Hey friends! The Retro(Active) horror club has come back to life this March just in time for women's history month!! 💚⚡
This month, we are reading Mary Shelley's Frankenstein and watching the Universal Monster film adaptations. (You would be surprised to know just how many there are!) Also, I plan on reading non-fiction books about the film and Mary Shelley's life, as well as the many Frankenstein retellings that exist!
On March 24, join Andrew (@ITCamefromthePage) and I as we discuss Universal Monster's Frankenstein (1931) and the Bride of Frankenstein (1936) in a live discussion here on my channel.

Lost power last night so catching up now. Love the observations about nature and hearing about what's resonating with everyone. Hope you're still enjoying it!

I’m so sorry you lost power! Thanks so much for catching the replay. I am ultimately giving Frankenstein 3.5 stars because I don’t think it was like the most captivating story but I’ve been reading a lot of retellings and reimagining and I’ve also been watching a lot of movies that take Mary Shelley story and give it a twist, and it has really given me an appreciation for the original text. Zero regrets reading it!

Hey, guys, sorry I’ve missed the live. Frankenstein is one of the easier to read classics in my opinion, Jane Austen’s works are much harder and I really dislike them, I prefer all movie adaptations of her work. I’ve read Frankenstein years ago, as far as I can remember, I loved it. ❤❤❤
