dreamjob would be finding new ways to do things, optimizing etc. that would never get old. most jobs are simply for S and J types, especially those with both SJ.
That one hit deep. I have the option of accepting a “dream job” right now, but I’m pretty sure I’d be bored out of my mind no later than a week into it.
@@larsswig912 ENTJs are more about efficiency, and objectives. Directing people and being productive. ENTPs are about balancing all their knowledge out there, but also debating with others for the thrill of it, and discovering other point of view, which can only be validated in our eyes if they are very coherent and backed up by rational reasoning. Basically ENTP are more about learning everything, but not always, and putting it out chaoticly in the world. While ENTJs are more focused on some knowledge that allows them to be efficient. Their extrovertness is focused on tangibles external results and bossing teams around to get said results. I would say that we ENTPs are more extrovert intellectually that ENTJs. But depending on the subject an ENTJ might be more knowledgeable. Also, I had an ENTJ IT teacher, and I must say that I was naturally drawned to him, as I am with all NTs, and I truly admired his ability to direct large groups of people and more importantly his ability to take the most direct approach for results. We ENTPs are scatter brains, meaning we can fail to see the quicker most effective path, to focus on all the what-ifs instead. But ENTJs do the opposite they quickly choose the best course of action (usually).
As an ENTP... this is privacy violation. "i am not actually sorry because i was right, I just regret getting us into this situation" that literally happpend to me in school!!
I don’t know how ENTPs are so charming. They’re “arrogant” but it doesn’t come off as that, it comes off as confident and humorous at the same time. I also adore their childlike and carefree approach to the world, and the way they don’t “neutralize” themselves like we INFJs do to avoid someone being hurt of our words before knowing the person. But they also aren’t stupid or socially ignorant, they’re just being themselves and I think I found my “inner” child with them. ENTPs are almost like INFJ, but in private.
My girl bf if INFJ and you are also in the right sometimes and we ENTP actively learn from you. I see ourselves like hedonists. Happiness is life's goal and we've gotta have as much happiness and pleasure on each moment. But in order to solve life's problems and avoid pain we must learn as much as possible to be wise, smart and prepared. Joke everyday, learn everyday, and look for happiness everyday. So we are so onto being better that sometimes forget there is more people and we frequently see feelings like an obstacle to make good decisions. But INFJs teach us that we shouldn't fear feelings. They teach us how to manage, express and dealing with them better. In return, we teach INFJs to be ambitious and courageous. Others are more afraid of you than you of others.
^^Why I don't do well online. Perhaps ENTPs in general. Twitter and FB comments🫣😒🙈...we need our wit packaged with our charm or we just come off rude... apparently...🙄😬🙃 and then instead of discussing thought provoking art, you are debating tone and end up as the cat in front of the dinner table just hissin and wtf?!
I'm an ENTP, one day this convo happened: Me: I like you. Him: why? Me: you look good. Him: I'm far away from good looking. I am a mess. Me: yea, that could be true too. I like the way you look, but It doesn't mean that you are good looking because beauty is relative. So yes but no but yea.
Wait that s actually true if we think about it . We were born with a specific apparence that wasn t related to our taste or to the way that we think right ? I think that we have different apparences from eachh other just so we can recognise one another . So yeah talking about beauty you re right , it s relative cause nobody chose his apparences . On the other hand we can judge someone by his beliefs and morals and a little bit about his personnality cuz a person didn t really chose his personnality . You re born with an mbti and this mbti comes 50% of the time from you re genetics so yeah
@@lina5698 seems like I’m not the 50 % My mum’s an ISTJ Dad’s an INTJ M an ENTP The only part I might see smthng common is thinking high up in our cognitive function stack... 😬
@Simon so i did a research about it and it says : {Both nature and nurture can play a role in personality, although a number of large-scale twin studies suggest that there is a strong genetic component. One study, the Minnesota Study of Twins Reared Apart, studied 350 pairs of twins between 1979 and 1999. Participants included both identical and fraternal twins who were either raised together or apart. Results revealed that personalities of identical twins were similar whether they were raised in the same household or apart, suggesting that some aspects of personality are influenced by genetics. This certainly does not mean that the environment does not play a role in shaping personality. Twin studies suggest that identical twins share approximately 50% of the same traits, while fraternal twins share only about 20%. Personality traits are complex and research suggests that our traits are shaped by both inheritance and environmental factors. These two forces interact in a wide variety of ways to form our individual personalities.} Source: Google
I'm an INFJ and my boyfriend it's an ENTP... At the beginning it was hard but when you get them it's really fun... He is the opposite of everything I am and any of us understand how it works, but it works! So far..
And I ACTUALLY think he is wrong because I am not that insensitive about other people's feelings, I always cared not to hurt anybody. And no, I am not some other type, I researched it for years now.
@@lucyk2634 same here. I'm a rare emotional entp, i feel emotions so much also i know how to make people happy, great, manipulated haha. And i also don't like to mistreat people. The reason maybe this - I love people, humanity and theirs POV. If you are bad to people, your reputation will go down, and ppl will avoid you,you will no longer able to listen other people’s stories, feelings and yatta yatta Hi-5🤣
@@amvgirl1536 same sameee, clearly we are good at manipulation lol but I also use it to make ppl happy and help them. And about what you said also you will be lonely and bored if people discard you, I really like communicating and especially connecting with people.
An ENTP's weekly schedule from an ENTP Monday- trying to find the meaning of life while also making everyone around them mad with their weird theories Tuesday- this day is too cram in as much arguments as you can, and win all of them Wednesday- national be an asshole day Thursday- doing the dumbest shit in the most effective way Friday- seeing how many times you can almost die on this day Saturday- disagreeing with everything and anything Sunday- doing everything they left to do at the last minute
Are you insinuating I’m supposed to be aware of the days of the week? If so, what makes you think there’s something special about the week in terms of fundamental unit of time?
Incredible! I can’t believe you included a skit with those faces representing the pain scale. My ENTP son, when 4 years old, refused to pick one of those faces when at the doctor. He kept saying, “None of those faces look like my face”. 😂
Oh my god when i was like 13 or smt i had to see a therapist when my parents got a divorce (i was so over it) and she gave me a pain scale page but it was so stupid and included so many irrelevant faces i argued with her abt it 😭😭😭 i was like “WHY IS “HUNGRY” AN OPTION????”
I remember when I was that age, I was hanging out with this older girl and her mom, and I said something along the lines of, "You're acting stupid", to the girl. Her mom said, "Sorry, we don't say the S Word here." I then realized my mistake and said to the girl: "OK. You're acting retarded" I literally have this on video lmao
@@forgor4410 that sounds so much like my ENTP son. I have countless stories of him making his teachers mad by asking really intelligent, logical questions and pointing out hypocrisies. I personally love and support his sharp and curious mind.
@@edileox7082 "hehe I need to tell everyone I don't think they should be using certain words" Okidokes, of course people should be able to make claim on a whole portion of languages that seems reasonable.
Y'know as an ENTP, I could never speak out the thoughts that run in the similar vein as the ones in the skits but dammit I'm tempted to spit it all out. Every. Single. Time.
@@MsWill813 I find the total opposite. When i was younger, as a teenager, I'm very much ENTP, but as i grow older, I become more and more introverted and spit out my thoughts less.
Finished college by only selecting courses with no mandatory attendance requirement. Not because I hate routine (I do), or because I lack consistency (I do) but because I found the insistence on my presence to be arbitrary and dictatorial - I have principles.
I'm in INFJ and I came to this video just to fall in love. Because man, I love them SO much. Edit: So....... turns out I'm an ENTP myself lol but I'm not taking that back! Cheers
@@rosemarygilmore19 exactly, we are a bit like hulk, if you gross our borders we are even able to kill someone. Like Clamentine for the Walking dead games. If our anger get's the best of us we tend to insult your most hurtfull points. My boyfriend is an ENTP, I highly recomend them
I'm an INTP but this is totally me.. the part of trying to get multiple majors at once bcs of the challenge and dropping out later because it's too much work actually happened lol also the part of taking the test multiple times answer "truthfully whatever the truth is", by the way I took it again yesterday and I actually got ENTP haha
Check the cognitive side of the types and not the stereotypes or the meaning of each letter, this is a common mistake on most people. I myself thought I'm an INTP and relates to most of its stereotypes but when I've come to learn more of the cognitive functions I've come to realize I'm an ENTP
@@jin6089 i understand your point, it makes much sense mistyping INTPs and ENTPs since they share the same cognitive functions, only varying the order of the stack. For me at least analysing the functions itself doesn’t help much to be honest, I feel like both of them could fit well, but I’m pretty sure I am more of an INTP by analysing the characteristics of the type both in the grip of the inferior function as well as Ti-Si loop... but still in general I have way too much fun watching the stereotypes and fitting myself and people I know in them lol
@@callmedelirium yes and no. Relating to each other is very common but you shouldn’t really be mistyping yourself if you go by the cognitive functions. I’m in ENTP 99.9% of times with a cat and hates people but I’m just not gonna be an INTP because of that. They will always be like a cousin or brethren, but because we have the same cognitive functions in different orders but if you do look at your life and your development you will see the order in the right way. I’m not sure about you. Either way to be honest. I took this test since I was 14 years old and just like the first skit I always try to second-guess it but I know truly, I am ENTP, it’s very stable. And I will always feel halfway there for INTP as well. I don’t know if you are really an ENTPbut We are the most introverted extrovert after all.
Enrolled at a uni, took a whole lot of subjects, saw the amount of homework, decided to drop out, took a gap year, thought about stealing something to spend the gap year in prison (food, bed and showers provided).
"I haven't agreed with a single thing you've said all night... I kinda like that 👀👀" And the 'I don't think you came to hear my thoughts, I think you came to here me say you're right, but here's the way it is~~' ones.
I've literally done or argued some variation of almost half of the sketches...depending on how you define it... I was also notorious with arguing with teachers and may or may not have taken over the class or been told on more than one occasion to give the other students a chance to make arguments. I complained the teachers were censoring my freedom of speech. Besides, there was no need for preprogrammed students to participate because I was making their arguments for them and dismantling them as I shared. Most had limited developed original thought anyway. I've also yelled at my boss a couple weeks into a new job for being an idiot and his passive aggressive threats and scare tactics really made me a bit reactive. I let him know sharply and assertively why exactly his expectation was irrational and unreasonable. I apologized because that is the social norm expectation and I pretended to feel bad...I didn't actually feel bad. I was actually proud. Ironically, after chewing him out, some of the issues magically got solved within the hour. I was right and he was wrong.
the one thing ive noticed all entps do is apologizing without actually feeling any slightest bit of remorse. can't remember the last time i genuinely felt bad about something i did.
i still feel about when i was in 4th grade i took over at least 3 social studies class periods and became the teacher and because the teacher was so timid and didn't say shit but i knew she didn't want me to, does that make me evil? no i wouln't say that but then again i do find pleasure is the destruction of people and find it hard to empathize
@@katherinebell8176 im always curious who im because im too extrovert for INTP and too introvert for ENTP .. so I define myself as XNTP .But I heard that ENTPs can be extroverts and introverts at the same time , so ya it's pretty similar
I think it's best to study more on the cognitive side of the types rather than classifying yourself with the meanings of each letters and its stereotypes. I myself thought I'm an INTP because I'm introverted on some ways, but I've always thought I'm not that introverted nor too extroverted to be an ENTP so it begs the question of being mistyped. Then I've come to realize being extroverted or introverted isn't really the case here but rather which of the cognitive functions is your dominant and which is not. I still share the same problems most INTP has than most ENTPs and I feel more relatable with most INTP stereotypes but in the end of the day, I'm still an ENTP-T.
@@jin6089 I guess I should have said I got INTP on the 16 personalities test but that result might not accurately portray my actual type due to how I relate more to the scenarios in the Frank James skits but that’s basically just saying the same thing in a more convoluted way
This nails my son. We were spending Thanksgiving with my 70 year old Aunt. My son and I were having a conversation about a hypothetical situation with my Aunt which turned into a heated argument. In exasperation my Aunt loudly said, "Bullsh*t!." Which shocked even my son. It took 35 years but he finally got a a cuss word out of her.
Literally me when I was in Barnes & Noble last month 🤣🤣🤣 I don’t want it to go out of business like some Books a Million’s I know of, but it’s cheaper on Amazon 🤷🏾♀️😂
@aldik_dj There’s a reason the federal government picks ULA over SpaceX for some launches, even though ULA charges way more - they know that a SpaceX monopoly would mean even higher costs.
The fact that I watched this whole vid without getting bored even if I'm not one just goes to show these are one of my fav types. (Coming from an INTP)
ha two sche.... however I've yet still concluded with the P type cuz I aligin with other types and disagree and agree with tis type aswell .... ps I've made sooo many grammatical errors
Ok I’m an infj who is also pretty good a debating hahahah. I love the directness and sarcasm of this. Now I can see , if you don’t take ENTP TOO seriously, how they would be a perfect match hahaha.
INTP. Actually SUCCESSFULLY argued my way into a driver's license at the DMV when I was short one document. I was 17. My mom was in awe. Not sure if I could replicate that success 15 years later...
I literally did the bookstore thing the other day. I went to a bookstore to see the total price of the books I wanted and then put them all into amazon and had an internal struggle over which to buy
Not purchasing something 30% higher...will lead to the end of brick and mortar ---- that's a conversation in my head on a regular basis! INFJ here:) My son's an ENTP and this is so him:)! I adore ENTPs - they have the most off-the-wall, random responses -- no one can make me laugh harder than an ENTP. I can be having the most serious, saddest moment, and they'll say something so ridiculous and insane - that I'll either bust out laughing or pretend not to react;) It's impossible not to love them or even stay mad at them.
ENTP, I took the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator within the U.S. Military. The exam was a 3 day testing exam, Exam to indicate a person's personality and if the individual mentally and emotionally capable of performing under extreme stress, isolation and duress environments. The testing/exam was within the Special Operations/Military Intelligence Community, for a slot in a 6 man deep penetration Ranger/Airborne LRRP/LRSD Team. The 3 day exam was interesting to say the least and yes, I made the Teams.
I am curious. Were the othered all entp as well? Cause if I have to be a special team to survive I am hoping for others similar to me or we might all die! Lol. No just kidding. Mostly!😂 we might need someone who can actually finish all the stuff the rest of us brilliantly start. Not sure what that type is yet though. Someone else will probably help in the comments.
ISFJ here (or ISFP? I get both?) and ENTP's are my absolute favorite type. I love how they can see all perspectives and are constantly poking at/joking about everything. It's hilarious and thought-provoking at the same time. I need a friend or boyfriend like this pls. 😂
I did a child appropriate personality test with my daughter.. to understand her better... even at 5yrs old this is scary accurate. Will argue about anything 😂 but very smart, didn't ever have many tantrums but the stubborn arguments god help me.
1:50 I contacted a quantum physicist at MIT detailing exactly why he was incorrect in a statement he made like a year ago. I did it initially as a joke (because he’s obviously correct as he’s been studying that for 30 years) but the more I look into it the more I’m confident that I am actually somehow correct. I don’t expect a response but I hope I do get one
Man. That is the bomb. I would so love it if you actually get a response and reply back what it was. I hope for us entp’s sake. You are right! That would be so cool.
“It’s interesting to think of the hundreds if not thousands of strangers who have slept in this bed before me, making me feel strangely and uncomfortably connected” 🤣🤣
Last summer when ı went to the hotel trip with my bestie this is the similar sentence that I said and I just found out couple days ago that I’m ENTP. Shocking 😂 I think they got us Entp’s 😮
That first one honestly scared me with how accurate it was, just earlier today I was retaking the Myers Briggs test honestly just with different interpretations of the questions, as an ENTP the only result I consistently got was xxtx
i was having trouble whether I'm an INTP or an ENTP but this literally just confirms my identity in a whole new way. At least something in this painful and absurd thing called life actually did something right.
Tbh same. I got a 50-50 on the extravert-introvert thing, but like I carry all the traits of ENTP and INTP and both of them are relatable af. I have no idea if I'm an INTP or ENTP, but it gave me INTP, which is weird. It's like I have no idea at this point, therefore exceptions happen. Another thing is that the accuracy of this test in exceptions like 50-50 is doubtable, and should be taken into the account. Like, I'm not an introvert, I know how to socialize and have a charm, but I just hate being with people, which is...which sometimes make me a social wreck because it's like I have no idea how to deal with "human" stuff... At this point, Idk lmao
Ahahahahh I laughed so much! I did the test at least 6 times changing slighty some questions to prove the test is stupid… but EVERY single time I got ENTP no matter what!
Love this! BUT, I am an INFJ and I think I am like these people! Maybe I'm an introverted version of this? I've discovered that my true inner self is ENTP! I could never give him voice, however.
One methodical issue with all the "best personality type for xx [insert job]" articles that annoys the hell out of me is that they usually just survey a bunch of people in that particular profession and then infer that whichever personality type does that job the most is probably also the best at it. Apparently only 9.7% of lawyers are ENTPs which supposedly means there is no special relationship between the two. Well let me tell you something, 90% of lawyers suck anyway and ENTPs are brilliant by default so the top 10% of lawyers have got to all be ENTPs. #changemymind
After watching this I suddenly realized that my proudest moment in high school is when I won an argument with a teacher about why life was inherently bad, even though he was writing a book saying the opposite and had tons of research to back him up
INFP mom w/ an ENTP adult daughter who’s satire, sarcasms & irony grew on her - I love, admire & appreciate it 😂🤣 The grasshopper became the sensei 🦗🧘🏻♀️ Those who think they say crazy ish.. I came here after taking the test 3 times, because I was convinced the result could be easily corrupted by whatever mood I was in. I got ENTP every time and no im not happy to be put in a box even though it was ME who was curious what box I could theoretical placed in anyway. Well...hi, everyone
I think I love you. I've have thought all of these at at least one point. It's SO nice to know that I'm not a defective version of optimal human development.
