Everytime i watched THE NANNY, either on cable television or my beautiful collector's edition dvd boxed set, at the end of the OPENING INTRO, which contains the iconic theme song from the show, THE NANNY NAMED FRAN, i would go directly into my fantastic nasal - voiced impersonation of my FRANNY, by simply saying her famous quote " OH MY GOD, MISTAH SHEFFIELD !! ''

'' ( SEASON -4, EPISODE -8 ) broadcasted on November 13, 1996. This was the tear - filled episode, where millions of adoring viewers warmly opened their hearts, and loving affections to our sweet, angelic, FRANNY for the very first time, having been on the air in just 3 short years, since November ' 1993.

Come to think of it, MAXY and FRANNY remind me very much of THEODORE J. MOONEY and LUCILLE CARMICHAEL. The dynamic comedy duo that created constant laughter and plenty of havoc, on several episodes of the iconic sitcoms : THE LUCY SHOW and HERE' S LUCY. Mr. Mooney was brilliantly portrayed by legendary star actor and comedian, the late GALE GORDON.
