sorry for the copyright issues, i tried cutting and reuploading for about 6 hours today and had no luck. the only thing that worked was to replace the songs that were blocking the upload: - At Your Best - Comme des Garçons - Wither - Slide On Me - Sideways - Florida hope you understand. see you in 6 months for blonde
too many people disregard this album as filler in his discography. This has some of frank's best songs (Wither, Higgs, Rushes) and its an incredible experience in itself that can stand with both blonde and channel orange.
agreed, if he woulda dropped this as a complete album instead of more of a mixtape it'd be up there right next to blonde. it just feels incomplete and kind of like a throwaway mixtape but its still so gorgeous, so much potential
I predict the Blonde reaction tomorrow. Tomorrow is Blonde's 8th birthday and Endless was released a day before! Loved your video Path, always happy to see the notification that you uploaded! :)
This albums is so slept on, especialy in Frank's discogrophy. People just think it was a filler album since it was supposed to let Frank escape his label so he coud realese Blond
Fun fact: the vinyl version of this album actually finishes with Mitsubishi Sony! It’s an extended ending and I think it’s a way better way to end the album. I think the vinyl version is a way better listen. It’s mixed so it’s not so echoey and it feels a lot more lively.
The CD also has the same mix. It was remastered for the release of both. Device Control also isn't a Frank song but a Wolfgang Tillmans song for those who don't know 🙏
I know it’s a very hot take but this is my personal favorite Frank album and it’s one of my favorites of all time. It’s him firing off on all cylinders, he’s spitting on some of these songs but then some of my favorite vocal performances come from this as well, and I love how lofi the production is too, it’s one of the most astounding vibes I’ve ever caught listening to a record. Listened to this while painting the inside of my grandpas house and I can’t iterate how life changing that listen was lmao. Absolutely love this one, Wither is one of my favorite tracks he’s ever made, moves me a lot.
This is my favorite album of all time, seeing you and this album it in my notification felt like Whiplash and took me awhile to process it, I'm so glad you are finally listening to it❤️❤️
Hey just wanna throw my 2 cents in since I don’t see many creators react to this album. For me I always try to view a singer as an artist in the grander sense, meaning if they wanted to they could become elite in a lot of other fields of art. Frank always loved films I remember going through his top 100 films list and he had some pretty amazing underrated directors in there. All this being said it’s safe to say now that his favorite is prob Kubrick because of his references to him in the past. And that’s what I get after the what feels like 30 times I’ve listened to this album, it always leaves me saying now wow if Kubrick was an artist and wanted to make an album I think it would be endless.
The staircase he builds in the video is a direct copy of Romanian Sculptor’s Endless column, which itself was made to symbolize infinity. I think Frank really played with the idea of something being Endless, an artistic journey can feel endless, the project is unfinished and literally endless, the creative possibilities outside the restrictions of a label are endless and I think that’s why he climbs the staircase at the end into infinity… I’m sure you know the lore with why he dropped this a day before blonde and what that meant for the label etc
I also feel like you putting the blonde reaction out on september 15th since it's 6 months from when you actually said that line is 100% something you would do. nvm editing this reply to say that now I think the blonde reaction is coming tomorrow and you're dropping back to back like frank. you've been too quiet today to not be finishing that video right now lmao
I feel like this is an album that can stand shoulder to shoulder with blonde a bit like untitled unmastered the unfinished/sketchy feeling adds to the experience
i have the album on vinyl he sold on his website for black Friday a few years ago and its a good album when you able to listen to it all the way with out the video lol def jam had not idea. for an album he was going to throw away its his most experimental
You mentioned Queens of the Stone Age in a past video (I think a Radiohead one) and I really think you should give Songs for the Deaf a listen. Even if not for a video, it’s a good album.
