A fighter who can break wrestling and jiu-jitsu with brute force is virtually invincible in MMA. It was a monster in himself that Ngannou held up so that his knee did not bend with just his leg strength when the heel hook grip was completed.

Man the dbz style explosion animation you used for that helicopter slam spot was genius. I was watching the fight live and thought " that was big!" Then when I saw the animation, you nailed how it felt perfectly. Also the "helicopter, helicopter!" Bit just worked so good! Watching it live was like " here we go. Gane bought a ticket and now here's the ride!" You came up with a bit that illustrates that idea/ premise beautifully. Good job.
I just got a new pair of Razer gaming headphones. When Francis executed that goddamn WWE Power Slam, I thought the fucking left speaker blew in my headphone. I ripped the headphones off and looked at them and shook them and missed the next like 5 seconds of the fight. I scrubbed the video back and after the slam again I said "Jesus Fucking Christ it actually sounded like that..."

Dana hyped Francis more than anybody ever before when he went up against Stipe. Francis just made the mistake of asking for more than he's worth, so now that hype is gone.

Yeah I've done 3D Modeling and Rendering for decades, and animation as well. And I'm telling you it takes some time. I don't know HOW this guy gets them done so fast but he's got his workflow fucking down to a scary science. I'm not sure if he's using Blender or Maya, 3DS Max, or what, but how he gets them animated and rendered that fast...I just don't know.
Chael had a great live stream reaction after the fight last night on his channel. This wasn’t Ngannou vs Gane. This was Ngannou vs Dana White. It was clear that Dana believed he found the 1 guy outside of Jon Jones who could take the HW strap from Francis in Ciryl Gane. Gane was subsequently rushed through the ranks being given easy wins to cultivate his 10-0 resume to fast track him to the title match against Francis. Dana was putting all his eggs in Gane’s basket hoping he would get the win so he could have the leverage in contract negotiations with Francis moving forward. It clearly backfired on him in a big way, and he didn’t even bother to place the strap on Francis in the octagon after he won, nor did he even show up for the post PPV presser, which is unheard of for Dana White…. 🤣

@@nickkelly3199 an old JDS who was about to be cut, the guy Francis knocked out in 20 seconds, the perennial top 8 gatekeeper of HW (Volkov) and Derrick Lewis. Dana deliberately didn't have Gane fight top tier wrestlers (because while he has decent submissions, Gane isn't a good wrestler) and created an interim belt just to hype him even more. Gane should have fought Lewis for the the number 2 contender spot (or wait a month and have Francis fight Lewis) and Francis should have fought Stipe to finish the trilogy (or have Gane lose to Stipe because Stipe would have out-wrestled him just as bad as Francis did).

THIS Ngannou? One of the best overall heavyweights of all time. The whole time i was imagining him fighting legends if the past in their prime and kept seeing him win. Gane on the other hand, I've never seen anything like this dude, he needs wrestling work and Id love to see him champ! Amazing personality

Even when ngannou took gane down he still managed to cause issues for ngannou like he grabbed his leg and try to put it in a bar. It was either him literally losing because gane demolished him or play gane at his own game which he did by taking him down multiple times so he couldn’t have the chance to cause issues for ngannou

Francis was tired and nearly beat but he dug deep and went back to the sand mine roots for this win. Make no mistake, that wasn't wrestling or grappling that u seen, that was a man moving sand and just outworking his opponent. Add sand mine mode Francis to the list of mythical UFC characters. I never doubted Francis, but like everyone else I didn't foresee him winning this way. I love this sport. Francis is the biggest inspiration in the UFC, by far, it's amazing to see how badly the UFC has fumbled the bag on Francis. All because of ego and power games. Which is retarded because Francis isn't an ego maniac like Conor or Jones or some of these others the UFC comes up against. Francis was so humble in victory even though he could have rubbed it in everyone's face. Francis story is like no other, it really is mythical. If u don't know, Francis paddled from Africa with his bare hands across some sea to eventually get to Europe and chase his dream of being champion. He was locked up crossing borders and faced many set backs, but over came everything to arrive here. If u are against Francis then u truly are inhuman, or u just don't know enough about him
