The comedian Freddie Starr has strongly denied allegations that he groped a teenage girl after on one of Jimmy Savile's TV shows in the 1970s when interviewed, Speaking at his home in Warwickshire, he said the claims were making him feel ill - and he was mortified by them.

He did probably, but no one can remember everything that happened decades before and the police cannot go on no evidence. There was no CCTV or DNA then, plus it is well after the fact (Why was it not reported at the time?).

Some time ago my mate traveled back to the town where he grew up in as he hadn't been back for many years.And while he was there he decided to take his two little grand children to the local park ,to not only play on the swings but also to create more of a bond ,something we all miss when we live so far from our grand children .He suddenly became aware that a group of lads were taking over the play area and creating havoc ,and so he had a word with them and told them to behave themselves before any of the little ones got hurt. As he he walked away he heard one shout out at the top of his voice " I know you you're a pervert" to which his mates started to also heckle and join in .After telling me the story he said that people nearby started to whisper and point at him ,and you could see the disgust and aggression on their faces while the atmosphere became so bad he had to leave the park. That is a true story

All other crimes have a statute of limitation but sex crimes don’t. You can be charged and convicted of an historic sex crime with no evidence decades later and it happens a lot.

if my daughter was groped after going to a tv show audience I would think when I picked her up,(to be honest Id be there with her) she might mention a sexual assault.Was that young girl on her own, with her parents? can her story be corraberated? cash chasers. And if Freddie is lucky enough to have a young woman on his arm then good luck to him. The question is more, what does she see in him. Whatever, if they happy, carry on. I understand fully historic crimes and the social acceptances and dismissals of piers but if you felt it wasn't relevant at the time to report, then why now, you can argue knowledge maybe. These woman make statements which cost them nothing. The accused spends thousands of pounds clearing their names yet the accuser walks away scot free. Not cost her a penny. A law should be introduced if you make an allegation and it is found to be false you pay the costs, lets see how many step forward with their shit. Lmfao - I think 'haviturway1000', is definitely a David Icke disciple. There is no reasoning in his response to me what so ever. Even if Freddie did go to Jimmy Savile's dressing room after the show (and there is evidence to suggest Karin Ward made her experiences concering Jimmy Savile et al up post June 2010 with the help of some old mates she reconnected with on Friends Reunited and such like, so there is no reason to believe her version, that he was in the dressing room, over his, (t.b.c)

Lets get this straight.. you are accused of murder, police find enough evidence to charge you, you spend the next year a free person, locked up 23 hours a day in a cell untill you can prove to a jury that you did not do it. On the other hand, you could be a wealthy celebrity who got bail set at 2 million and remain free untill you can prove you are innocent. Am i missing something here, or is justice based on how much of it you can afford

yes well worked out,the reason the police see him as a suspect is because the woman in question has made a complaint saying he as abused her .but that does not make him guilty,does it. so judgmental without evidence,if they find any evidence the chances are he will go to court and a jury will say guilty or not guilty. not you me or anybodyelse. but personally i cant see this going anywhere.

'Gary Glitter' and 'Freddie Starr' incidents "didn't both happen on the same day" and this is backed up by the fact they were both on completely separate shows, filmed over a month apart, so there hadn't even been any suggestion (apparent from wrongly, in the papers) that Freddie Starr hung out in JS's dressing room with Gary Glitter or that Gary Glitter was ever his 'friend'. I don't know why FS wears make-up or his hair the way he does now, but it is not evidence of being a 'paedo', (t.b.c)

Do we.. i was under the impression that if you were accused of say murder, then you are assumed guilty, locked up in prison and only allowed out to go to court, unless you have a lot of money in which case you may get bail. Justice is about how much you can afford, and the wealthier you are the better justice you receive. How can being locked up in jail for months awaiting trial be called assumed innocent? You are assumed guilty untill you can prove otherwise..

Seriously? I can't comment whether he's innocent or not, but if you had some form of celebrity status in a world obsessed with seeing people fall from grace as a form of entertainment it's going to have an adverse effect on your nervous state whether guilty or innocent. When it comes to things like this, the mindless majority are quick to demonize and condemn someone the second there's a tiny little allegation, it gets sensationalized and your reputation is forever tainted, even when cleared.

Hmmm, the facial movements and the little and literal slip of the tongue across the lower lip and the slight pursing of his ' fiancée's ' lips suggests to me there is a great deal of 'masking' going on. I was just watching an old 'this is your life' with Frank Bruno and where Freddie makes a private joke about black n decker followed by Savile turning up as the next well wisher, touching himself openly and Frank joking 'is that a white and decker'. Its going to all come out as they die off I reckon.

Not unless she was 14. Besides this is about supposedly attacking a 14 year old girl. Would you be so against this if it were your 14 year old daughter who had been sexually molested or whatever it is? If he did anything he will no doubt be charged, if he still claims innocence then we can let a jury decide.. Not Fans, Friends and people who just don't like the guy. Nobody else would dare have him on, they were all terrified of what he would do or say next on screen for a laugh especially on live tv, he was the equivalent of Keith lemmon but way more unpredictable and totally uncontrollable. Nothing at all to do with misconduct whatsoever, nobody dared have him on before 9pm for that reason, he just took over the show, no matter who's show it was.
