the contrast between hank's genuine stress during this scene and freddie's entirely unearned confidence was beautiful. i felt like i was watching dionysus himself manifest at the table to protect dan fucks's balls
@@johnkies1189without going too into detail, the character is named Dan Fucks and he’s supposed to be the embodiment of pleasure in the human body. He wanted to do a femme fatale sort of move where he flashes this group of gangsters to distract them. He failed to sway them, and they all opened fire. These rolls in the clip were to see if he could avoid their bullets, which Brennan decided to interpret as what you saw at the end
@@Jayk-kz7sh Correction: That was a block roll. If I remember correctly, Brennan painstakingly describes how he is now bleeding from his dick and somehow still standing.
After watching the first season of dimension 20 years ago i decided to implement a box of doom myself at the table for my players, and they absolutely love it, theyd probably throw a fit if i stopped pulling it out for important crucial rolls.
@@maddi_b_123 it's that box that Brennan pulls out. Every time an important roll is gonna happen Brennan pulls out the box of doom and for dramatic effect he calls out the DC for the roll to succeed.
@@THEPELADOMASTERImportantly also, there's a camera inside the mouth of the skull. The audience gets to participate in watching the roll of the dice, instead of just waiting for the cast to announce it.
The 59 was un fucking believable, and then Living Cartoon Hunch Curio rolls a nat 1 and it’s like well. Yeah he would get thrown a quarter mile away and be near death but still kicking.
I don't know what's my favorite part of this clip: Alex face while pumping their fists up in the air while the Box of Doom is passed, Hank facial expressions or Freddie's DILF shirt
Bro to see Freddie here is so awesome I love both dimension 20 and dungeons and daddies and to see someone from one show on the other brings me so much joy
I think I have the exact same dice as Freddy; in fact, they were my first dice set I ever owned. Forest green with black and olive dotted around, and gold-ish lettering.
Honestly i loved the Mentopolis roll and moxie system. Genuinely the most enjoyable and watchable game mechanic ive ever witnessed on a table top rpg made that much cooler with all of the creative assets and the massive Rube Goldberg delivery system. That said it was also only the second TTRPG playthrough i watched all the way through but goddamn was it compelling
Any glen close enjoyer knows full well that freddie plays with 200% confidence and a trickster god-like love for living on the edge and doing whatever he thinks of. put him and emily in a campaign together PLEASE.
Let me draw your attention to the fact that Dan is still presumably wearing the fairy wings and Trilby he got as a disguise before the courtroom scene. Just have that image in your head as you visualize the final fight scene.
Never did I think I'd see Hank Green and Brendan Lee Muligan in the same video. I can't wait for the clash between Hank's lawful good and Brendan's chaotic neutral
Good stuff. One important tip to remember with the 0 cost card: you put it into battflow AFTER its effect. Which means you can flow a card from 1 to 0 then you place the 0 card into slot 0 and get the card there back to your hand. TLDR: 0 cost card can return a card in slot 1 to your hand immediately.
Oh my god this is great. I had *almost* a similar situation happen at my table last week and it was glorious. Except it was a White/Black Dragonborn Monk dressed like Bruce Lee getting punched in the balls by a Goblin. But the results were the same.
