@@mindyours8343 I met Niles [David Hyde Pierce] years ago in Los Angeles at a charity event that he was hosting. He was so humble and gracious. I was impressed.
As a cat person, I need to acknowledge that eating a hot bowl of soup, and cuddling with a fluffy kitty and a blanket sounds like a wonderful way to spend a cold winter evening.😊
I second that. Plus, if the soup in question is my Easter sausage stew with boiled eggs, you can even share with the cat. Very Theodore and Mr. Balbini, if I say so myself.
@@lapelcelery42 😂 I agree. I did have some cats who were like this, sometimes. One especially loved snacks and tasting when I was cooking and it was a big treat if I was going to eat in the living room and he could, too. 😺 Still, certainly, NONE of them could've ever done it on cue! 😹
One of my favorites❣️ Albeit I’ve seen each episode _numerous_ times (and have them all downloaded), I used to watch this particular episode repeatedly. Hilarious‼️ It’s the precursor to “The Ann Who Came To Dinner” (S11E13). I highly recommend watching the entire series in chronological order. Enjoy, and be well.🤍

The genuine affection in this as "Frasier" happily drops his guard in the presence of such an enigmatic animal makes this scene fascinating on every level including personal and psychological.😂🐱☕☕B.W.
I had one that could sit up, shake paw, play dead, etc, etc. After he died I don't want another one because they will never be him. Oh yeah, he talked my ears off too. 😂🥰
I’m a cat person and Frasier is one of my all time favorite shows, but did the writers forget that back in season 3 episode 10 we find out that Frasier is, in fact, allergic to cats?
@@catnewskawai9367 ....having had three cats over thirty one years they'd be very irritated---growling, yowling and/or hissing. One unbreakable rule with animals: Leave them alone when they're eating.
This is one of favorite scenes too. It's so cozy and comforting, and it's Frasier at his best. He and Mr. Bottomsley are a winning duo here.It's moments like this that made the show Frasier very dear to my heart. Thank you for postinv this. :O)
The genuine art of acting is just truthful, amazing in this one scene. Kelsey brings with him an intensity of sadness, honesty and a vulnerability that could only be done with true acting talent. Behind the touches of laughter is a heart breaking moment that comes across with such genuine art that only Kelsey could do. Acting genius indeed.
He is indeed a remarkable person ..in his roles and I would imagine in real life as well.He has had more than his due share of the hurtful side of an individual life,as we all have.And My thoughts were exactly as I saw another commenter express...I loved the show so much but somehow never saw this wonderful episode! It only serves to endear him to my heart even more..I think he would be a truly amazing friend in real life..and cats only serve to bring that depth of intimacy and private soulmate bonding to another level that will fill your heart with it's richness.They indeed have a companionship and loyalty that reaches deeper and more personal than I've ever experienced with the wonderful hdogs I've also loved..or with most human beings for that matter.Their love is real,their comfort is there when you are sad ,their loyalty is only for them and the person they love deeply at moments you least expect.I could not have made it through losing my husband of 38 years if not for the worry,concern and loyalty of a tiny sick kitten I found in my yard one day ,..who grew to appreciate and found a way to repay me for seeing how valuable and needed he was to me...Being an adult cat at the time ,he sat on my lap and did not mind the tears and grief I covered him with.He slept by my face,looked into my eyes with such compassion and helplessness as to how or what he might do to help me...I could never have done it if not for him...a little flea infested barely alive tuxedo cat with swollen infected crusty eyes..who was the most beautiful friend I ever could find..
I've always found it hard to get into this scene as anything but a daydream because of the afghan. Frasier ("I support the arts, not the crafts.") never had the afghan before or after this. However, after getting my first cat, they do inexplicably change you.

So happy Frasier is coming back. I'm 36 so it was a huge part of my childhood. It's so cozy, and such a GOOD QUALITY funny show. Figurative *hugs* to the Frasier cast. And yes, this kitty scene is endearing.
"Beat it, Eddie there's none for you." Dr. Crane has it in for Eddie since the first season. It's clearly personal! Eddie cant help it that he's observant.
Dear god, I'm aunt Shirley. One of my favorite quotes ever from Frasier! It's right up there with "right after you go shoving me into the kitchen shaking your freaking finger at me!" "I have sensitive nipples" and "i don't care! Niles gotta have it!"
I love the quote from Niles when they're at the timber mill with Martin, and they're being real snobs. Martin gets fed up with it and walks out, Frasier asks Niles to say something to stop Martin, and Niles runs to him yelling: Dad wait!..The Mudpie is coming!'.
I'm home for now with our 2 cats both asleep, one on the front room couch and one on our bed. Talk about enjoy the silence, I get that now, our two little buggers are love and affection.
I really love the way he says "Dear God, I'm Aunt Shirley!" He's not mad or upset about it or anything. He's going to continue to be Aunt Shirley without a bit of guilt.

Frazier was my favorite sitcom back in the day, and I thought I'd seen every episode, more than once. But for whatever weird reason, I've never seen this cat. I wonder how many times they had to repeat this scene before the cat did exactly what they wanted.
Actually cats are extremely smart and easily trained. This cat is only on 1 episode. He's watching him for a neighbor. It's part of the set up about not finding the right woman and now he's turning into aunt Shirley cause he's talking to a cat covered in a shawl. My oldest cat is 23 yrs old and has been trained to do things on command since 6 months. He was trained with treats exactly how I trained my dog.
That's true, but I dont think it's one of the serious scenes in Frasier. Like the episode where Niles has open heart surgery (I'm sure yu are familiar with it). This show has the dizzying euphoric highs AND the thoughtful poignant moments that set it apart from the usual crap that is currently being churned out.I think I really like this scene because I talk to myself an awful lot but don't have a pet of any kind! At least I can find comfort that even a giant like Frasier does this sometimes! :)
I love this episode and whoever thought of the name for the cat is genius . 🤣🤣 makes me think that's the type of name Frasier would have picked if it was his cat
