I always thought of Daphne as someone who pretend to hate scary stuff and the likes only so people tried it more. Same with playing character of helpless victim when, in reality, she is excited to use new self defence strategies. Like I imagine her having gagets like Totally Spies. Getting them by using her families money.
I love how Aria's design, with the neon and goth inspiration, gives off slight Cyberpunk vibes. I especially like the hair- and it made me realize I should try out drawing other hair styles for designs.
Guys in short-shorts give me breathing problems lol I love how Daphne's successor is Goth. I feel like we just need more Goth characters in general. Also on a random note when you said 'beach boy' a random Beach Boys song started to play in my head
With all the Gang done I can now drop the Headcanons I’ve been holding on to since Ethan’s video/New ones that sprouted from Aria and Ryan’s designs -Hazel and Ryan have a stupidly elaborate handshake that Ethan and Aria judge them heavily for (they don’t care though) -Ryan was in Cub Scouts/Eagle Scouts as a kid -Ya know those really frilly robes people wear as pajamas/as lounge wear….Yeah Ethan owns one and wears it to all of his and Hazel’s sleepovers -Aria doodles stuff on her notes and absolutely can’t be trusted with a pen cause she will draw on her or someone else’s arm (Hazel is usually the one she draws on) -Hazel is the greatest gift giver. You’ll mention something in passing ONCE and she will hold on to that until your next birthday or whenever she comes across it. -Aria has the coolest earring collection. I once saw this girl who had an earring that looked like this intricate sword going through her ear so I feel like she’d have something like that -Hazel (when she could) worked on crew for any plays Ethan was in during high school -Ryan easily gives the best hugs. Human teddy bear Aaanndddd done! Sorry for the long comment, Scooby Doo is something I’ve loved since I was little (my dad introduced me to it and we bonded a lot over our love for the show) so I just- adore these characters and can’t wait to see this generation’s Scooby and Mystery Machine!
Okay first off: I’m loving the goth look and how Arya is also the smart one Two: Looking at HBO Fred made me realize that he doesn’t have socks(12:15), so seeing Ryan with socks gave me faith in humanity.😅
Aria and ryan’s designs are really cool and stylish, and is honestly better designs then hbo’s daphne and fred’s design Also have a fun and safe trip in iceland in july😊
Well the person who was going on theses trips is no longer with us and since I work from home I'm the only one who can go but yeah dont think I'd ever travel this much by myself 😅
Loving the redesigns and thought put into every part of their lives/personality. I agree about how tiresome friends dating and then being together forever. Worse off when they are still really young. I would love to see your Scooby Doo series come to fruition. So refreshing to see going out of the box while respecting the original stuff. Looking forward to seeing Scooby and the van (and Milly and Luna before then).
•Arya Discussion: She seem to be one amazing, stylish and outstanding looking lady that I really dig the look of a gothic approach to her. As she seem to remind me of a college friend of mine that have that same style and appearance that I hope one day to show her your character to her for a cosplay event at my local convention center 😄Also the story behind her is unique that I can’t wait to see more of her out there if you thinking to do more informative things on her or the gang. •Ryan Discussion: I never thought of seeing someone using Stranger Things mix Owl House together with Scooby-doo to form him. As it’s a very unique concept that might have to keep note on in my journey of character making. I shall credit you for the concept if I have it out there 😌 with that said, style is nice looking for someone who look perfect for the swimming team and not being a super Jock like Mystery Inc Fred. Thank you for sharing out these characters and I can’t wait to see “Scooby” and “Mystery Machine” as I hope they look amazing and sweet all together. 😎 Also for the Loona and Millie “Redesign” I am curious on what changes might you do to them and brings me to ponder if they going to look epic like their OG design or 100x better. 😏

Man, I just adore this little series you have redrawing the mystery gang so far. As someone who also grew up watching Scooby-Doo, I just adore these new characters you created. I think my favorite out of the two definitely has to be Hazel and Aria. But I still love all their designs altogether, though. I love the ideas you have for this, and Im so sad that this isn't a show with all the details you give each video. I can't wait to see what you're gonna do for their Scooby-Doo and even the mystery van. Great job!!

And if you haven't thought of what would be a good Scooby for this gang, I feel it would be really cool if it was the offspring of Scooby and the alien dog from Scooby-Doo Alien Invaders (I can't remember her name 😢) to kind of tie more into the mystery of Hazel's lineage you know, but that's what I had for my own thoughts, so I don't want to make it sound like I'm forcing this idea to you. Ok I hands down adore Ryan I have a soft spot for Himbos, and STEVE AND EDRIC?! SIGN ME THE HELL UP! His design is simple and nice, adore the bucket hat (sorry but its funny to me since it reminds me of fishermen, also sticks to his chill style) I feel like he bleached his hair in middle of a life crisis and he just stuck with it, him being the mom of the group is amazing cuz all these smart guys will definitely get into a lot of trouble, like they’re smart sure but just not…THAT kind of smart( hope what i mean gets through) Ryan also reminds me of Dylan from The Quarry, I have a small tinny tiny headcanon: Ryan has chipped colored nails, idk what color (maybe like light blue or something) but he has painted nails Aria is our tech gal! Reminds me of Ms Tarantula from Bad Guys, also yeah the Daphne goth look from Mysteries Incorporated was my favorite look. Her hair is absolutely gorgeous and I love the makeup, feels like she’s mysterious but also you see that pop of makeup and you think “Oh maybe she’s not so closed off?” Idk, Im sorry im overanalyzing but to sum everything up I love their designs 10/10

Love the designs, especially Daphne's new gen design (I love goth looks). I screamed when you mentioned going to Iceland because I'm from Iceland. Seeing tourists and hearing people excited to visit my country always makes me happy. I hope you will have an amazing trip to Iceland!
Let’s be honest. If this was ever a show people would be SIMPING for Ethan and Aria. ( also I have an idea for Scooby’s spiritual successor. It could be one of those Alien Dogs. Which could make sense why they can talk.)

Oh my lord, seeing them all together gives me such happiness. Their so beautiful in their own ways without being forced (unlike HBO's Velma) And my favorite has to be Velma's spiritual successor, Ethan (hope I spelled it right, because I know there are different spellings) and Daphne and Hazel are just so amazing, I love how you did Daphnes hair!! Poc don't usually get the hairstyles they usually wear irl when it comes to animation and art in general, and I'm glad you changed that!! Amazing art!!
On a smaller note I really appreciate that you made the pigment on Arya’s palms lighter and paid attention to detail. It really bugs me when people shun others for acknowledging a natural beautiful detail of black people and demonize it as a “racist feature”. It’s literally a natural part of black people’s bodies and it should not be demonized or seen as something “racist”. Thank you for doing that, Arya looks stunning!

Daphe is my fave besides the shaggy scooby duo. It use to be velma but after daphnes change to hot girl that kicks ass, that made me love her. She is still her stylish fun self but she is no ones hostage, no ones damsel in distress and I love her for it. I was going through my "not like other girls" phase I am sure most of us relate to. And watching daphne still be her stylish and more fememine self but be so strong and use her femine side to her advantages, like her socialising to get clues, literally kicking butt and using things in her makeup kit to help the gang in the ticki island movie really helped me accept the more femine girly part of me i wqs locking away. I wouuld love since your goth daphne successor would have to maintain that killer makeup some how to have a make-up bag but it doubles as a utiliy bag and she calls it as such. And looks around when opening it like there is top secret stuff in there. Something silly but very useful and a call back to an amazing character Edits for typos and fixing general errors
Once again, really like what you did with these characters! Honestly the Scooby Doo franchise deserved better than the absolute travesty that is the HBO Velma we ended up getting. Here's hoping that whatever the next creator does with Scooby Doo does the franchise justice.
I love Arya! I imagine bc she's someone whos wanting to be part of a robotics team she'd have some episodic stuff where if she got on the team during the show she'd have moments of not knowing whats wrong with a robot and figuring it out while setting up a trap as a sort of resolutuon! Also a gag of calling Daphne where its heavily implied to be Daphne because of the things Arya is asking her about like "remember when you- [insert a refernce to a very specific means Daphne helped solve a mystery in an episode]" except because of where they live the connection is so bad to a point its static and only Arya can make anything out. Its to a point Ethan is constantly asking "are you sure you and Hazel's family members don't know eachother?" And she either lies on purpose or genuinely is like "no? What are you talking about? She just traveled a lot." With Ryan he comes off like someone who would always carry stuff like snacks and other things that people might need on the go in the fanny pack. (Kinda tying into the nutrition class its probably semi based on what he's learned in there). He probably connects with Ethan sheerly because he knows the guy is bad at befriending people and so its very intentional when he keeps reaching out despite everything. Anyways I love your designs and can't wait to see what you do with Loona and Millie! They feel like they have so much potential and I really wish we got to know more about them in the show. ❤
4:40 OK so she’s the Daphne color palette wise, but she definitely feels like the smart one that’s nice. It’s perfectly fair that is Vema’s counterparts gonna steal fashion that she’s going to steal brains. Also, she looks like a bag of pop rocks. I love her.
9:22 I really hope Aria likes hex girls and thinks it’s a-oldie-but-a-goodie. I think it would be really cool if she finds out that Shaggy used to know the hex girls and originally thought he was sort of dorky until she found that out. “Hex girls walk so the goths could run. I love them!” type of reaction
15:16 I love Ryan he’s got that stupid hat that all the fuck boys wear in college, but it’s supposed to be like water related so it’s actually fitting. I’m kind of a sucker for people who look like they should be fuck boys, but are definitely not. Also, I would just like to say that a lot of people think sports people are dumb, but a lot of them have a lot of team adaptability and leadership skills as it takes a lot of group effort. Even in a solo sport like swimming, it takes a lot of dedication and integrity and a drive to keep going. Just think that’s a negative stereotype, mostly based off of how writers felt going through high school.
Also head cannon, Ryan likes to crack jokes when people are sad and he has a really goofy dumb smile when he sees other people like having a good time. Even if he’s not like the most cheery person on the team, that’s just my head cannon
I LOVE Aria's design its 100000× better than HBO's design, legit when I saw Daphne's design I thought "What in the Alabama tarnation is that outfit?" I was so confused on what she was wearing 😂
11:14 i mean, jack black does sound like himself in some of his vc roles, but the difference is how much soul he puts into it that you kind of forget. i dont have a problem with a character sounding like the va as long as they still embody the character themselves and kind of make you forget. voice acting isnt **always** putting on a different voice ^-^

There is no doubt about it that if your characters was adapted into a HBO Max series. Everyone would definitely find Aria extremely attractive and hot. She would have the most fanboys and fangirls. Ryan and Ethan would definitely be a comedy duo having the most hilarious memes and shipping compilations.
Ngl, I love that Fred’s spiritual successor is a swimmer! The two look so cute. I’m not an “Olympic swimmer” but I have been swimming competitively. I can say that it’s very intense and usually has the swimmer work out the shoulders, back muscles and legs. For some swimmers, they are either long distance or short distance. Also this is just what I’ve been told, if your legs are spread when you stand up comfortably/regularly, you are good at breast stroke swim. I’ve been told a few times. I can only imagine that for Olympic swimmers, it’s 10 times intenser so take what I say with a grain of salt. But yeah, also I relate with the sunburn thing. My nose got sunburned and it’s still healing. All I did was wash cars. This Texas heat is ungodly.
Love both of these! Also, I don't know why, but for some reason, I imagine Arya sounding either like DC Superhero Girls's Catwoman or like Maxine "Max" Gibson from Batman Beyond.
It’s always nice seeing a character in any sort of media who’s canonically questioning their sexuality! It’s nice to see characters not fully mail down certain aspects of their identity
At my old high school, it was tradition for the guys on the swim team to bleach their hair! so even tho u said it was just because you thought it was cool, for me i see it as a memory from high school swimming! absolutely love Ryan and his design!
I love them! The gang's nearly together. I can practically see the chaos this group would create. Also, the mysteries they would solve. Some like the previous gang, but maybe even paranormal.

See, THIS is how you do a “Redesign/Remake” of Scooby Doo- you make a NEW. GANG. You can’t just raceswap pre-established characters to keep up with “modern” audiences- that’s not how it works. It’s just like how they removed the teachers boobs from the teacher in Powerpuff girls, just why? This is how you have a more diverse cast- making a new one!! Just slapping blank paint on characters and making them talk about drugs like?? Yeah cool.. Love these designs btw- sorry just wanted to rant about this haha
I love them so so much I first thought of Daph and Fred's next g's are siblings or maybe couples (?) because of the fred's silhuette was doing bunny ears to her XD but he is gay so im expecting a sibling-like energy between them And now i look all of them, babies look like a real team Great work as always ❤

Your Daphne redesign sort of reminded me of Kat from Wendell and Wild or Rouge the Bat a thief who was somehow working for government atleast in Sonic X. For Scooby if i have to guess instead of being a dog i imagine your redesign would probably be a scaredy cat.

The gang is Finally all here! And yes, Fred is best boi and is lucky to have a kick-ass girl like Daphne. I’m excited to see the fanart, because I know there will be, and I kind of wanna see funny animations of this group. But I won’t force it of course. (I would make them myself, but I’m *way* too lazy 🥲)
I’ve personally got the idea of Arya being aroace, because while I am now well informed that aroace can still feel romantic and intimate feelings and have relationships, it would be funny for her to be the only one who isn’t always being and out of relationships, and a fun subversion of Daphne being the love crazy on of the group. It would still be cool to explore aroace in relationships though. Great work as always.
