Freeplay: Smallsword with a buzz

After building the "electric smallswords", i.e. épées, with buzzboxes (more about them here: • Electric Épée For HEMA? ), I took them for a spin with Oliver Janseps from Mispeldorn.
We just tried to see who would reach 15 touches first, but counting is hard as you can see.
Also it's interesting to see how the buzzbox sometimes didn't count touches we thought were viable - and vice versa.

I would actually recommend these over the PBT boxes with the body cable we also looked into, but that is a topic for another video :) - Peter

It is a little fiddly to do the wiring, but other than that, is is pretty much plug and play and there are good tutorials online. If I managed it, I am sure you can too :) - Peter

Hm, es gab keine Absprache, aber es kann gut sein, dass die Kamera da mit reingespielt hat. Ein weiterer Grund weswegen ich es von meiner Seite nicht forciert habe ist, dass ich Oliver nicht die Gelegenheit geben wollte mich in meiner Bewegung in meinem Tempo zu erwischen. Es gab jetzt auch nicht wirklich schlechteren Grund oder Sonne in die ich ihn hineindrücken oder hineinlocken hätte wollen. Vorteilhaftere Winkel habe ich eher versucht über die Klingenarbeit zu schaffen. - Peter
