I am a descendant of Frankie and Charlie and I thank you for this song. So many people think Frankie was a jealous wife that murdered Charlie for being unfaithful. I believe that when he threatened the lives of her daughter and herself, he signed his own death warrant. A woman will take a lot for love, but she will protect her babies till her dying breath leaves her body. I too was an abused woman and when I realized that I was lying beside my abusive husband at night contemplating ways to kill him when I wasn't even angry or he hadn't hit me that day, I knew it was time to put a stop to it before I ended up like Frankie.

Frankie is my Great Grandmother. Thank you for keeping her memory alive!

They were my great x4 or 5 grandparents. I know the true story. It's been passed down within the family. You did my ancestors well in this song. Thank you.

There is something I love about you Ali ... it's how you told this storie , here in this song .. there is Women, All Females of dating age gets beat up by boyfriend,husbands, and still go back into the relationship. After he says I'm so sorry and never do it again... Why???? Why do women think they can be punching bag and take verbal abuse like it's nothing .. it is a big deal!! I sure hope your song gets out for many more young ladies hear this song and if they are being abused in anyway they will walk away and stay gone if nothing else go find someone that will treat them good .. I am not a abuser due to I'm single but I think if I had a relationship I would think about this song if things got out of control with my girlfriend so really I should not talk and give advise but we all seen it and it's not fair nor right to be Abused!
