If you didn't know, the rule of thumb for jewelers is to sell custom made products for twice what they get it for. My jeweler even told me that. Also WHENEVER you are buying jewelry somewhere only do business with the owner of the establishment, they are the ones who can decide how much to actually sell a piece for because they typically markup jewelry even more than two times for retail pieces. For example, my jeweler has this 30" Figarro chain priced at $9000. When I went there the first time I asked an associate how much they would actually sell it for and she said it would have to be $9000. I asked the owner the next time I was there and he said he would do it for about $5500.
Sams right, mark up is about double what they get it for. But it also really depends on the piece and business as the jewelry industry is not very standardized. Watch mark-up is all over the place
well he did say how to aka he saif i don't want to do the scratch test or it will ruin the jewelry and our customers don't want so, i can just put it into the 24k dollar machine to check
I was saying the same thing a while ago. But when i went to Miami you see this all the time. It's not uncommon to see this in Miami Texas or even LA. Coming from NYC when you hit 47th (Diamond District) You would see some hole in the wall guy with iced out Patek and Rolex right next to a guy who is the best in the game but they still compete somehow.
Manuel Haywood yea, I mean people who are like him. Are not the greatest. I still wouldn't trust it that's me personally. If I were to purchase a Rolex. I can say he is probably the best in that type of business and more knowledgeable.
Because that's where black people go and take all their money... Literally look at the people at his booth... Easy to make a sale to a person who doesn't give a shit about spending their money for the week on a piece of jewelry so they can show they're not broke... Even though they are broke as fuck
This guy is a genius, he knows that the most money can be made through creating 'rapper jewelry' which is highly in demand right now, transforming his parents' traditional business to suit the current market and establishing connections with customers.
Never judge a book by its cover. Just because the man works out of a flea market means nothing to me. It’s about what a person is about and who he and is the quality of his product .
tomascdiaz just because his family works there doesn't mean it was theirs. I started a marijuana cultivation center and both my parents work there lmao
MuffyThePomeranian he test if it's real gold, no one is going to use real gold to make fake Rolexs and that's probably not the only test he does. But it's the fast and easiest way to tell.
Right? Even the "higher end" fake luxury watches will use real gold. Bracelet quality, dial detail, bezel feel, movement sounds are first give aways to a fake. This dude is probably the kind of guy putting real diamonds on fake watches, lol!
I don't need some guy to be the best in the business to sell me a fucking watch. If I'm considering investing in a watch that costs as much as a new car, I'm going to buy it from a dude wearing a suit in an established jewelery store.
The only way I would EVER spend that much on gold or diamonds is if I were a billionaire. There’s absolutely no point to them besides strictly as a status symbol, and even then people will not believe it is real so I would never spend that much on a mineral.
Sir ,i hv been using semi gold watch for 15 yrs . Now ,ma jubilee band is breaking down , and when i contacted experts they say the links which connect crossly the gold part and the steel studs has coroded etc. i wonder how it get coroded ?.Is it true the links used to connect gold and steel part is made of coroding material??pls comnent.
All yall negaas hating on the Asian making money, but y'all don't want to put work in. Hating on someone who is working , get a job. Flea market or not $ is $
Jay Johnson you isolate your self and expect people to show pity for you no one cares. No excuses gotta grind no matter what. No one gives a damn about black people and what they start with.
Set up to fail? What the fuck with that defeatist attitude? Also since you're talking about history a lot of Chinese labors actually treated like shit when they build American Railroads during the wild west era. They suffer a lot and back then they only allowed to open small businesses like laundry service but not allowed to open stores or big businesses. Arabs before getting rich from oil were a bunch of nomadic tribes living in tents defending their precious water source. They had to sail around the world just to sell their stuff. Indians were treated like shit for centuries by British. Forced to plant tea and their treasures robbed and taken to UK. British used Indians as soldiers but they don't give them retirement benefit or awards until recently. So stop complaining about other races got it better, if you want to prove that African American can do something successful then start your own business. And if you think no black people in a big business then you don't know Daymond Garfield John. He's a very successful black businessman. Also you're talking about gospel, kinda weird you're hating on Arabs when Christianity came from middle east and actually spread by caucasians....
Jay Johnson So you're relying on the past glory long gone? That's weak. Do you think current Asians, Arabs, Indians rely on their ancestor's past glory? No. Chinese empires used to rule the sea but do current Chinese merchants rely on that for their success? Nope. Arabs used to expand their empire up to Cordova, but do they rely on that for their current success? Noperino. Indians and Mughals used to built empires so vast some of them underwater right now (just google underwater Dwarka) but do current Indian doctors and engineers rely on that for their success? Nehi. Stop relying on the past and gain your own success with your own brain and body. Money and success don't just fall into your lap, you must win them with hard work and dedication.
Maybe this guy is legit and his shit is real but I could not feel comfortable paying thousands for jewelry in a setting like that no knock down to flea market sellers but it's not a safe feeling you know.
a precise system of vocabulary and syntax for writing programs absolute or machine language refers to instructions that can be understood directly by the computer an artificial or high level language more closely emulator spoken English to makes program Ming and revisions easier.
@Kelly Your being racist too though...Fuck out of here laugh out loud, and who gets mad about not being able to say the N word? Maybe you can't but I have Asian homies that get a pass, it's not a big deal, and for all we know your probably talking trash to a little kid especially with his logic... ha ha ha people wilyn out here
This guy Frankie Diamond got some nice jewelry.I lost a chain a while back with Diamonds. This guy seems like he has the chains that I like and he knows his shit.
People be hating on this guy , I’m just here taking notes on the gold nuggets he tossing. My dad is a jeweler and we’ve been in business for 15 years. It doesn’t matter where you’re making money at as long as you are making it. 28 years of business says a lot they guy knows what he’s talking about and I’m glad I found this video ! Thanks for the info
Don't listen to this guy. I'm pretty sure your dad knows more or does better business than this guy. Look this fool up. He's definitely one of the worst in the jewelry game. His clients been dogging him for years. Shit ask ace hood bout him lmao
Why not some people got other hustles other than rap. Look at Pras from Fugees (Movie Investor Energy investor), Chamillionaire (Software investor as well as other small business), 40 Cal (Beauty Shops), Red Cafe (Real Estate Investor, (International Show Promoter in Dubai), Cam'ron (Movies,Franchise owner of various fast food spot)
"everyone talk VVS, vvs, vvs, cuz all rappers to all about they don't know si1 or steps of clarity" ha the way he insulting says this that every one is stupid but him. he doesn't even know what clarity is or the scale. goes top>bottom: Flawless; VVS1,2; VS1,2; SI. rappers always say VVS CUZ IT'S THE BEST(basically). you need manigifer to tell flawless n VVS and F is way more expensive cuz rare. also VVS mean very very slight inclusions which doesn't mean you can see the carbons or what ever he said about carbons. diamonds are 99.99... carbon. trace elements cause colors or sometime messes up the crystal structure or number of other things that causes inclusion aka blemish. and many ppl have never heard of SI cuz it's bottom end who brags about budget shit. many ppl never heard of tripe but everyone knows filet mignon. Last thing WTF are you doing to the Rolex while setting diamonds that they cannot repair it? if spending 10ks or 100ks on watch I'd only have certified endorsed shops work on my watch. your jewelry can change the band add a bezel even set stones on/ice out the face and not mess with the movement. unless he's talking about a warranty or something or maybe he swaps fakes movements and sells the real one. he talks a big game but way off obviously not a professional.
At least he’s being honest. If you have a high end watch such as a Rolex President or anything along those lines. The worst thing you can do is have diamonds set in it. If you want a watch like that with diamonds buy it from the factory. A lot of jewelers that sell these type of watches sell them with aftermarket bands and dials.
First thing I do is look at the cyclops bubble magnifying DATE.. second thing I look at is the second hand if the second hand is too short and not touching the second markers it's fake, third thing I look at it if those get past is the bracelet it's not rocket science... to a rookie it's rocket science to the professional it just takes one glance... to a professional all it takes is a quick glance I can't stand a fake Rolex wearer. He's got nice watches.. REAL DEAL
Inept Society....OF COURSE I CAN, BUT USUALLY IF SOMONE ASKES AND IS UNSURE THEN ITS PROBABLY A FAKE..THEY DONT JUST POP UP IN RANDOM PLACES IN PEOPLES HANDS THAT EASY....
You can only check it with the service center to be sure, sometimes it could be real outside, but inside it has some spare parts changed aka it was broken so they fixed it, but with non original parts.
YES r Negoro THIS IS TRUE...outside could be real deal solid GOLD/master fake.... and the inside could have aftermarket replica movement...deep inside parts this is super rare and a new technique master companies are doing these years....it's getting more difficult...
A real rolex will "humm" when you put it to your ear. The second hands does not tick from marker to marker, the second hand is constantly moving in a very smooth way. These are just two things to look for among others.
Frankie , u probably mad busy but I have a question if I get your attention here I’ll DM u. It’s about a 60 gram 14k good chain . I just wonder if price I’m willing to pay is too high
