My favorite color is orange 🍊 and has been for many years. Every 10 or so years, it becomes the color of the moment and I am always here for it. I need to stock up on orange stuff while it's popular!

I've been loving actual color. I used to be a gray/black girly and now I definitely feel you with the color. I still like a nice little muted color, but I'm feeling way more color in my wardrobe too!

Oh my goodness your dress perfectly suits you color wise and I am so happy for you that it is progressing with a fabric that you love. Your color mood boards are exceptional and just what I am looking for in my Fall colors choices (it’s my favorite season but I won’t experience true Fall weather till mid November). @@highfiberknits yes! We do have four seasons, but it just isn’t the same. The leaves don’t turn brilliant colours. We do get the pretty light and crisp feel, though. I’ll have to take some nice footage this year. ❤️

It’s so fun to see your inspiration for this fall. I’m planning on making Andrea Mowry’s Traveler hoodie in emerald green and another in a neutral color, and a simple raglan sweater in either gold or navy.

That was lovely! You reminded me of your videos about the spring greens and, possibly you, the denim blues too . . . My Spring green leaf yoke sweater is still on the needles beside my bed. A pistachio single crochet boxy top from 18 minths ago comes out for a week or two every month or so and is it very very close to finished (but very boring) And my denim blue, 4 th attempt, much modified, Jessie Maed sleeveless top is beside me as l type . . . Something tells me l shouldn't be watching this video, yet, and remembering the Olive Green two ply 100% wool in my stash . . .

First of all....we STAN Tswift! I am Club #waitlist. I love petrol blues, and my orange would have to be more blue/red/orange...but I'm into the vibe! Fall and Winter are not my favourites...I'm happy when I can go out with just shorts and a tshirt; but I dress my best dark academia when nights are longer and temperatures drop. I look forward to seeing your final decisions.

I'm working with Mole right now in the Kfo cotton merino, and it's scratching this warm brown itch! I'm making the Cherry sweater by Midori Hirose. I'm holding it double with a third strand of a linen-silk blend, and the resulting fabric feels soooo luxurious and perfect for fall. Last fall in my holst order I got their mandarine in the wool-silk and the Oxford in the supersoft which is a dark blue grey. I feel like I saw the future, now my color choices are "on trend" 😂 I love your mood board videos, thank you!!!

We also just got Taylor Swift tickets this week …. New Orleans October 2024. My brain is nonstop thinking about what I can knit! I have an idea for a dress but I can’t find just the right pattern so might have to design my own. And also really thinking about knitting the folklore cardigan too. Can’t wait to see what you do!

Combining your “Tomato Soup Core” and your love of soup, try Baked Feta Soup by Justin Sullivan. I made it the other day with homemade baguette bread and croutons, and it is absolutely delish!! Love your color boards!

Here in coastal NC, we are still having 90+ temps with that expected to continue through September (toss in the occasional tropical storm). I have not yet abandoned summer knitting.

Question about the Purl Soho Santalina. Does the fabric have knitted recovery, or does the weight of cotton/bamboo make it quite heavy? I love the look of ribs and cables, but I just can’t wear wool/mohair/alpaca any more because I’m too warm all the time. Summer yarns have been wonderful, but I don’t know how well they work in ribbed/cabled fabrics. Thanks!

Such a great question! I’m not expecting much snap back from the fabric since it is all plant Fiber. I’m only a few inches into the top, but so far the ribbons looks nice! I will certainly report more on the yarn and the garment when it’s done 😄

@@highfiberknits I haven’t tried yet. I did a big wardrobe re-evaluation recently, and realized that one of my unofficial uniforms (turtleneck or cable sweater and jeans) hasn’t been working for me even in the dead of winter because URF thermostat reset. So I abandoned all my knitting WIPs and switched to summer projects - which I admit I didn’t even know was a thing. I am a slow but careful knitter, and finally finished the first project since this moment of clarity. I wanted to do a tank with negative ease next. I’ll definitely look at cotton merino or merino linen to make my “winter” sweater, but even in Toronto now I’m still melting. :) I’ll await your report on the bralette with keen interest.
