@@agustinpodepiora5525 My personal thoughts. He is way out of his depth, and more importantly he does have the gas tank to go into unknown waters. Plus power in boxing gloves is not the same as power in mma gloves. Will have to see how his technique translates in bigger gloves. could be a medium puncher compared to what fury has faced. We shall see
There is no need to act tough when it is incredibly apparent to everyone you come in contact with that you could end them any time you wish haha. But no, I agree, he's respectful, and conducts himself as a gentleman. Something a lot of men could learn from these days.
Francis is a remarkable man. Just from what we’ve seen, he was using translators in the octagon and just in a few years he’s doing hours long interviews in English with Joe Rogan. Everyone was dunking on him when he left the UFC but he proved them all wrong. He’s a winner and an inspiration, congrats to him.
And because of the language barrier and then the slow English, people mistake that for him not being intelligent. Clearly a very smart individual too, despite everything else
more brazilian fighters should invest time as well to learn english. it makes them much more relatable. if aldo could talk english during aldo-conor it might have been a very different outcome.
You guys say everyone is humble, it's like 80% of youtube, that's all it says. What if he just has a good way of fooling people man ?. You don't know him, he could be a total psycho.
Yeh regardless of their friendship Joe is a bisness man and he keeps his friendship with Dana separate from his business. Also he never talksh trash about Dana or aim at Dana, but will at UFC

Francis is just pure class! How he stood up for himself because he knew the deal he was being offered by the UFC wasn't what he felt he deserved after all the work he had put in and money he had generated for the company, and didn't settle for anything less than what he knew he should have and walked away from a massive career being a superstar and heavyweight champ. Then he goes out taking a huge risk and it completely pays off and he got exactly what he wanted and is truly happy. I respect him so much because he really doesn't care about the money, he just wants to be treated as an equal and with respect and he just wants to fight because he loves it. He wants to challenge himself by boxing Tyson Fury and stepping into a whole new realm. And this guy literally came from nothing and he hasn't let the money or the fame change him at all, super humble, super respectful and just a really good human!
Exactly, its just bologna how Dana and them say they can’t pay these guys more… the UF. makes hundreds of millions every year if not in the billions… and try saying these guys can’t get 7 digit contracts is preposterous
@@goodcitizen-ft9bgDana doesnt care about the skill/level of fighters, he just cares about the mouth on them, the advertising possibilities, and potential big margin profits. Francis fits that theory, but Mighty Mouse is the clearest example from recent memory
@@TRIIGGAVELLI I think you should focus more on positive things, rather than trying to degrade somebody with baseless accusations. Very weird of you. What have you ever done to inspire people?
@@BongGoku You don't care that he's clearly on copious amounts of steroids in a combat sport? Btw stop needing other men to "inspire" you. Be your own inspiration. Weird.
@@TRIIGGAVELLI I dislike it of course, but throwing around claims with no evidence is just pathetic. And if Francis' story doesn't inspire you, you're probably lacking emotional skills. I don't need to be inspired to do something to be inspired by his actions.
@@BongGoku I'm experienced with fitness and steroid use. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt he's juiced up. I could care less if somebody decides to do it. But not in combat sports, certainly. He's genetically gifted no doubt but that's not all that's happening with him. It just blows my mind that everyone is ok with it. I guess because he makes ppl feel happy? Or sorry, "inspired".
I think Francis is very underrated when it comes to intelligence, He proved a lot of people wrong and he still is continuing to. He's an inspirational.
I'm an English language coach, and he is getting so much right with his language. It's a clear improvement over a few years ago. He is really working hard in this aspect. If he can apply himself so well in this aspect, which is totally separate from MMA, he can do anything
@@NorthLondon-pm6xy shut up we all know his dumb back story who cares who has he fought lately and he’s going to lose to Tyson and then jones after that what’s the point
They really should make a movie about this man. From escaping the desert in Africa to the streets of France then finding a gym ending up the ufc heavyweight champion and now here. Such a crazy and inspirational story.
Are you sure Francis escaped the desert? Not much desert in Cameroon - only a tiny sliver at northern tip that starts to get arid, but the bulk of the country and the most populated parts are smack-bang in equatorial Africa, bordering the congo. I don't remember the details of his backstory so maybe you're right, it's just that desert is basically the opposite of what I associate with Cameroon.
i have the utmost respect for this man. his story of getting here to his ability to continue growing after leaving the UFC for a honorable reason(increase fighter pay) just show how great humans can be.
Well you can, yet with cases like Mr. Ngannou’s regarding these matters it’s of the utmost importance to at least make the attempt. Hats off to this man, he’ll be a-ok either way.
More like boring these new-age Fighters demand all sorts of things but provide hardly anything how dumb of a human being does it take to go around demanding big numbers big amounts of money just because they saw someone else do it but they're not smart enough to realize how they did it pfl going to have a rude awakening after this first fight I don't mean boxing I mean pfl he's asking for more money then he draws Jesus Christ why do you think everybody passed on him and he turned all these deals down you have to lose money to get the dude's join your organization and it's not worth it
Francis Ngannou’s journey is so inspirational, from working in sand mines in Cameroon as a kid to immigrating to France, with no money, being homeless, training in MMA, becoming a star in the UFC and the Heavyweight champion, then he decided to bet on him self, left the UFC, signed with the PFL and now will be the chairman of PFL Africa as well as getting the big money fight with Tyson Fury, what a journey 👏👏👏👏👏👏
It was sickening to witness the vast majority of the MMA community tar and feather Ngannou for fighting for basic labor rights and eventually paving his own path. I'm glad he was able to make his dreams a reality. All of it is well-deserved.
Ya im sure its so terrible working for the UFC, the fastest growing sport in the world, worth billions, endless opportunity, free state of the art facilities at your disposal, fame, money etc. Id much rather do mining in Cameroon🤣
He’s a really good person I just have no interest in mma fights outside the ufc and def have no interest in this boxing mess. I don’t wish anything bad for him and I don’t think most do ( some yes). To most the move just made him irrelevant (to them)

It’s been widely known how underpaid these fighters are for the work they do. UFC is VERY profitable. The players need better pay. Why does that make you laugh? You sound like you lack knowledge that is easily accessible to you.
I can listen to Ngannou talk all day. He's built like a monster but his tone is so soothing. I did not expect this level of honesty and humility from a guy like this. 🧡

I can definitely say with confidence I’m VERY surprised how Francis was able to get it all done. I was definitely one of the people who simply didn’t think it was possible for him to not only get that kind of contract but to also get the fury fight is insane. More power to him and I’m happy for Francis if anyone’s earned this after years of people like me saying it’s impossible, it’s Francis.
I can promise you are NOT happy for Francis. You're only saying that 'cause he proved you wrong. I know you were one of dem ones who were laughing on X (Twitter) or IG saying things like "HA HA HA! Francis FUMBLED the bag! He RAN FROM Jon Jones!! HA HA HA HA!!!!" Stop the cap.
He got lucky. He gambled it all on Tyson Fury needing something to keep him busy, and in the end it paid off. Fury went for it, and now people are clapping.
i honestly think fury respects him as a fighter and probably thought he deserves more money than he got from the UFC , and knows he will have people tuning in , its a win , win , for me he has zero chance though
After witnessing the excellent performance by Francis in his fight with Tyson, I returned to watch this interview. Francis is an amazing individual: he is humble in his words and manner, but also a tremendous warrior.
Humility is visible in this man. Let's not forget that he did not want this for himself but for every MMA fighter. Unfortunately, he did not receive the backing, but he didn't give up. Eventually, it paid off, and the precedent was set. I'm sure other current and future MMA fighters will benefit from his experience. You deserve it, champ.
I like Francis, he seems great to be around.. hes well spoken, very calm and down to earth. The whose 2+ hrs of this interview was so easy on the ears. Him and Rogan are awesome together very natural at not talking over eachother or anything n really hearing what eachothers saying! Great energy, great episode!
I miss him being on RU-vid. haven't watched whole podcast since changed platforms. But not gonna pay for Spotify to listen to listen to podcasts. I love these luvr chats reordered lived video. not just listen and not see reaction or how they speak.

Even with that clarification, considering what this man’s been threw to get to where he’s at, there truly isn’t many more people that deserves everything he’s achieved, when you take his absolutely desperate circumstances as an asylum seeker/refugee into account. Considering they are literally among the most poor, vulnerable & utterly POWERLESS people on the face of the planet, makes him far more worthy of everything he’s achieved, in comparison to people who come from a comfortable middle class, or even what people from your average working class background deserve. Give the Champ’ his fair dues 4 fk sake m8.
Such a great champion. His character is so authentic and likeable. People focus on his short reign, forgetting what this guy did on the come up. Really hope we see him continuing to get the fights he wants.
His fighting improved so much through the years.. you could actually tell it was a new Ngannou like everytime. The way he adapted for that second Stipe fight. He's a very focused guy. Impossible to not like him. And he definitely dodged that Jones fight. Career move though. When it comes to career choices, sometimes saying no is more pivotal than the times you said yes. If he lost to Jones, his entire career would had taken a drastic downturn. His UFC stock would plummet, boxing opertunities would be nil... woulda been a disaster. He made the safe and correct choice.
@@ISirSmoke idk. It seems these boxers are looking for easy high paying fights. They certainly aren't interested in fighting each other. So now here comes King Kong and it's like Universal is making Monster movies again. Just keep making Gonzilla vs (enter random monster name). Well it's a mistake for his MMA career but money wise it's never a mistake. The single Fury fight is gonna make like like as much money as the rest of his career together lol
So glad to see Francis with a truly happy countenance and free of unnecessary burdens. He is truly the greatest example of pursuing dreams.... a movie and book tell8ng the true story are a must.
I do love Joe really trying to take care of Francis's knee. You can really tell he cares when he has guests that are hurting and wants to genuinely help him.
It's moving how emotionally intelligent and wise this man displays himself to be. I love it. Plus, I love how well after explaining himself and his situation, Joe really only cares about the Ngannu vs Jones fight 😂. I feel that
While Tyson vs Francis is a joke of a fight in terms of boxing I am very glad he got this fight and the massive paycheck that comes along with it god bless ❤
Not more of a joke than conor vs floyd and that sold like 4 million ppvs. This fight actually has a better chance of a ko and I think Francis has a great chance than conor did just because it's a heavy weight fight
It was easy for me to forget how Francis got over here when he stepped away from the UFC to forge his own path and a lot of people doubted him. I was quickly reminded that this man worked in a slave mine, crossed an ocean and was homeless then fought his way into being the UFC champion of the world. Who are we to ever doubt a man with that type of drive?
I concur, I think he’s a chosen man that leaves a mark anywhere he will go. We are in for a surprise, tyson is bad ass so it will be a FIGHT, I think ngannou will be a more dangerous fight for fury than usyx
well said. He came from the bottom and never gave up. Those are the most dangerous fighters and most driven. We always had food on the table and didnt have to work as a kid. Big respect for having that real human mindset. Lets all adapt that mindset to better the world. Protect and serve

@@Dwaynesk fury is a joke because he’s been ducking everyone else in the division for years now. He had to leave the uk in shame for all the abuse he’s been getting 🤣
I’ve seen a lot of comments about Ngannou’s dispute with the UFC and most miss the mark. Ngannou didn’t leave because he wanted more money. He left because Dana wouldn’t agree to let him box - his childhood dream. When trying to resign Ngannou, Dana said he offered him a contract with more money than any other HW. Ngannou also admitted that the money was surprisingly tempting, but he didn’t want to compromise on his dream. The only mystery in my mind is why Dana wouldn’t allow Ngannou to box when he already made a similar arrangement for McGregor years ago.
Probably because of what happened to McGregor once he returned from the Mayweather fight, the huge money ruined him and made him lose the drive he had to be the best in the UFC. Guess Dana didn't want another face of the company going to boxing and coming back a different fighter and potentially lose another cash cow in the coming years. Just think what McGregor could've become for UFC if he never left for the boxing match.
Ngannou got nothing to prove to anyone, where he came from and how he had to struggle to even get into MMA, he's been a winner since and deserves everything for that! True Champion!
Can send you to sleep with his power but also his calm soothing voice, should defo make some bedtime stories for kids. Such an intelligent guy too, much respect for his journey and what he has achieved so far.

say thanks to Dana "greedy" White just imagine if Francis kos Fury how Dana will feel, i mean he`s already butt hurt cause Francis didn`t accept his shit contract
Even if it was possible Stipe will never accept!! The way he treated him the last time i felt bad for Stipe. He almost missed the birth of his kid. Please leave Stipe alone, He will fight Jon Jones, that is better than fighting a beast.
You have to love this guy he knows what he wants and if he can help it he's not going to take less or be pressured into something...Smart man you need to take care of yourself because almost nobody else will especially if they see you not doing it.
To me there is 2 things here. 1. Dana said he had an ego, you didn't really here it from any one else. He may or may not have I don't know him personally 2. If he did he has got rid of it and learnt and improved. Not many people can do that in an entire lifetime
Francis is the real champ, a pure heart that knows whats right. If he was in another country growing up he would have had the chance to train boxing earlier and this is his best whats he was dealt with and he is doing absolutely amazing you are our champion always
