@@MinMin-oe5od This is the great thing about RU-vid, we can learn these silly little things about each other's cultures. Every time one person learns something about another person, the world becomes a richer place. :)
The ISTJ has the same cognitive functions with INFP, although different priorities. INFJ and ISTJ have zero similar cognitive functions. If INFJ took this test, the possible mistyping would be INTJ or ENFJ. Or even ENTJ. They all share some similar functions. Ironically, this test shows FJ is probably not an INFJ. And not even because he didn't get INFJ.
I am so INFJ that I always doubt if I am INFJ because I can totally see through tests and manipulate results. I still try to answer as honestly as possible but still doubt myself if I'm truly honest.
What's funny is that I've been down the rabbit hole of autism as of late (doing research for my own evaluation/diagnosis), and I was like "These sound oddly like they're talking about autism...nah, maybe it's just me- NOPE, I KNEW IT" 😂🤣
@@TheCloverAffiliate12 Autistic INFJ here (I was diagnosed at age 4)...I didn't know anything about the types or what they meant until the people around me told me I should and that I might find it interesting so I did finally take the test (actually 5 different ones)...I've got a feeling that the 16 personalities is gonna become another special interest of mine because I'm really getting into it. Like I said, I took like 5 different tests, answered honestly and got INFJ on all 5 of them. It doesn't really matter to me which type I am personally, I just find the whole personality thing interesting as a whole.
@@TheCloverAffiliate12 lol I always wonder where my answers come from, my autism or because I'm an INFP because both are so similar. 😆 I'd say Frank is *near* the spectrum. 😋
I actually enjoy “John’s personality test,” online for some reason, which has been shown to me to be more accurate. Based on my mood of the time of day I take it, I either get INTP or ENTP.
ENFP here. Maybe it's from having kids, and old beater cars...planned spontaneity's a thing. Like, carry jumper cables, oil, blanket, sweatshirt and a gallon of water in the trunk. Also granola bars if u have a car full of kids. If that doesn't work, u can always hitch hike your way out. Sounds like a plan! Also how it usually seemed to happen.
@@aanjafreedom7781 most of my friends are INFJ! They're so cool and chill to me and are some of the only people who say yes when I bring up some strange things I've mulled over and ask if they've ever thought of it! It's very comforting, I feel very connected to them.
@@riecarrie9035 I love that because I feel connected to my INFJ friends a lot, we can all talk for hours and get so deep into the meaning of life hahaha! And when they pick me to hang out with I feel honored! 😆 because they're cool to me. I really like how different they are. It feels like we are the same level of weird just in different ways.
Why, in the first place would anybody think that you are not an infj?? Isn't it incredibly offensive when people think you can't be an infj when you have, dare I say... A personality?? It's like people don't believe that an introvert can be silly as hell..? Hold my beer..
Apart from garbage, of which not just "most" is garbage, but the whole thing. I'm not sure if that sentence is properly written in English, because I'm not sure if I can phrase it correctly even in my native tongue.
@@alexeysaranchev6118 yea native English speakers don’t say everything properly, we mix up words with similar meaning. It can be resaid as the word “majority” instead of the word most
My son is an INFJ. He learned to read and write at 3/4 years old and he would correct his teachers for misspelling on his first elementary year. He was always preoccupied with other kids well-being but because he would lose interest in school the teachers convinced me into bringing him to the school psychologist. Since then they started to deal with him like if he was autistic. It was a struggle for the family but we never give up. And it turns out that the school staff was nothing but ignorant. He is the most intelligent and loving human being I know and I'm very grateful for teaching him to stand up for him self, not allowing others to bully him just because of the way he perceived the world. He was always more mature than the adults surrounding him. He's a great fan of you!)
@@catiadutra8117 I used to have to correct the teachers' spelling and maths mistakes (though I wasn't very assertive about it and tried so hard to be diplomatic that it ended up making me look confused to them). And I remember in grade six the teachers coming to me to find out about punctuation they were unsure of. (INTP)
I'm INFJ, and I always like to think of myself as spontaneous, but I'll admit that if someone texts me out of the blue, to say they're coming over for a spontaneous visit and "thought we could do something", my immediate and slightly panicked reaction is to turn off all the lights, hide away from the windows and pretend I'm not home. I really don't like being surprised when I'm doing nothing.
After I found out I was INFJ I really felt free of the bondage of being displaced society. I didn't fit in because I don't fit in. After that I behaved differently, not caring to 'fit in.' I really became someone I liked and exceled because I didn't think I was displaced in my environment. I really really grew as a person. After that I did not classify as INFJ when I redid the test. But I am as INFJ as ever, but I know who I am now.
This is soo true! I can totally relate. After I found out I was an INFJ I felt a sense of relief and acceptance of myself and all my masks fell apart lol
I'm an ISTP but I relate. Thought there was something wrong with me. Now not only do I see I'm ok, I can see why others think so differently. We're all in this bag of mixed nuts together. 😂
Not an INFJ, but I completely relate to this. I feel like I don't fit in completely with sensors or intuitives. Even though I'm an ISFJ, I'm not grounded the way most sensors are and I'm not as deeply investigated in abstract topics and ideas the way intuitives are. Had the hardest time figuring out my type and accepting who I really am and I actually got mistyped as INFP and INFJ for awhile. I studied more about the cognitive functions and actually just started letting go and being honest with the way I answer test questions. Tests can only accurately measure your results based on how honestly you answer and interpret questions. And I'm not discrediting you or anyone else who is actually an INFJ cause there are a lot of intuitives online, but I think there are also some other people who want to believe they are more smarter and more intuitive than they actually are thus the intuitive bias and why everyone wants to be thought of as intuitive
I got INFJ then I saw some of this guy’s videos and I started questioning if I was INFJ but now that I’ve seen this video we’ll honestly I still don’t really know.
There are so many problems with the questions in these tests. Most of them are far too vague. "Do you prefer to use logic and reason?" No, I prefer to always be unreasonable and do illogical things, duh! "Are you uncomfortable with your emotions?" Well, that depends on the emotion doesn't it? I don't think anybody is uncomfortable feeling happy. A better question would be: "Do you usually understand why you feel the way you do?" That would test how strong Fi is. "Do you prefer hard data over theory?" Again really depends on the situation. All people usually like hard data and facts to some degree because they give the world structure and make it easier to understand. I like knowing the fact that if it's colder than 0 degrees C there might be ice on the road so I should take care not to slip and fall.
Pretty much every test that is multiple choice, or true false, I want to write essays for. Because the answer is always "It depends....." some questions make assumptions, multiple assumptions, and don't define terms. Here is an awkward question on a TRUE/FALSE test: Q: I am relieved that my thoughts about sex no longer bother me. T/F Well now. It assumes I think about sex, which may or may not be true. Should ask that question separately. It further assumes that the thoughts "bother" me, which again, assuming that I actually have these thoughts at all about sex, why would they bother me? Maybe I enjoy them. Then it makes a 3rd assumption that 1. I DO think about sex, 2, Those thoughts "bother" me, and 3 those thoughts No longer bother me. Hmmm, why would that be? Did the thoughts stop, or did I embrace the thoughts, were they horrible thoughts to begin with? And WTH kind of question is this anyway? What are they getting at? Shouldn't we be more concerned with people who think about sex with animals or something and are NOT bothered by it?
Totally agree. And the way they created them the formula (maths related I think someone made mention of this being how they do it) isn't that great either. Would you agree it is better - more reliable to just go and read be it online or from a recommended book the cognitive functions to figure what ones type happens to be?
Don't panic. I'm textbook INFJ. But I've also typed as INFP, INTJ and INTP. I've done at least 8 different tests to be sure I'm INFJ. I also analyse and question the shit out of everything, and can fit in with and appear as (or be mistaken for) anyone. And I find many of the MBTI test questions extremely simplified and obviously leading. I could answer 'yes, no and somewhat' to most of those questions and it would all be correct, depending on my head space and circumstances. 🗿 Love your vids, Frank! It's reassuring watching the swirling, abstract, self-torturing mind you have and knowing I'm not the only one. 😊
Idk, INFJs are stereotypically the ‘’I don’t have a soul, I’ll just be whatever you want me to be, no one notices me, so I’ll adapt to match your Personality, when I am around you’’, so following the world of Cliches, you sound pretty INFJ to me :)
I've been professionally tested more than 10 years ago and got INFJ, I've tested myself a couple of times in the last two years... same result. I just tried the same test you took... got ISTJ too. I think this test is not the best. You're the fisrt INFJ I've heard and watched and to be honest, it was like seeing my own self with a guy's face (freaky but comforting). I think you should keep the FJ status.. this site is trying to wipe out the weirdos.
Rebekah rathe online I’ll either get INFJ or INFP. I see both in me - I LOVE digging deep and can literally skip eating and drinking (FJ) but I also have a ton of little half done projects going on and can’t finish one thing when I clean (FP). I do love finishing, but it sure can take a long time because other things get my attention. Ugh!!
@@rebekahrathe9248 Interesting I only know that even those that love Myer-Briggs feel it is best to read the functions to figure ones type out not the free tests or paid myer briggs one.
which one is that test you refer to ? I would like to try it, if there is chance I can end up not being INFJ ;-)...many times do not enjoy being infj ;-), need some change . (and would be curious whether I get also ISTJ).
@Wendy French @Katarina T i would say go watch C.S. Joseph's video on RU-vid called "How Do We Use The Type Grid?". It's a very simple and fast way, and you don't have to do a questionnaire really - you're just eliminating options.
5:50 I get that questions that ask whether you like to use "logic" are basically "thinking or feeling" questions. But I feel like those questions were formed based on a misunderstanding, or even a prejudice. Just because I'm a feeler, it doesn't mean that I don't value or am incapable of using logic. The assumption that feelers don't use logic is highly insulting to their intelligence. Christ.
I found a test (maybe the Cloverleaf one ?) that asked if you admired and were envious of other people that are really ~logical~ so it spoke a bit to that "I value Thinking a lot but maybe aren't just awesome at it = I might be a Feeling type. "
It’s also offensive to thinkers because the test kind of confuses being more cerebral with being of low emotional intelligence based on how they word the questions/results. I find that the categories are too absolute, especially considering that the results don’t account for balances of type. The wording of questions also occasionally invites misinterpretation or alternate ways of looking at them, thus rendering attempts to label each type in a strict fashion futile. (lol you can probably guess what type I am)
I adore your videos, FJ, oh on so many levels 😃 But let’s stay focused here... Ahm, the main reason I love watching you is because of the way you are on camera: it is the way I am in private - WiTh MySeLf - like IN MY OWN HEAD. Hardly anyone gets to see that part of me 😕 And I love seeing a goofy creative attractive self-aware INFJ let it all hang out like this, sharing themselves with the world. It makes me feel that I, too, can be free to be myself and - really - extrovert my inner world unapologetically out there, because I can. Grateful 🙏🏻
"My fellow americans"... what if I told you I'm infact a Norwegian. Am I somewhat excluded from this video? Am I not allowed to be here? This raises so many questions for me since I do consider myself a frisky pony, but not an american.
When Frank says "my fellow Americans", he is quoting former American President Richard Nixon. Nixon would often begin his speeches with those words. So in America, when we use the phrase "my fellow Americans", it means that we're about to begin an "important" speech-- but usually in a tongue-in-cheek (teasing, non-serious) manner, as Frank is using it. So please don't take "Americans" literally.
@@josteinnevervei It's OK, I have Norse ancestry AND I'm born in America. I'm just here for the INFJ. And now FJ has cast doubt on my very identity, oh no, I feel another identity crisis coming on. And no, I got an advertisement for some university in Japan. What's up with that? I'm too tall to go to Japan. I wouldn't be able to find clothes.
I don’t care what type you are. Your videos are original and cheer me up. 😊 You could read a phone book and I would probably watch 😂. Like in a none creepy way of course
Yes I second this 100% lol Frank is the best, always know how to help us see how to help ourselves and encourages us to do so. To me, his videos are the best, life changing, RU-vid discovery EVER!
Our answers were identical so I started dying laughing when I realized it was a test for autism because someone told me they thought I was on the spectrum as well! Funny thing is I'm actually a special education teacher. Great video Frank:) They always make me smile!
Almost everyone who is tested for autism winds up at least, ‘on the spectrum.’ The same thing for most other social disorders. How convenient, not suspicious at all that we are diagnosed with something we are concerned about…🤔. By the way doctor, I need a bag of weed for my pain. How convenient that I suddenly have scoliosis! BTW that’s an amazing job, good for you.
People ask me if I have Aspergers because I know so much random information and love to talk about my interests, such as giving them a seminar on some aspect of history.
I’m gonna get “Most of everything is garbage” tattooed on my body to rep my favorite RU-vid channel which is this one. And also because it’s the best thing I’ve ever heard.
HAHA! I literally laughed out loud when you got to the "score my autism" button. Even funnier to me, because I've recently taken the same tests...wondering if that's what made me so "weird." 😂😂 Dude, love the Reading Rainbow shirt in your commercial. "Duty fulfiller" - you're hilarious and abzurd.
As a fellow INFJ I laughed so hard when FJ saw the result because I remember also getting ISTJ when I tried that Psych Central test before. "I'm a fraud." Haha. Damn, the Impostor Syndrome...
My usual result is INFJ, but I got INTJ one time. It was right after I spent 5 years as an Army linguist. During that phase of my life, I felt like I couldn’t be overly sensitive, due to the nature of the military culture. These 16 personalities videos have confirmed that I’m a true INFJ though.
I hate when these personality tests ask if you use logic, facts, or your head. Like who's going to say they're not logical? This is why I kept testing as INTJ when I'm an INFP.
I don't know Lara, I just don't know, he seemed plausible enough, maybe that's what ISTJ's do, they draw you in with The Beatles and beards and stuff....The Outlaw Tank James.
If would get this type of test and had Result for an ISTJ... then I would say that that website is tampered... FYI:I already take multiple accurate result(5x) on different websites... and it just gives in the end INFJ... 6x if including this type but would maybe have the ISTJ result cause most of his answers are like what would I choose in that Question... but preferebly end up maybe INTJ but I am sure I am INFJ
Great video TJ! Good to see you wrestling with the test, exactly how I take them, they are so ambiguous. I'm happy now to be untyped (tho I do have some sneaky suspicions?).
I got ISTJ on that test too: for the first time ever! The official paid test I did was back in my twenties and I got INTP. I have always identified with INTP ever since I analysed and overanalysed my P/J preference. I think I have developed my sensing skills with age as I have had to do that to survive in this world. Need to empty out the kitty litter tray! (not that I have a cat).
Thank you so much for your informative and relatable videos, they have been most helpful! I've typed as an ISFJ, INTJ, ISTJ, INFJ, and INFP over the last few years and almost concluded that I either have a multi- personality disorder or I'm one very confused individual (haha). Although the latter is still the case, after doing a lot of research on cognitive functions, I'm leaning more towards the chameleon type INFJ. Your videos are such a great tool in my journey of understanding myself and ways I can grow as a person- in turn allowing myself to do the same for others ✌🏼
Interestingly enough, the ISTJ function stack is Si-Te-Fi-Ne, which are INFJ's weakest functions if you consider all 8. Perhaps your efforts in self-improvement have rubbed off? Haha. Nonetheless, I still think you're an INFJ at your core.
I hate the feeling/thinking questions. I just alternate my answers XD but somehow I always end up with INFJ so maybe the test senses my indecisiveness lol
LOL You're hilarious! I came to gain insight into my INFJ partner but keep coming back because you're hilarious as well as informative. Thanks for the content.
Lol, I kinda waited for you to make a video about it, I'm so happy! It's funny because I re-did the MBTI test for about 45 times now?? And (additionaly reading into the MBTI stuff) I'm pretty sure that I'm definitely an INFJ. But sometimes my results were ENFP (mostly next to INFJ results), ENFJ, INFP and ESTJ...and then I thought "Huh, maybe I prefere A LOT of the cognitive functions hmm" :D But anyhow, still enjoying the shit out of your videos and really loved this video in particular! :)
I come as an INFJ always, no matter what test I do. Also I’ve listened to you since you started literally. Since just a few INFJs followed you, the very beginning and I have to admit that sometimes I’ve doubted if you are an INFJ. I wouldn’t be able to say why though. One day a long time ago I even asked you if there were different types of INFJs because of the same reason and you answered me “yes, there are different types or kinds (who knows I don’t remember your words) of each personality.” So maybe you really are one but we are all different INFJs (?) I don’t know much about the subject as you do.
