There are generally two types of files:
1. High-resolution PNG files (which are great since there are no backgrounds and are great for t-shirts, coffee mugs or other print on demand sites).
2. Vector files. These are great for use in Inkscape, Adobe Illustrator or other vector software. A vector is scalable to really large sizes without losing any resolution.
