The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is the world's preeminent movie-related organization, with a membership of more than 6,000 of the most accomplished men and women working in cinema. Astaire’s timing is impeccable! He knew just when to slide through a dud joke and how long to give a laugh. It was tailored beautifully to his casual speech style. Funny to see them reading with no TelePrompters or cue cards. He’s always a pleasure!

Excellent. He was a LEGEND in his own time. God rest Fred Astaire…..my oh my….what an amount of enjoyable entertainment he provided and is still providing. Again…God rest his wonderful soul.

How times of changed. The opening of the oscars was a political diatribe AGAINST leftism. Today, the ENTIRE show is an advertisement FOR leftism. However, I’m not a hypocrite. These occasions should be politically neutral and contain nobody’s personal political opinions AT ALL.
