You have amazing set of dreadlocks.I am almoust 2 years into my own jurney. And I absolutely love how exited, passionate and enthusiastic you are about everything you talk about, keep the good work up,much love
Just started my freeform dreadlocks and ive been watching you're videos for a while now great content man! Anyways it's been about a week and i already have dreads forming but only on the left side of my head and some on the back of my head. At this point im just trusting the process and im loving it! Im in it for the journey, I've always wanted a natural way of going about taking care of my hair super excited to see where this journey takes me im not super religious but i do believe in God. Thanks for the great videos man much love!
I was expecting some pictures of your evolution, because I've been thinking in freeform but it's tough the society is very repellent to the dread way of life
i started freeforming almost 5 months ago, i was initially just using cold water to rinse but have started using bentonite or kaolin clay for washing my hair if it's gotten any build up and the clay works beautifully! makes me feel connected to our ancestors
For me it's a judgement call based on the current society we live in. My hair is past my shoulders atm. I have no personal conflict with some epic avatar dreads, but on a social level we will be put into a "box" where the lower consciousness individual thinks they understand our ideology and metaphysics when in reality they are just projecting their own consciousness onto us. Thus, dreads become an instant "you're just a ___blank___" to the general public. Maybe it's more conducive to the empowerment of the lower consciousness collective to retain a more polished appearance to not be immedianently written off. Then our light would be able to sneak into their consciousness instead of having most people turn away from that "crazy religious dread hippie". I see the validity in leading by the highest example as well. This is not a question for you, but really for myself. Can we light more candles from inside the system or outside the system? Idk. I belive both paths are valid. Maybe I'd be that dude wearing a top hat with my dreads concealed inside lol
everybody looks at me also I have beginner dreads 2 1/2 years I began with crochet and now Let it go freeform I did it to be more myself nomather People think
Yo I need to do this, I’m growing my hair right now and everyone is telling me to cut it!! Im not cutting it, shit is everywhere and I don’t give a fuck. But my hair is thin and very ginger. idk how to do this while going to college. (Parents are kinda making me) It’s kinda crazy I’m coming across this video.
I love it brother! 🙏 🙏 🙏 3 things: 1: You resemble Abe Lincoln in your driver's license. 2: You have the same birthday as my son. 3: Do you feel a connection to the #5 at all? I was born in April 27th, my son born May 5th. I've always felt a connection with him that always incorporated the #5 in it somehow. Maybe it's because we're both Taurus's.
Hey brother I have watched all of your video's and I love all the thoughts you are experiencing. As I know you are very fond of lord shiva that you talk about in your every video.Actually I'm from nepal and we Nepalese are very much religious towards our culture and tradition. I'm a hindu based nepali family and we follow lord shiva as our ritual. You are on your path to be yogi. What I recommend you is first of all do a research about our country , our ethnicity , religious factors. It is also believed that lord shiva has created a lot of karma on our land and a lot of stories are based on lord shiva on our mountain. People from india come on our country to get a blessing and for puja in pashupatinath temple(temple of lord shiva) so for your path I reccomend for once do visit our country and you will find your spiritual path.
Very cool hair. I respect your commitment to the journey. It's true that dreadlocks did not originate from Rastafari. In fact, according to my research, the rastas actually got the concept from Indian sadhus, who were brought to Jamaica to work as indentured servants, along with several other aspects of rastafari, including vegetarianism. However, not to nitpick but you are mispronouncing the name. They are called "jatas" with an A, not "jettas". Also, did you say that jatas go back tens of thousands of years in Hindu culture? That would be inaccurate because Hindu culture is only around 5,000 years old and the earliest reference to jatas in the Vedas is from around 1500 BC.
Hey I just thought of an idea to help keep lint out if it's a burden for you:( You could get some silk sheets and bed set:) also very comfortable and great for the skin ~ doesn't trap oils n stuff like that
What about Christian scriptures have you always been Hindu? The reason i ask is because samson accredited his strength and power to his hair. Something i just wanted to share. Much love brother.
Start training your hair by washing it once to 2x a week with baking soda dissolved in water. It wont leave any residue on your hair and it will get it super clean. I use it s shampoo even when I'm not locking my hair
We have the same hair type. I have long hair on the top about shoulder length and shaved sides/back. Should I cut it all to an even length before i start the journey?
Talking about myths right.😂. . . Dreadlocks myths. . . I&I was told a story as a child by my siblings and their friends that Rastafari mahn is growing dreadlocks because they think Jah "God" cannot take a baldhead into Zion "Heaven" because Jah lift I mahn by the hair into heaven. ❤️💛💚 . Crazy right .😂. Great video mahn. . . Natty dreadlocks.
Dread means to fear and some people like the fact that some may fear their hair cus they know it means truly being free and that comes with power which is why those trying to control us fear them
