After spending the night and much of the next morning chilling out at Sandy Cape it was hard to accept that we had to start heading back.
The drive south was another chance to enjoy the magic of Fraser Island. We stopped off at Indian Head for some lunch, which was a good thing as we ended up helping out recovering a couple of vehicles who were about to execute a snatch recovery with the strap around the tow ball on BOTH vehicles, a death wish in the making!
Brad insisted we stop off at Happy Valley to checkout the model of the Maheno wreck as it was in its glory days. If you get the chance you really should stop in and check this out as what you can see of the wreck today doesn't do this ship justice.
By the time we hit the ferry we were already working out when we would be back next!
