Lyrics
There she stood in the street
Smiling from her head to her feet
I said hey, what is this
Now baby, maybe she's in need of a kiss
I said hey, what's your name baby
Maybe we can see things the same
Now don't you wait or hesitate
Let's move before they raise the parking rate
All right now baby, it's all right now
All right now baby, it's all right now
I took her home to my place
Watching every move on her face
She said look, what's your game baby
Are you tryin' to put me in shame
I said slow don't go so fast
Don't you think that love can last
She said love, Lord above
Now you're tryin' to trick me in love
All right now baby, it's all right now
All right now baby, it's all right now
All right now baby, it's all right now
All right now baby, it's all right now
All right now baby, it's all right now
All right now baby, it's all right now
All right now baby, it's all right now
All right now baby, it's all right now

I believe Paul Rogers was quoted as saying bands like Free and Raspberries were the rockin’ American response to all the Progressive Rock that was coming from the UK. I remember all the rich kids who used to smoke pot and listen to Prog all day. Loved this band and later Bad Company.

In 1970 my friend and I where walking on the beach. it was a fabulous sunny summers day. All Right Now was playing on a radio. We where young confident and on the prowl and we soon spotted two gorgeous girls. One blonde the other had long dark hair. I said to my friend "I'll take the one with the dark hair." How smug where we when we where young eh?😀 We clicked right away and eventually I married her. I'm 75 now and every time I hear that song it takes me right back to that day.😀

I agree Paul Rogers has a superb blues/rock voice. However James Dewar (Robin Trower Band) was a beautiful blue eyed soul/blues/rock singer. Understated with a drop dead gorgeous tone. Look him up singing “about to begin”. Superb lyrics to boot!!

@@gawnmcilwaine2896 Yes, but he didn't have the range Paul has. Listen to "Laying Down The Law" when he was with the group The Law. Try singing it. I was in a band. I could sing James Dewar/Robin Trower stuff easily. I had to start so low trying to sing Laying Down The Law because he goes up about four octaves and I almost couldn't talk after singing the high parts. A great album almost no one knows about.

@@cindyinnew You are correct about not comparing the two bands. Free was blues and rock at its base/core. As raw as it gets. The opium of those types of music. But he didn't have the vocal range of Paul Rogers and the Allman Brothers band was six guys, sometimes more, all playing instruments.

Back when the music was soul soothing and made you feel involved in it. Still stiring emotions in people.

Paul Rodgers is a legend, and at this stage he's untouchable. The phrasing he throws out here makes me smile all over my being.

Best single ever. Any band, any era. Wore out my first copy - looked around for months to replace it!!! Eventually found an ex-JukeBox copy with the middle punched out. Prized possession ✊🏼

My all time favourite rock song, and i was around in the 70's. I've lost count of the number of top bands i saw live in that era, sadly i never got to see Free.

Are my eyes and ears deceiving me? This looks as LIVE as it can be! If so, how did they get it mixed so well for a live stage performance back in the day? I can't imagine that re-mastering it today would have turned out this good.

I don’t think it’s “wholly live” … Paul is singing, but during the lead break there is a second guitar playing chords here and there, and then the last sustaining note of the lead break continues well after Koss removes his finger from the fretboard. Some of the early Bad Company promo clips (Can’t Get Enough, Feel Like Making Love, Good Lovin Gone Bad) were similar, ie live vocals and some playing, but over a backing track. Nonetheless, great to see any clips of Free and Bad Company, legends and my absolute favourites.

@@glennpacker8161 Do you mean right around 3:20? I can see that. But ya know...for my own enjoyment it really is the vocals that makes it or breaks it for me. If my brain catches any discrepancies between what I'm seeing and what I'm hearing out of their lips, then I just can't enjoy the show at all. Paul's vocal quality is great in this performance! So I'm happy to see that the live vocals were captured here.

@@rip0219 from about 2.30 onwards in the lead break, there is a second guitar playing and the sustained note discrepancy is at about 3.16. You’re right vocals are great and they are live for sure.
