@@loritasagapolutele4521 Both Jacksepticeye and Markiplier have direct ties to Disney. Ninja has an indirect one because Twitch has direct ties to it. Its probably Disney offering Twitch something that Twitch wanted(or just a shitton of money yknow), and Twitch gathering as many people as possible.
Yeah, that's why it worked so well. I was about to roll my eyes when he pulled out the shield, and then the music kicks in, and then BOOM Chris Evans spitting out "shit". Very well played with escalation. It's not just dropped in with the idea of "remember this???". You know, like the entirety of Ready Player One.
On Twitter, someone asked him what strings he had to pull to get the Marvel and Star wars stuff in the movie. He responded to them saying "It wasn't strings I had to pull." Such a Ryan Reynolds answer. This guy is a treasure.
It's actually insane that he managed to get the rights to the music on top of the shield and Hulk's fist and getting Chris Evans to star in a second-loing cameo.
@Ninja is Great! True, I saw the movie yesterday & I loved it. The Portal Gun & Half Life’s Gravity Gun were unexpected to see in this. Same with the other stuff like the Shield, Hulk Fist, Lightsaber, Fortnite Axe & even Megaman’s Megabuster.
@@mariocooper1996 Yeah I loved the movie tooo xD!!!!!1 I GOT SO HAPPY WHEN POKIMANE AND TYLER "NINJA" BLEVINS CAME ON SCREEN !It made me feel so happy I EVEN STOOD UP AND CLAPPED WHEN I SAW THE LIGHTSABER FROM STAR WARS, though my wife's boyfriend told me to sit back down since I was making too much noise and was distracting him from making out with my wife whilst I watched the movie.
Lol there was one movie where you can clearly see he lost a bet or something cause he has to kiss a guy the whole fucking movie every scene. He fucking hated that role.
I must have watched this a couple dozen times, and this is the first time I noticed this: If you look at the screen when Guy puts on the glasses (0:33) you can see that he has normal stats (51 Health, 20 Armour, $187.02 cash), but when Dude puts them on (2:23) you can see his Health and Armour climb from 01 to Infinity, and his cash is 999,999,999,999,999. Nice little nod from the SFX guys to show what it's like to play with a hacked character.
You do realize that Free Guy is a Disney Movie, right? No other movie would be able to do this scene. The rights alone for just the Avengers and Star Wars music would balloon the film’s budget to astronomical proportions. Free Guy had a budget of $125 million. According to Director Shawn Levy, they sent a message to the Disney Lawyers asking to do this scene, and they wrote back and said, “Yes.” Levy said, “The merger gave us an opportunity to literally exploit $40 billion of IP in about 17 seconds, and I can’t imagine Disney would’ve said yes if they didn’t own the studio that was making the movie.”
Lets Be Honest, the Shield was one thing, but who hadnt dreamed of actually using a Lightsaber in their lives? Ryan Reynolds was really holding himself back from squealing like a fangirl in that moment
The fact that they used the gravity gun and portal gun in this movie was such a fun thing to see and unexpected. All the half life and portal fans were probably really happy when they saw it
@@carljohnson6183 when you realize every single thing in this world is a product the logic of this humor kinda falls flat. like the logic is “it’s lame they use branded things” but dude unless you are a nudist you are wearing branded things right now. Using a branded device to leave the comment. I know you don’t care but I don’t care either and wanted to share.
As someone who codes, I found Dude’s words to be especially hilarious. And of course Cap’s shield’s cameo, Cap, and a lightsaber was just the best ever. Haha
This movie is what happens when people who understand video games and game development write a movie! It was kind of weird at times, and kinda goofy, but in a good way. Plus, they got Ryan Reynolds in there so boom, haha. Loved this movie.
As a Gamer and developer, this movie blew me into dimensions that I can't explain or describe. It's like taking ready player one to the next level wow you guys, thanks for the likes 😁
LOL.. It's BS because of the scene of axing physical servers in that room. Games like that would have servers around the globe, most likely virtual servers instead of a rack full. Just a standard practice to keep data secured and backed up, also reduce regional lagging, etc
Chris Evans was funny, but the funniest part had to be Jodie Comer in “the real world” while they kissed in game. That cracked me up more than any film has in the last few years.
@TheSportsGuru Almost as soon as the movie started, my wife caught a car swapping colors in the background, like how a player would going through customization options.
They got all the best actors for this movie, even youtubers, Jacksepticeye, Lazarbeam, Ryan Reynolds, and Chris Evans all in one scene. Even got the shield, lightsaber, fortnite pickaxe, and the gmod physics gun
This movie was one of the most fun experiences I'd had in a cinema in quite some time. This scene in particular also makes me a little sad, as an Australian, to be reminded of some of the properties that will soon no longer receive physical media releases in my country.
When I first saw Chris Evans On that scene when Ryan Reynolds portaled the shield I was like "WHAT THE??" and all the sudden Evans appeared I was like "HEY ITS CHRIS EVANS!! HOLY SHIT" It was freaking awesome I was also like *Oh God I hope it wins an academy award* But unfortunately it didn't but I still love the movie
First time a heroic male character who happened to be white was allowed to wield a blue lightsaber with success since like...2005 Finn failed, Luke was just a projection, and Kylo was a bad guy, and ultimately failed.
Thank you for uploading this! My wife's son really enjoyed this scene and wouldn't stop talking about it for days. I unfortunately was unable to watch it in the cinema as I had to wait in the car as it was also a date night for my wife and her boyfriend.
- So I have an idea of using Cap's shield from the MCU and a lightsaber - Disney: No problemos, we own all that shit - Can we use the gravity gun from Half-Life 2 & the Portal gun? - Gaben: Sure, just buy 10 CSGO cases first
@@phil7865 considering it was blue it was either the super gravity gun or the physics gun from gmod that (by default) has the same skin and actually fires out a blue beam to pick stuff up
I remember clapping, chilling and laughing when Guy pull out shield and I cried out laughing when saw Chris Evans cameo. Also I really love when Guy pulled out lightsaber!
I still laugh and cry from shield, hulk-arm and sabre. Its just impossibly brilliant to come up with that. Great defense, greater attack and greatest finish.
The fact that at the end the dude is listening to the theme of the "Greatest American Hero" theme is absolutely amazing and it makes me feel so old for knowing what that show is.
Guy literally Marveled, used his med-kit as necessary and swiftly as possible, light-sabered, Fort-nited, G-Modded, Portaled, then music memed the crap out of the big guy with RGB loot. Best NPC ever.
I totally screamed when I saw that shield and screamed even louder when I saw Chris!! Sooo unexpected, I LOVED IT!!!! 😂😂👏🏼👏🏼 actual chills when that lightsaber came out! This whole clip is honestly the best part of the movie! ❤️
Fun fact: In Latin America, Chris Evans (0:40) and Ryan Reynolds are voiced by the same actor, José Antonio Macías, known as Pepe Toño Macías. (or as I call him "Moltres el Guajolote Macías").
