Franconia Ridge Loop Hike in White Mountains, New Hampshire

After traveling down the Kancagamus Highway between Lincoln and Conway, I arrive here in Franconia Ridge State Park to hike the best hike in New Hampshire - Franconia Ridge Loop. This hike is around 10 miles with just little under 4,000 feet of elevation gain. The hike can be done either clockwise or counter-clockwise.
Along the route there are many beautiful waterfalls, cascades and once at the top, breathtaking views of the area! To download the hike, check out:

Early start mate but so worth it! Those layers of mountains are just 😍😍😍 why is it always the case that there's another summit to tempt us 😂 weather looked perfect too!

The weather when a friend of mine visited was completely covered in clouds. I can count my lucky stars because even though I missed the fall colors, it was beautiful!

I will add this trail to my bucket list for when I visit my New Hampshire family!! Maybe I will break up the Loop into several hikes so I have a reason to return. 🥾

It’s beautiful, the views from the top are incredible! You can see in all directions! It’s a challenging hike but once you get up on the ridge, it just makes sense to hike it all the way through! Next week I will put out a video that’s a lot more friendly for most people - with lots of waterfalls

@BobI-jb4rk that’s a beautiful place! It’s probably too col now but I love the Sliding Rock state park and little further north there is the West Fork trail - little bit like the Subway Cave in Zion National Park

This was the first week of October so the peak fall colors were already gone

@@LukeGeeTravels so if I got third week of October you think there won’t be as much colors and the weather may be bad ?

@mattc4266 im almost certain most of the colors will be gone, you may find some! You will find less crowds which is nice and as far as weather, that part of new Hampshire is unpredictable! Worst case, i can give you suggestions as backup plans
