The Steering uses a recycling balls with a screw to turn a gear. likely it has water in it, nand needs a good cleaning. The upper and lower bearing used to be available. The balls likely could be sourced as well. The clutch fingers also have adjustments on them. We put in a new clutch and it wouldnt work split the tractor 2x before we figured out the fingers had an ajustment spec. The second time it was split by the dealer they didnt figure it out till after they split it. Likely easier to adjust while the tractor is still split.

I had a similar Kubota years ago with a loader and I have to say the steering was the weak link on the tractor, engine was bullet proof though.

Got to love these small Kabota's small but damn powerful. Love see more on these smaller tractors as well will it start and restoration of older iron. Bruce when are you getting yourself a front end loader?? (which you previously bought then had to sell it back to the origonal owner!) Be great to see a will it start on a JCB articulated front end loader with a rear back hoe and restoration.

No the throw out bearing was in right. The bearing is shot and the pressure plate is probably shot too and the fly wheel will have to be resurfaced too.

I have always used a mix of Baking soda and water to clean battery cables. It kills the acid on metal also. Just a small tip from an old timer. Love the channel Liked. All my best.

My grandad had a tractor similar, His was a L275. I grew up learning to drive it and it was my baby. He passed on and I wasn’t able to keep it due to the legal processes. I would do anything to have that tractor back man. This ole girl you got there brought back the real memories. God bless brother!

for the battery corrosion we get either some soda or coke poured on it and even better a kettle of hot water poured on it and it work wonders ! we do these jobs quite often ;)

I like those old tractors like that Kubota and wish I could run across the deal like that here in WV but I've got a couple of old Gravely riding mowers and they are the 812 mowers with hydraulic lift mowing decks and one has the stub shaft that comes off the rear end to run rear attachments but I've also got a L8 walk behind Gravely with the electric foot starter system on it from the factory... All three of my gravelies have been setting for a few years and I need to get on the L8 and get it going and probably sell it or sell one of the 812s and keep the L8 but I haven't decided which way I'm going on that yet...

fu barred means F.U. For short that clutch is done. needs an oil change filter change and the dip stick is by the two extra pedals right side only one i saw in video. new tube n tire dry rot. then fix the steering box etc. even 3-4, grand back out of it at a bargain you’ve done polished a turd. made off with cash 💵

Tip for cleaning battery acid. Dunk the terminals in boiling water. The acid will melt off

Brings PB Blaster to loosen up steering box. Cannot get bolt to turn to pour PB Blaster into steering box. I wonder if there is anything Bruce might have to help break free that bolt? Hmmm
