This is the first video of yours I’ve watched and I really appreciated how quickly you “got down to business” without a lot of chat about the weather, your pets, children, anniversaries, vacations, etc! 😅😅. Also appreciated how you left up pictures of the items while describing them so viewers could have time to get a really good look. Thank you!
I second the comment of @a.sobriquet6220....Videos that take 3-5 mins to introduce a subject just lose me so it was enjoyable to have you dive right in. The subject matter of free patterns out there is always appreciated and I enjoyed seeing some designer's works that were unfamiliar to me. Looking forward to more.
👋 Emily I just realized I hadn’t hit that subscribe button 😮 even though I’ve been watching your videos for a while now 🤷🏻♀️ I do always 👍 I’m glad I realized so just subscribed. Thanks again for an informative video with some cute free options. Some I knew but some I didn’t.
I’ve recently started getting knitting books at the local library, and there are actually some great modern ones. Another great resource for some wonderful free patterns!
Thank you for these, I love the Classic Ribbed hat. One of my favorite free sock patterns is Hermione’s Everyday Socks. I have also wanted to make one of the Shrugs not sure yet which one.
This is my first meeting with you and I instantly subscribed. I love some of your picks and your short and sweet descriptions. I would love if you did a tutorial for the peplum sweater and green cardigan. Based on your approach, I can imagine that you would be wonderful as an instructor. I am just beginning to make garments ie socks and sweaters. I am finding the instructional tutorials with so much talk can make the whole process so confusing. Thank you for your lovely approach.
Thank you for this feedback! I don’t typically do tutorial style videos, but I have found ones by very pink knits to be useful for specific techniques!
Thanks for this video Emily! I was wanting a pair of simple worsted weight mittens to go with my Oslo hat and the ones you shared fit the bill (and the pattern is free!). The Purl Soho ribbed hat also intrigues me. I was planning on knitting the OLE hat & OLE mittens by Susanne Müller, but might reconsider.
I have made the purl soho ribbed hat and its awesome! Made it in some sandes garne sunday for my mom and it hasn't even pilled in almost 2 years of heavy use - highly recommend!
I really enjoy your videos, I'm just learning. But I don't understand how to get the free patterns you mentioned. I don't see the link you talk about. I'd be so appreciative if you could explain what to do.😊
Of course! This is a great question. If you are not already familiar with Ravelry, it is primarily used by knitters and designers as a marketplace for purchasing knitting and crochet patterns. There are also thousands of free patterns on this platform. You can search by dozens of filters related to gauge, construction, techniques, and even exact yarns of interest! A user can also make a “bundle” which is a page with a collection of patterns that fall under a theme that has been determined by the user. That’s what I have done for this video, so all the patterns can be found under one link. That doesn’t mean, however, that you have to GET all of these patterns. The first link in the description box should take you to this bundle. Hope that’s helpful!
I loved the idea of all the free patterns. Saw they got a new collection of free patterns for fall at Drops too. I love also to see more how people style their knits. Looking fwd to see you soon at your channel again. Love your videos and they're so inspiring to see❤❤❤
Love this idea of free pattern round ups! My very first adult sweater I ever knit was Pistachio Saffron and it’s free. Also, a popular, but one of my favorites is Autumn League. Also an Espace Tricot pattern, Warm Up, I wear a ton.
Thank you for this amazing bundle of free patterns - The Augustins sweater is amazing ( I have her book and love her aesthetic ) I did not know there were free patterns on Järbo so I will definately go have a look. The Ceder Point as well as the PHD Candidate are amazing I think I have to free some space on my to-knit-list for them 😁thank you once again and greetings from Denmark were it finally looks like autum is here on this lovely first day in October - Malene
