Isn't it just wonderful to think "hey, I want to hear a piece by Danzi" and just randomly take the newest upload... :-) Nice concerto, even on a grander scale than I imagined by this composer. Greetings, Rolf, Netherlands
What a brilliant set of flute concertos by Danzi, concertos that I really believe should be much better known. Also interestingly, the concertos clearly reflect the period in music history during which Danzi lived, namely during the transition between the classical and the romantic period. The first 2 of Danzi's flute concertos are clearly still in the classical style, while the last 2 are in the romantic in style.
