I started learning to watercolor about two years ago. I have been trying to find my niche ever since then...I bought a set of Caran dAche watercolor pencils about a year ago and they have been just sitting in a drawer. I found your videos 3 days ago and have been hooked. THIS is what I have been wanting to do...I am so inspired....I live in the desert but often travel to other places just to get a dose of green but want to be able to capture the scenes and bring them home. Thank you Charles! I am 72 and really thought it was too late. It is not!!
Thanks Charles to share This pretty image tutorial ´ absolutely adorable ❤ thanks for teaching how to use pencil watercolour, it seems so magical touches adding water ´ I will definitely try this love it ❤
What a great painting. And I love your interaction with Gail. It’s so nice. I really like the way you draw your dogs. A very easy to follow technique. Thank you both for another wonderful painting and video. Love to you both and to the dogs, of course. - Dawn 🌅
It seems a child play ..so easy. But we all know that it is not😅. Looking at this process was extremely insightful experience! Thank you. It is really amazing!
Great video Charles. Very inspired to use watercolour pencils after seeing this. Can I just give a shout out to Gail as I think she does a wonderful job of filming.👍👏
Watching this inspired me to get my old watercolour pencils out. I’ve not used them for quite some years. I find it very hard to paint these days, I have Parkinson’s. I’ve have to try and use my left hand or steady my right to try and stop the tremor. But I managed a simple one of a robin taken from a photo by a friend . It didn’t turn out too bad. Pitty I can’t insert a photo of it, or if you can I don’t know how. Thanks for inspiring me I enjoyed it and loved watching you paint again.
Thanks greatly Charles for your inspirational video on watercolour pencils, I have a set and not sure how to create a painting with them leaving the correct finish. Greatly appreciate you explaining clearly your process from planning to create your impression on the paper with amazing detail depth and colours, stay safe and healthy
Relative to the pencil noise: the sound is more a function of the plywood board acting as a resonator. Change the board, change the noise. I use a cheap tempered glass cutting board that is nearly silent.
The Lyra Rembrandt Aquarelle Pencils are among the best watercolour pencils on the market and in their 72 set, the palette is amazing. Of course, when you are using any water soluble pencil, you can get away with using a 12 or 24 set and still create a wide array of colours. Absolutely love the Lyra pencils. Another amazing video Sir, love watching your videos.
Had Watercolour pencils for years, in my cabinet, unused, lol, I now see their value, for on location sketches, thank you once again Charlie, you certainly do give people inspired motivation, to try new approaches. 🙏👌👍
Hi Charlie, my favourite demo water colour pencils, question for you. My favourite and most useful colour, Charles Evans Sand is there ever going to be a chance it will be available as a pencil. Have you heard how the young lady in France is doing? Phil
I don’t regularly use watercolour pencils but, as you mentioned, they would be great for taking on holidays. On another note, I looked on your website for some Artists’ quality Cadmium Yellow, but I couldn’t see any. Is it something that you don’t stock? Thanks again.
Hello charles. I bought the book on kindle 'Quick and clever watercolour pencils. Tell me do you have online videos to match your projects? Cheers Michelle
Fantastic as always to watch, you are so amazingly talented,, and for the people who don't like hearing scratches across the paper,, tough tittie, your hear to watch n artist 😊
