This truly redefines close formation flying, I was there on the Saturday till the very end of the show and I am a massive Red Arrows fan but even they weren't performing this close to one another in every single formation, I mean these Italian guys are a complete bunch of looneys when it comes to flying!

@@Jeff-ub4lr I agree, if you look at the crazy stunts they would pull, especially in the years they were equipped with the G91, it's amazing and scary at the same time; I have to admit it was a beauty in the old days but I am happy things have changed in regards to safety.
Anyone who has ever handled the controls of an aircraft will know how monumentally difficult that simultaneous landing is........ That's before we even start on the rest..
Not comparable in my opinion, they have a really different type of display, i consider them equal, red arrows are more precise amd they have a more aggressive plane that i love, PAN have a quite concentrated and non stop action, and the solo part is unique.

at 2:15 this is the maneuver where it all went wrong in 1988... before the accident the 3 groups of planes would loop further towards eachother creating a heart shape with the solo plane coming directly towards the crowd. After 1988 they banned that move.

They didnt display it for safety reasons, as i could read on italian press, actually i ve noticed that also the C27 Spartan display was greatly shortened. I really cannot understand, usually at Riat PAN is used to show the complete program, so the other aircrafts displaying.
I am Italian. And as Italian I immediately say that sometimes I'm ashamed of it, especially thinking of all those who ruin this beautiful country. I talk about politicians, about people do not pay taxes, people that take advantage of those who need it. But it is useless to deny that these people also exist in other countries of the world. So, there are many people in Italy who are good, hardworking, passionate, kind, polite, expert and above all, honest. And these guys are the example. No need to say Red Arrows, Patrouille de France, Red Arrows and others are better. But one thing to my people: italians, learn english language !!! :-D:-D:-D

Frecce Tricolori is cool but I'll take the Pasta Fagioli. And the Blue Angels. Flying real fighter jet (F/A-18D soon to be the E & F variant), not the trainers these guys use.
Pearl it’s comparing apples to oranges...the blue angel formation is without a doubt the most precise (you’ve gotta be blind or Brian dead to dispute that) but in terms of aerobatics either the reds or frecci tricolori are the best. The Blues aren’t a aerobatics display team they’re a demo team so it’s hard to compare the two
Oddio..mi sa che per usare un francesismo ..CE LA SUCATE TUTTI..compresi i Blu Angels..e rilancio..la sucano tutti a " tutte le forze armate italiane" di cui faccio orgogliosamente parte in Italia ed all'estero da 32 anni..non ci deve insegnare niente nessuno..
