Locust being able to target face is a little busted imo. Considering its also a twin spell that's potentially 28 damage and very early thanks to robe. Thankfully the robe is banned now.
With Robes gone, probably not. Health totals will get pretty high in this mode. At 11 wins, both players should start with 75 health, if I can count. 28 damage looks merely adequate in that context
Crazy how every other treasure they added was adjusted somewhat, but they did nothing to arguably the strongest treasure and expected Robes to be fine.
If it were -2 mana, limited to 2 cards/turn, that might do it. That would limit your max mana to 14 rather than 20, and would make the effect less efficient on high-cost cards. You very specifically would not be able to cheat out an 8-drop and 10-drop as your turn 4 and 5, which is what I suspect is breaking the win stats right now
It's so ridiculous that they nerfed all the other passive treasures, like recycling giving only one armor, but for the most busted treasure, they just ship it as is. Robes was stupid powerful in PvE how did they ever think it would be ok in this mode
Agreed. You knew that everyone and their mother ALWAYS picked Robes in PVE as soon as it was a choice, and that was in any adventure. You can't be a dev in this game and not know that unless you never played PVE, and it's become increasingly shown that devs pay more attention to all other modes since they bring in the money.
@@dylan5137 if you think that's how gamedevs should, or does it that makes me sad, they won't ever implement a 99/99 charge, start in hand for 0 mana, because it breaks the game, then says "it's play testing phase" You're FIRST testing it internally, then you push it to PTR, or another type of test, then it goes live, they have tested this beforehand in house, and they should have caught this one for sure.
@@dylan5137 We are the play testers and Blizzard gets to gain money by not only not having to pay anyone but also WE pay Blizzard to play test their mode.
It totaly should! I think it would be interesting if you only could go there after you lose, as a way for people to catch up and strengthen their deck It also would be wery neat if it was called Bob's cafeteria
Trump's deck: no 1 drop, 2 curve 2drops + sad tempo ooze, 1 curve 3drop, everything else below 8 is reactionary "Pretty sure my deck has earlier game than this" Yeah. Sure it does, buddy. Edit: after seeing the gameplay I am certain there is early onset of dementia
out of 16 initial cards 4 are good/okish early game cards (not counting the 2 fast 4-drops), thats 25%, a mulligan gets you 4 cards + 4 others if you tarde all, thats half your deck, fishing for that 25%, so, yes, his deck had more early game than what was offered but reading your comment i'm certains there is early onset of dementia, jerk
Blizzard logic: "We had to rebalance all the treasures to make sure they're not TOO broken in duels!" Also Blizzard Logic: "Robes of Gaudiness, a treasure so overpowered it's revered as broken in PVE duels, should be unchanged!" Robes of Gaudiness is broken. Blizzard: Surprised Pikachu.
@@satibel Thats 3 cards you just said there and robes only let you play 2 per turn. Lightning bloom on turn 3 though to give any card whose base mana cost is 10 or less is pretty strong.
One thing I don't like about this format is that there are so many anti-valur things against one-health minions. It's enough in constructed that mages can ping them easily, but now that they can actively further their board makes a free 1/1 a liability rather than a bonus.
the most bm thing I've ever seen-playing loyal sidekick just to show off the +1/+1 added from his defeated opponent. I know it was unintentional but it was hilarious. Love you Trump-never change
44:34 for anyone who cares a little bit of fancy board clear in that situation where he couldn't rush the 0/2 with Barov to trigger the clear you play Barov use hero power on him then execute for board clear but then again it could have been a Wisp for how much it was used that game
What in the hell is with so many voice lines in this mode not matching up with the text on screen!? It's driving me to total, absolute madness!! How fucking difficult can it be!? For fucks sake, Blizzard! Get yo shit together! God damn...
I dont like the playable treassures. They're waaayy too swingy because of how absurdly powerful they are combined with the fact that they're one-offs in FOURTY+ card decks. Its very likely that one player could draw all of their treassures, and the other draws none. At least the passive treassures always start in play
I bet you wouldn't like the passives treasures if only they existed. And then I bet you would not like this mode because it was too similar to constructed without treasures. Lol
@@Willowisp927 No i think the passive treassures are really cool, I enjoy how they change the way you play. The playable treassures are just cards that are deliberately overtuned, and even then I wouldn't neccesarily have a problem with them if decks were capped at 30 cards. But decks in this mode get massive, and playing even a single treassure card without an immediate answer in the form of one of your own is often instant game over. It just feels like "oh well I don't have my super card so i guess I lose" Maybe if they added some psuedo randomness, like making it so your first draw is always one of your treassures, that would heavily address it
can someone explain why he didn't attack with his units that could attack most of the time. it just seems like free damage to me idk if I'm missing something
