The man making Kendrick laugh in track 7 was thundercat and in an interview said that that was the first time he got him to laugh since Kendrick’s usually pretty serious

Untitled Unmastered to me is one of Kendrick’s best projects. All share bits and pieces of who he is deep down behind the fame which felt like predecessors for what DAMN and Mr Morale were to become. Tracks Untitled 5 and 6 became some of my favorite tracks of Kendrick’s to revisit

It's always great to see a Path x Kendrick video! untitled unmastered is such a gem, I couldn't believe that these were leftover tracks to be honest. I wish more people talked about this project, but looking at Kendrick's discography, I don't blame them for putting this one on the back burner. It would definitely be fun to see you dive into more of Kendrick's work. The Kendrick Lamar EP and Overly Dedicated are pretty old mixtapes, but even in 2009-2010 we could tell that Kendrick was going to be a force. That VICE documentary was very interesting too. I'm glad we were able to get a peek into Kendrick's life and see how fortunate he is to make it out of a really dysfunctional environment. Really Be by YG ft. Kendrick is still tough to listen to. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but Young Egypt was indeed 5 when he made the loop on untitled 07 and he's the son of Swizz Beats and Alicia Keys. I thought that was pretty cool for Kendrick to do. Overall I think 2,3,5, and 7 are my favorites from this project. Kendrick is so damn versatile it doesnt make any sense smh. In your pinned tweet you said you're not sure about reacting to Schoolboy Q, but I definitely recommend giving it a listen! Schoolboy Q always delivers on his projects and Blue Lips is no different. It might my favorite album from him if I'm being honest. Looking forward to more of your reactions and streams! Take care, Path!

The first time I heard this album I didn't think it was as good as other Kendrick albums, but a few months ago it became one of my top 3 favorite Kendrick albums, just behind TPAB and GKMC

Amazing video as always!!! A recommendation I have is, I didn't mean to haunt you by quadeca. Its a concept album and you're listening to his perspective as a ghost after ending his life. I personally believe it could be one of the best of all time, it stands as not only one of my all time favorites as an album but the album holds one of my all time favorite songs!! This month i gave UU another listen and its crazy how underrated that album truly is. although its only 8 tracks literally each one is unique its own way and you can definitely see some GKMC and even DAMN influences in some of the tracks which is absolutely lovely. Untitled 06 reminds me a bit of Brazilian samba/bossanova that hits close to me since im from there :)

Honestly this type of reaction is sort of different than the rest I have seen, the difference in presentation kind of makes it feel like an annotation of the art in its kinda nice to hear the album along with you and pick up on the points. Can't wait for the Section .80 reaction it is my personal favorite because it was my introduction to Kendrick Lamar and in my opinion it's the prequel to the albums that follow because it touches on every topic of those albums.

Ik you said you don't really want to unless you were convinced but ScHoolboy Q's "Blue Lips" album is pretty up there in great recent albums. It's his sound but it's still experimental and you won't get bored for sure while listening. Probably the most water down way to describe an album lol.

kendrick crafting a praise worthy album out of the scraps (kendrick's idea of scraps anyway) of tpab is truly poetic, songs with no distinctive names but by the date they were created.

So glad that you took a deep dive into Kendrick's discography, he's easily my favorite musical artist! Some more great albums you should check out are circles by Mac Miller, it genuinely moved me to tears, and it's a beautiful follow up to swimming and one of my personal favorite albums, Care For me by Saba, which is a very intimate and interpersonal album about loss, and not a rap album, but Post Human: Nex Gen by Bring me the horizon, which is a really cool concept album covering topics like addiction and mental health, and is a really fresh blend of Pop Music, alternative, and Metal. Oli Sykes from Bring Me is my next personal favorite song writer and artist after Kendrick.

Welp now I'm going on a Kungfu Kenny binge at work this week haha. I was wondering when we'd see another Kendrick vid! Great as always.
