This was the craziest movie ever for me when it came out😗Cause I was like "oh they are just really good friends" but like... if this was supposedly a girl and a guy it would be "oh they must like each other" therefore gay ppl are real Makoharu endgame😋 !! Cause what do you mean Mako is confused on "Do I like swimming or do I like just being with haru?😧"😭 lmao. Then with the angst and the swimming scene too 😮‍💨tell me you have feelings for someone without telling me 🙄and then Mako fr telling us right after "I love haru and swimming!☺" 😭lmaoo !! silliest movie ever I love it ! 10/10 video btw ! ❤💚💙

Thanks for this video. As a MakoHaru fan, I've always been frustrated seeing their friendship blossom into a deep relationship only for it to be set aside for HaruRin fanservice that makes me wonder whatever happened to the chemistry between these two. Their friendship is so beautiful... and they needn't be a boy x girl pair to prove to everyone that at some point, they seem to be more than "just friends."😍

I love this haruka x makoto character.. and seeing a similar parallel in Oblivion Battery duo really tickled me and made me so happy

I like harukas character.

This movie is so intense. To me, Makoto was feeling so down by seeing Haru suffering because Rin left... it's like he was feeling like he wasn't important enough to help Haru feel better again, even though hes been there all along (while Rin spent such a short time with them, even if it was important and intense). The face he makes when Haru tells him to join the basketball club feels like "are you seriously giving up on swimming with me because Rin left? But I’m still here, why can't that be enough?"). Then he starts questioning his own motives and feelings and I guess, as a kid, it was hard seeing his best friend (and probably his first love, cause yeah) distancing himself from him, when all he wanted was to be with Haru... so I feel like that's why Makoto pulled himself away from Haru too. When Haru says " Makoto is Makoto", I feel like that means so much to him, cause it's like Haru is telling him that yeah, he's enough, he has a place in his life that's irreplaceable, no matter what happens. And I believe when they’re swimming together and Makoto stretches his arms to help Haru go up, it’s like he's saving him, showing him there's still reason to keep on going, that what happened with Rin shouldn’t put an end to it. And when Haru says of course they'd swim together, it's when Haru too realizes what he's been doing, and that he still has the most important things there with him: his love for swimming and for his best friend. Makoto, once again, saved Haru. They do so much for each other, and it's unfair what the production did to the two of them at the end of the series, on the two last movies. I'm not even just talking about them being together romantically (which yeah, i think they should be), but about their relationship in general, which became more broken and distant imo. Like they didn't have all that story and eternal meaning to each other.

i won't lie and say that rivals to lovers (or to be exact, friends to enemies to lovers?) tropes are not attractive to me, but with free, haru and rin were never even close to what makoto and haru were. Makoto has always been haru's home and he continues to be in Tokyo. Always present, always loving and tender makoto. the stability he brought to haru's life and heart could not be compared to the erratic, hot and cold relationship with rin. idk for me at least, in this case, childhood friends are superior
