Fact about Dave Clarke...... He was at Freddies bedside when he died and was to last person to see Freddie alive

Dave Clark, Freddie’s longtime friend, produced Time, and he said he asked Freddie to do the song with just the piano. Dave said that each take was an awesome performance. That’s why it stuck in his mind all these years, and he went back through 96 takes to find it. I love you, Freddie!💔😢

It's as if Freddie came back as an Angel from Heaven and sang to us again! The clouds & stars at the end as if Heaven came back and picked him up to take him back home. It was very powerful. And no it doesn't sound strange, Freddie had that aura about him, you crave him, whether you were alive when he was or not. The song has made it to 32 on the UK charts, expecting to make it to the top 10, I say it will be a number 1 over there.

The classic full version is good, but this one with just Freddie's voice and Mike's piano is really special!

Such a beautiful song but makes me so sad. I miss Freddie and it's not easy to realize that time waits for no one. I'm a teenager of the 80's. The first record I bought in my life was the single "Under Pressure". All black with white letters :) I'm from Portugal. I watched Live Aid on our national tv channel. I was 16. It's so cool to watch you, the younger generation in awe with Freddie and Queen like us back on the day! During these teenage days I only had access to Queen's music. I would listen on the radio. I would buy the records. But one day someone invented youtube! And then I saw Freddie talking in interviews. I still remember the shock of hearing his speaking voice and watching his mannerisms. I fell in love even more, if possible. I love his sense of humour!!! Have a great day! :)

How can we not love him, his voice, the song.... and also again: this was 1986, when he was becoming well aware he was ill, and by spring 1987 he learned he had AIDS death sentence. The emotion his singing pulls us into, is really overwhelming. I agree: also feel like I KNOW him personally, after the movie, all these music videos, and now all the biographies (57 of them in 2024). Yes, we are lucky that we can experience Freddie this way via the videos. I came upon a strange thing: I put my hand against my desktop speakers, and "feel" his voice resonating; almost like being there or touching him. good job.

The most beautiful song I have heard is "Too much love will kill you". I am actually using it to write the endgame to the book I'm writing. It's a powerful song that I listen to often. It is from the 1995 album "Made in Heaven". He recorded his vocals before he died in 1991, it was released in 1995.

That was superb, apparently it is getting into the main pop charts at the moment 4 million plus views of this official video and 400,000 downloads of just this song as of yesterday.

Shot at the Dominion Theatre, back in May (I think) of 86. the theater is also home to Freddie's Last Live performance in 1988.

Yeah I think you're right about the "new" track. I believe this was the first demo with just Freddie and Mike Moran on piano. And yes I think he is the one who worked with Freddie and the opera singer Caballe. And then they recorded the full blown version, fully produced, a lot of backing vocals and a different take for the album/soundtrack and then released the song as the single called "Time" in 1986. According to Dave Clark, he always remembered that first demo and how it gave him chills. Many years later he started looking for the lost demo and finally found it in 2017 after 10 years of looking for it. They isolated Freddie's voice and Dave got Mike Moran to play piano again and released it as "Time Waits For No One." I think this is the video to the original song "Time" but they were able to match this new/demo version to the video. The other version is very good but to me this "new" version much more beautiful. Sorry I wrote so much, but it confused me a little too, so I had to do some reading about it.

I felt the same as I could tell you did during the song. Freddie moves and stirs up the love and sorrow deep down within us all. Melancholy is all I can say to describe the song... The feeling that time is slipping away and the end of things is inevitable but also the joy in knowing that the people we love will be beside us. The very end that terrifies us also brings us closer together 😢
