of my sewing room years ago. However Fran; your new Go Bold patterns are really tempting me. I love them! Great explanation also. Thank you.
So many great new patterns. I love them all but Gemstone is a favorite. I intend to make one for my granddaughter. She collects gem stones. Thanks for sharing and sharing tips for making them with us.
Unfair! I just saw this video, went to order the kits ALL GONE! Fran! You're killing me!!! I love black in a quilt and the bold colors are so beautiful, yet they are gone...I can't take it...
What a great group of quilt patterns, Fran! So colorful and full of pizzazz! Can you tell me if you have enough fabric in your 3 yard kits to make the half square triangles using triangle paper (Triangles on a Roll)? Your patterns just keep getting better and better!
You may need to purchase a little extra fabric if you chose to use triangle paper. Check out our end of bolts and yardage on our fabric tab at fabriccafe.com.
Fran, when you do pieces and parts and the block fabric is white and place it on white paper we lose the shape of the white because it blends in...so maybe try to put white fabric on black to have the shape show..but everything looks great and all quilts are beautiful.
I used one yard of a white texture in the #2 position. I then used two different fat quarter bundles I purchased years ago from Cherrywood Fabrics. I pulled approximately 17 different fat quarters from the two bundles all in varying jewel tones, from dark blues and greens to bright oranges and yellows. It turned out great!
I am from Australia and I have just found you on RU-vid, how can I get your pattern books please. Also when you say a 3 yard quilt is it for each piece or all the quilt top
So glad you found us! You can check with any retailer in your area to see if they carry the books. Or, you can get a downloadable version from out web store, fabriccafe.com. the whole quilt top can be made with 3, one yard cuts for a lap-size. The books give you enlargement instructions, too. Six yards make a twin and 12 yards make a QK.
Hi Juanita! You can visit www.fabriccafe.com and look at the fabric kits we have available, or you can give us a call at 866-866-0998 and Stephanie would be glad to help you place an order 🥰 Our stock on some of these kits are fairly limited, so act fast!
