Her locs are the equivalent to I basically did nothing, even the color, honestly it’s cool asf because I’d expect something that looks this good to require a lot more maintenance
You’re locs are so dope 🤟🏽 I don’t mean to sound weird or anything but I can sit here and listen to you talk for awhile. Just soaking up the knowledge and admiring your locs. Thanks for the video!!!
I adore the look of your locs, they look like they keep getting longer. I’m jelly but I’ll get long locs soon! And thanks for the long in depth video I need all the advice I can get, I’ll be a month locked on the 14th.
Love you're videos ❤ I'm almost 5 months into freeforming, with mostly straight hair, as long as you ditch the brush/comb and rinse with cold water, everything else nature does for you. I also ditched any hair products like natural shampoos because i was scared of products even claiming no residue will still on a micro scale leave some sort of residue and i didn't want to worry about build up or air drying problems. Guys, the best way not just for locks but even washing detangled hair is to wash with CLAY. I've used bentonite and kaolin clay so far and they both have treated my body and hair beautifully. All One, All Love
My locs are thigh length. After wrapping my hair with a towel to get moisture out, i wrap my hair in a white t-shirt until my hair is no longer dripping. Then i let them air dry, adding a small amount Tea Tree oil. I use only clear shampoo. 😊
Thanks for the simple routine. I more or less have been doing this for a few months now. The length of my locs have combined , & seems like the ends will take a while longer. I’m just getting used to the look of no retwist / new growth,😭
Your haiir is SOOO beautiful and so are you! I personally get dandruff from the fragrance in some products ! When I had semi freeform locs I also didnt experience dandruff back then!
Your Locs are on point! And, this video describes the process so fun and simple to maintain! Thank you so much for this video. I have been growing my Locs 3 yrs and 5 mos. now. I can appreciate what you are saying from all your experience.
Nice vid! I recently started my third set of locs, but I never went the Freeform route. This video helped me a lot and answered a lot of stuff, that I didn’t even consider. Thanks!
Did it work for you? I also want to start my locs journey with a sponge but I‘m a little bit afraid that it will now work and I will lock stupid 😩 I‘m living in germany and I don’t have black people around me to talk about dreadlocks 🫠
@@RTCschoko Looool, I am also from Germany!! And it worked pretty well for me I have to say. The worst stage is probably in the beginning, relatively speaking. I personally never minded my hair looking, the way it did, because it is all part of the process. After 7 month I gotta say, that my hair looks pretty nice now. Getting many compliments for it even. What Iwould recommend though is to maybe slightly manipulate your hair if you are uncomfortable with the way it locs up. You know, just seperating your hair n stuff, nothing major. hope this could help!
Wow, very much appreciate this and you. I initially was going to start using mini braids (scared of unraveling, but I have thick 4C hair lol. I’m starting tonight!
You're beautiful jesus and thank you for the great information. I love your locs . I had locs using the twisting with gel method for 5 years and had to cut em when I went in the Navy (I donated them tho) . Now Im growing them back and started them with the sponge method this time around. I didn't take my locs or hair in general that serious when I first started but by the end I was in love with them and did everything I could to take care of them, I was so heartbroken when I had to cut em but I feel like this time Im taking way better care of my hair from the jump. Im only a week in but Im loving it. Again, thanks for this video hope you have a great day or night wherever you are :) .
Love this video, it's beyond helpful. I'm going to start with the sponge method. You're a gorgeous woman & yet you do kinda favor Terence Trent D'arby 🤗
I love how your locs look amber i hope mines get like that in August right now i am in the teenage stage right now my cousin wife started my locs last year in February going get my last retwist in March this year after that no more retwist I will let my locs freefrom from there
Great video, I watched it beginning to end and it’s given me the boost to keep going. Wash days are my most stressful days, but I feel better after watching this one😅. You only used the sponge once? I find myself using the mini-tennis racquet device daily. So I’ll switch to the sponge and just do it once. Thanks again for the advice!❤
Your locs are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥, and your personality is hella chill……😎…..Quick question, how do you add the overlay words to your videos? I can’t figure out how to spot add them how you do (put the words wherever you want)….
July 22, 2020. Hardly any maintanance so they're very lumpy and bumpy. I've noticed them getting lighter from the sun as well but not nearly as light as yours. Do you think that making my own salt water spray will work to lighten them up a bit more? I really like the natural ombre that i have going on and would like them a tad bit lighter.
i wouldn’t use jbco daily because it’s so thick. but olive oil or grape seed oil with water in a spray bottle would be good for daily use! jbco is good on your scalp once or twice a week for growth and thickness.
Your locs are cool! Honestly I think I messed mine up cause I started off with crochet and kept twisting the loose hairs around my roots...I'm 1 year and 3 months in and they are matured they arent as long yet but the way they're growing....Idk man mine sucks they're super skinny and not growing properly should I start over?
i wouldn't start over but i'd stop messing with them for at least 6 months. you can combine some of you want so they're not so thin. the roots will be thicker and healthier if you don't manipulate them too much. just give them some time and space! lol
Hi Good afternoon. I watched some of your videos on RU-vid and I was wondering, concerning the hair sponge. Should I use it daily or just once and let my hair grow and what part of the sponge did you use? Thank you.
i personally only used the sponge one time in order to start my parts. it gave them a starting point and sections to work with. the locs also combined because i did not continuously keep them separated. if you want to use the sponge more than once, you can. it may make them stay in their sections better, but it’s all up to you and your preference:)
i only sponged one time to start my locs. to fix flat locs i’d personally make sure you get them sponged thoroughly all the way down to the root so they’re sturdy. spray them with plain water every morning then towel dry or air dry
