May you consider a "12 rules/advice/suggestions for life , ESFP" , I'm an ENFJ friend and I'm(and others are..) struggling.🍃💜🤙🏾👌🏾 Thank you so, SO much if you decide to do this. Ofc, this is your channel, and we respect your decision if you don't do this, just saying it would do a potato good if you even put out 2 pieces of advice and called it "2 suggestions for life, ESFP" Ps. Thanks for reading this far🙏🏾

Hello Sir Nathan, I LOVE YOUR VIDS, they have really helped me _a lot._ As an ENFJ though, I'm having difficulty interacting with my ESFP friends in a more constructive, future focused(Ni) way. I don't wanna hinder their SE TE loop, they literally designed like that for a reason, and I value it for them, especially since they don't procrastinate like I do👌🏾😂, it's just I wanna give them food for thought as to how they can _maybe_ direct for themselves all of this tactile progress and action and with my Ti explanatory nature, it can blow over their heads with their Fi bias and Ti polar. They are my friends tho, and I wanna at least give them a couple of ideas that can be both genuine to them as helpful for their future, either it's wisdom on just doing things, or how the world progresses or sumn else that u think could help them in a "12 rules/advice/suggestions for life, ESFP" Thanks 👌🏾👑🤙🏾

I as an ENTP would like to hear some interviews with old ENTPs. Who are at least 70 to 80 years old. I would have so many questions for them. Such as: have you actually changed entire family because you got bored? How many U turns did you took in your career and so on. Big decisions.

1. Detachment is a double edged sword. 2. Lose the battle to win the war. 3. Sweat the small stuff. 4. Embrace the hare. 5. Invest in and see the true value of relationships. 6. Sometimes you need to force the direction. 7. Being overwhelmed is better than being bored. 8. You can't make an omelet without breaking a few rules. 9. Look for what others miss. 10. When you have an idea, try it before you tell people about it. 11. Outsource and collaborate. 12. Stay in your comfort zone sometimes.

This video made me smile. I've figured out most of these rules by myself. And you were right actually, it just confirms what I have learned throughout my life. But there's one thing, even though I agree on most of these rules. I have to disagree on number 7, that being overwhelmed is better than being bored. Being bored has many advantages than it might seem. Boredom has some kind of meditative aspect on it, which I believe helps control the impulsivity nature of the ENTP. It helps you to think clearly, make decisions worthy of your effort and time than impulsively take everything that feels good. Being bored makes your mind wander which is making you the most imaginative than ever. So yes, I believe that being bored is better than being overwhelmed.

To certain degree, I agree; but you also have the risk of falling into apathy (in a "what is the point of trying/starting anything I'll never finish/master?" sort of way). So I think it's a balance of thinking longer but also initiating some things. Being pickier about your decisions, so to speak.

@@SangreFriasBack I don't know how old you are or what generation you come from. But I live in a generation when media consumption drives everyone crazy, everyone is distracted. Being alone in my room for a while was the best thing that ever happened. I had time to reflect and contemplate on what I actually want to do in my life, it was the moment when I realized most of these said rules on my own. Don't get me wrong, boredom sucks. I would rather have my dopamine hit every single moment of my life. The truth is I'd rather go out with my friends every night. But I choose to be alone in my room, work on my projects, create something made from my own vision. I hate the process of doing it, it's repetitive, it's tedious. But I still want to do it, because it's fulfilling and fulfilling isn't equal to enjoyable.
@cameroncorona9282
@cameroncorona9282 2 года назад
I knew there was something wrong with that rule. It felt off for me too. But, although I agree with what you said, as I'm typing this, I realized that this comment that u posted is the reason WHY we need rule #7. We are too good at being optimistic about things, I mean like... WAYYYY too good. I notice myself finding all the "positive facts" about the actions im taking and use it as an excuse to always do less or to put less effort. And you saying that we should pick boredome over the other because of its the meditative aspect to it is just our entp brains making excuses for us to be lazy. and we all know that if we were bored, we wont even use that time to "meditate" (I know we do in some phases) bit well prolly just stimulate our brains with entertainment bullshit

Number 9 sounds like my entp friend the other day being very skeptical towards like ALL of internet and trustworthy witnesses saying Johnny Depp never did anything to Amber Heard. I was a bit taken aback at first, but then I enjoyed the discussion. Ne and Ti are my worst functions so it was interesting hearing her out and then testing her with the facts I've seen from the court room. She is very good at not getting carried away by charismatic speakers or general opinions. Definitely makes me ponder about the grey stuff much more.

Im an ENTP and think Johnny Depp is an abusive alcoholic and a terrible person. Im not saying Amber is a good person but I do think she was mistreated in that relationship and should have left instead of stooping to his level. Depp has always had a shitty rep, his choice of friends is also very suspect at best. I generally never agree with conventional opinion on anything, not because I want to be contrarian, but I actually find group-think to be reactionary, often manipulated, and generally on the wrong side 9/10 times.

Very interesting selection of ideas. I see them in generally three subset, nurture and enjoy relationships, embrace the brilliance of the ENTP, and overcome your weaknesses. We are all individuals and everyone will have their own "pressure points" that resonate for them. I do agree that growing relationships is vital, having a wide circle of acquaintances is good but really finding that small circle of special people during life has a far greater value to me atleast than what my personality type would suggest. Sometimes you need someone to grab you by the collar and explain that "you are not a character but are instead a cunt". Relationships help you paper over your weaknesses, developing good friendships at work is vital, most jobs are never advertised, so you might want to think twice about finishing off your next meeting with a verbal blaze of glory. Rather than beating down ideas, allow yourself to be inspired. And get an understanding accountant. The final part is embracing the brilliance of the ENTP, but when you let yourself rip try to ground yourself. Acknowledge an idea is off the wall or as this video suggests do some preliminary work.

Question/Game for ya, Nate: Let's say you have 2 really good Friends. Both of whom, we will refer to as: Person A. You've noticed a consistent pattern with both of them. You keep finding yourself having observed 2 separate arguments taking place (at totally different times, 2 completely separate occasions). In group 1, person A, is arguing with person B. Person A, is (clearly) arguing to *BE* Right (i.e. to "win" the argument... maybe they wanna learn something-to implement or not... maybe they wanna call someone on their hypocrisy... maybe just cuz: "f@ck you" lol). In group 2, person A, is clearly (for the astute) "arguing" to get to what *IS* Right/Actually True/Real... And, person A (in the group 2 example), is visibly upset, because person B thinks/claims person A (in this group 2 example) is just "being antagonistic/playing devils advocate" (but, they actually for_real are_NOT). Would you say that both (A's) are ENTP? Or, do(es) this/these example(s) demonstrate 2 different types (in your estimation)? If different, which example (A), is which type? Thanks in advance 😎.

Number 2 I do not have a problem with that. In fact I would say it is the opposite, due to my detachment mentioned in the first point. I really never have cared about winning any argument, nor convincing anyone. I do enjoy sharing my thoughts tho. But the purpose of arguing or debating has NEVER been about the other person. They can believe whatever they want, I really do not care. And arguing when they do not like it, yields no result other than antagonizing people, and that achieves nothing. So rather, I go to debates to learn and hone my skills, I only care about me. If the other person gets mad, is very close minded and or doesn't have much to offer to the discussion I simply leave. I simply do not see any reason to debate with anyone that won't feed my Ne Ti. And with Fe, I do not like making people mad, so i see no point in arguing unless the person likes it.

I am very unlikely to follow a rule. However, some of the rules you are giving I have definitely already learned.Aside from that, though, principles are not rules. Principles are facts or that which lend to a better forming of reality, and which are malleable to some exent, For instance, "Work good toward all, especialy those in fthe failth" leaves a lot of room for interpretation of what is work, what is good and in what way it would be especially to those in the faith. And, that's something I can live with, examine as needed and therefore be absolutely sure to consider at odd moment,s including some when there is a need for it to be employed most ardently.

This ENTP is mad that you only gave me 12 rules, lol. You literally gave us a rule about breaking rules, and you didn't even break your own! I was so hopeful, and now I'm disappointed. lol

There is only 1 reason why the hell an ENTP would watch a video about rules. of course to bend or break them easier and get away with, knowledge is key! ENTP in a nutshell.

It is good to try new things. Sometimes, you just have to let go. Forge your own path. Don't be afraid to make a mess. Think outside of the box. Don't worry about how others feel.

I think the position of an ENTP with intersecting marginalised positions acts and thinks quite differently, but interesting nonetheless.

#3... (I think I'm being watched😳) #6 you just named the entire reason that I never finished open world video games all the way. I never want to take one direction in case another one is better for the end game. 😅 #7 I spin plates for a living now. Honestly, you are 100% correct. I'd rather have a day where I do 3 days worth of work and feel like a badass then have nothing to do. 😁 #8 😂🤣👌Facts
