Freeway Tour: Hartford, CT 

Hi Jim, Thanks for posting this video. My brother lives in Manchester and travels to Hartford everyday to work. I am sitting here in Bangalore, India; and showed my aged parents how their son travels to work daily. They enjoyed the ride and have given their appreciation to you. Keep up the good work Jim.

I really enjoyed driving around Hartford; I can't recall seeing a better designed freeway network in New England. A good mix of modern and historic freeways. This was fun to watch. On a side and unrelated note, I thought it was really sad when Hartford and the entire state of Connecticut lost their only sports team in the Hartford Whalers. Is their former arena still standing today?

Thanks, that is the exception to the rule, New England is not very sprawled/spread out in general.

Actually I-95 is 50 miles south of here, but yes from Boston to Washington is quite the stretch of population density, aka "The Megalopolis"

No, just I-91 north passing through on the way to Albany, got a nice tour done there.

Thanks Queston on most derections from Boston to NY city why they want you to go out on mass pike west to I-84 w to Hartford then I-91 south back to I-95 why not use I-93 south to I-95 south (it will cost you less, and just one shot of I-95 south throught Providence, and CT coast to NY city) insted of going out the coast.

Hartford is the home of UConn that plays basketball at that arena.
