Before I published my Frankie Hill video, I reached out to him with some questions. He didn't see my message, but he saw the video, and we finally got in touch. Here are the answers to the questions I had, and some clarification on topics in the last video.

Frankie is the nicest guy. I met his dad at a local thrift shop in Wilmington N.C. and he was also as nice as he could be. We talked about Frankie and he was a proud poppa

Thanks for your initial and follow-up videos on Frankie! I was skating in the late 80's and early 90's and he was a big influence. His spotlight in both Public Domain and Propoganda was epic. Also, I'm really enjoying your own channel. I only discovered it a few days ago and can't stop watching.

Loved seeing Frankie on his board every day in High School. Back in the day when a lot of us had really skinny decks a little wider than a 2 x 4 board and made of molded plastic. I would be waiting for the bus and he would be ripping it up and down the street. I would always look up to him as another short skinny kid who was trying to do something with his life.

Frankie's skating inspired me so much during the early 90s. His style along with the music of the time was straight up fuel! You would get up, get out, and try killing everything in sight. Frankie Hill is definately an icon. Much respect.

Frankie was one of the very first skaters I saw who was incredible & became burned into my mind. Propaganda was “my” video as a kid... rented it every week from the local video store. It’s possible he was my first favorite skater.

I know this video is old, but if Frankie happens to see this, I hope he realizes how much of an influence he has had on skating, and street skating in general. I remember first seeing Ban This and my jaw was on the floor. I couldn’t even comprehend what tricks he was doing. Frankie was the king of going big at the time. It sucks he had such a hard time. I know all about it as well. I had some really hard times and quit skating. I’m 45 year old, former shop sponsored skater. And really miss the old days. I have been thinking about coming back to skating, but I have some health issues. Been watching a lot of videos about Frankie Hill and his journey. I wish him all the best, and he should know, he’s one of the best that ever did it. Dude needs an award and more recognition for his contributions to skateboarding. Do your home work kids, go watch Ban This!

Back then, there were only a handful of skate companies. So being pro was very rare. We all wondered why he wasn't pro earlier. He definitely had the skills. He was actually innovating the sport years before he finally did go pro. I think he had alot of haters because he was so good.
