Tbf, idk what the hell Vegas was on about with Brady and the Bucs, they finished with a shockingly good record for a team led by Jameis Winston that threw away wins on the regular while boasting an incredible defense. They were like the most "just a QB away" team of all time

I think last season really showed how important the overall strength of a team is in this game. It was always true, but I guess maybe people just need reminders from time to time.

It’ll certainly interesting to see how these players adapt to their new situations.

As a jets fan I can’t contain my excitement to have my favorite QB of all time leading my time. I just hope things go well and lead to a playoff run. We’ll see if it actually happens tho, i think Carr will do well on a new team that isn’t the mess the raiders are.

Derek Carr is a very good QB that always was in terrible situations, with the Raiders D being awful for years on end and his number 1 receiver changing every year. He will never reach the potential he had before his injury (when he was the favorite to win MVP in Vegas, something people tend to forget) but I’m excited to see him get a chance. I don’t think people that slander him like in this comment section have really watched the Raiders play outside of highlights, cause even in Primetime he is more often good than bad.

Watching a different team each year, I watched the Raiders in 2021 and they were offensively brilliant under Carr. He was right there in every game's final moments, even when the last 10 seconds wouldn't go his way.

Big thing to consider, Rodgers just took a 35 million dollar pay cut so the team could get some more talent in there. If they invest that into the O-line the team might get just that much more dangerous

I really hope Darnold turns his career around. Loved watching him play at USC. It’s unfortunate that he didn’t get the proper coaching he needed to strengthen some of his weaknesses. Could’ve been a great QB. So many USC QB talent wasted over the years

I think the saints and jets both have good shots at winning a playoff game and if they get lucky maybe one of them will make a deep playoff run.

Well, that headline about the Jets offensive line was sure foreshadowing for Rodgers. If he doesn't come back from the achilles injury, it'll almost be as if he was a fever dream of Jets fans. And two weeks into the season, Mayfield is looking pretty good....but that's just two weeks. Hope the best for him the rest of the year, of course.

Honestly, I'm not really very hopeful about the Saints this year, even with Carr. It's not even anything to do with him - I think he's a solid QB and probably one of the best options available to the Saints in their situation. My issue is coaching - I think the Saints have already made their biggest mistake of the year by not firing Dennis Allen and Pete Carmichael. There was no excuse for how utterly dull and lifeless the offense looked. While the QB room still dealt with some injuries, they were healthier than they were in 2021, and even when Jameis Winston was healthy, any semblance of the progress he made in '21 before his injury was just totally gone. No one was expecting Allen to replicate Payton's offensive wizardry, but they had plenty of personnel continuity (including an OC that had worked with Payton for 15 years), and were playing in the weakest division in the NFL. Had they been able to put together something, *anything* that could at least halfway resemble a functioning offense at a distance, they could've taken the division title with ease. Sure, the QB room wasn't inspiring, but between Chris Olave, Alvin Kamara, Taysom Hill, and a decent offensive line, that offense should've been able to do SOMETHING.

This is the best Derrick Carr has been on since he’s been in the league there’s not much he has to do bt get the ball in the right persons hands now I say tht bc I’m a Saints fan a die hard fan at tht we have some of the best offensive players in todays game and a top 5 defense I’m excited to have him and he seems excited to be there I look forward to us taking back out division winning 12 games and going to the playoffs and seeing what can happen from there

Mayfield got the Browns to a playoff game and Brady had unconditional help from the refs. Carr, You will finally see that he isn't that much of an upgrade. Arron Rodgers. I don't know what is more overly hyped and full of it. The Jets or the Cowboys getting to much less winning the next Super Bowl.

Darnold is terrified of the field. You can see he enjoys throwing and hanging with the boys. But once pads and eyes are on, or questions about actions can occur, dude WILTS.

I absolutely love Darnold. I'm a Jets fan, and I realize he has NEVER had the talent around him to amount to anything really. That is, until now. He has a real chance to shine, especially with the uncertainty of Purdy and Lance. If he has to start a few games, and he can't get anything going, than he doesn't have a place in this league. But, he was the #3 overall pick for a reason. The kid has to have something in the tank. Also, another Jets Ex just had a career year in his 10th year, so who the hell knows?
