I love how the Renaissance fair one directly references the pirate song and the bike one references the sub compact. These ads were ahead of their time as far as being self aware.

"Now I'm findin' out how bad reality hurts" the flow in most of these commercials is low key dope. Even the ones that are just alright are still entertaining and/or catchy. The writers and company killed it with these commercials.

When I was in high school, instead of studying for my tests, I used to memorize these commercials for my classmates.... I guess I should have studied lol.

I always wished these guys would come out with thier own CD back in the day. I would've bought it, and my friends would've too. It's 2022 now, and these guys still rock!

The years 2023 and I still randomly sing these.

The pirate one came over the radio when I was on a field trip in 7th grade and the whole bus sang it word for word.

I was sad when they stopped the jingles, god those were the catchiest things on tv.

These commercials were awesome. And they self reference...they all tell an ongoing story. This was an actual band...I don't know if they wrote the songs but if they did it's even more impressive because they used so many different styles of music

Was talking to my 13 year old son about Netflix and commercials and I said “yea back in the day we even had favorite commercials” And I literally started belting this out and didn’t realize I still knew all the words except for the “my posse getting laughter at” I couldn’t remember that one part. So I came looked for the commercials to let me son hear them 😂

They showed up for the first time in the first song, and in the second we see them going through the struggles of artists. In song three they're riding their high, and this peaks in song four - they're at their height. Song five they're starting to fall a bit but still have their dedicated fans. In song six, they've fallen off. Nobody remembers them. Song seven they've become content with the ups and downs of stardom, and have accepted who they are as people. They're alright with where they are and where they're going. And then song eight hits. You don't have to ride the rollercoaster if you get off. They get back together because the music isn't about the fame. They crash back into the scene with the greatest return ever seen by a band. They sing because they want to sing. And i don't know what Song 9 is. They're dead or some shit idk, and yes, it is that deep.

Was this really 7 years ago? Apparently 11-year-old me thought it was cool to learn them all. The other day i started singing the rock star one without remembering where it came from. Now I'm here. Nice.
