I live in Worcester and these streets and highways are all real. all the towns are real and everything he says is real. its very cool to hear it in a book and live here.

Too bad china owns Hollywood. They'll never make a show, miniseries, or movie where china is the bad guy. Scott Medbury probably has a warrant for his arrest in China. But you are correct. Would make an awesome miniseries

Yes it would definitely make for one awesome mini series. But then, so would Michael Crightons book STATE OF FEAR. Hollywood will never make a movie or a series on that book because it exposes too many major “issues” today. While most of Crightons books are amazing page turner works of fiction, Michael was an absolute master at weaving intriguing stories that were full of verifiable facts.

What is wrong with you people? Do you realize how hard it would be for China to actually invade the US? Do you have any idea the logistics that would be involved? How about you just enjoy a good book and not try to make it seem like this could happen, because of "the way things are today"! This is such a great story !! I just can't stop listening!!! So far the author managed to get a great deal of adventure and real possible scenarios!!! The story is flowing smoothly keeping it interesting....

My only complaint is that dogs would not turn feral that quickly nor would all fruit go rotten in such a short time. Otherwise it is very good.

I’m usually not into fiction and am more into Addiction Memoirs, but I startled Book one yesterday and am already half way through book 2 part 1, meaning I’ve binged this hard. It says a lot seeing I’m not really into this genre. It does remind me of Bukowskis dirty realism. Very little fluff, gets to the point, and doesn’t spend time trying to use big words or make major philosophical statements. It is what it is and doesn’t try to be more. Which in this day an age is hard to come by.

The interaction between luke/Isaac/indigo is very interesting. Isaac getting jealous, even during combat. It highlights the issues real world US combat troops will face as they forcefully integrate females into combat jobs. People develop romantic or even sibling like relationships with each other and that can interfere with the platoons war fighting capabilities.

Hi Jen 🙋 I like how the author reminds the reader just how young the guys are. Still with crushes and losing their cool whilst setting out on their dangerous quest to find the safe haven. They could die at any stage but there is still room for falling in love. 🌹

So, I am thoroughly enjoying this story. EXCEPT, an ad in 6 minutes, the next in 7 minutes, and 10 minutes later, yep, another ad. I work with my earbuds in. My phone is not on me or beside me, I must put down what I'm painting, make sure my hands are clean, and find the phone to skip this ad running. Are they all going to be this way?

I'm enjoying the series but it's infuriating how many times Isaac wants to give warning shots. All that does is let your enemy know you have a but you have a gun where you're located and give them time to kill you while you're wasting ammo.

This part is not plausible "Karen, I want to tell you the status of your loved one, but first I need you to do something for me. I need you to go with me to some place private, then I will tell you if your true love's heart still beats". He even says to her "please". He pleads TO HER, Arthur's love, please do this for me. NO!. This is so vulgar a miscalculation that it ruins the whole story. Such a man cannot be a leader.

Not sure if I missed something, but is he 13 or 14 yrs old? Cuz that would explain his decisions and thought process. Zero common sense at this point.
