I’ve got an expensive plane for 5 years ago to worried to fly it...but u guys have motivated me..who cares If it crashes and burns...I’ve already got 5 years out of it with no crashes..lol...u really make someone wanna go fly Even if you are alone...thank u for doing what u do you guys are amazing...
I just got this plane today for $80 new in the box and was not suprised that searching a video for it that Pilot Robert has one, Eh!😁😆 If you move that G spot back a little it will not land so fast and probably handle better in the turns. I can't wait to fly it since it has been 2 weeks of me on the couch healing from hip torn labrum surgery. Unique plane.that you don't ever see modeled. Was loved by the pilots and ground troops too. My pilot friend was in Vietnam and has an army Jeep too so it will be a good suprise when I show up with this. Always funny and informative honest opinions of our great planes in this wonderful hobby. Keep up the perfect zooming and flying. 😁
“I'm flying towards you, look at this viewers! Look what it looks in the black paint! SHHOOOOOOOOOSHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! ... Have you taken your medicine?!" LMAO. Robert is like a big crazy kid. Aren't we all sometimes? ;)
Watched video and BOUGHT IT! Just like i did with 70mm f16. You turned me into an edf guy robert. My wifes not happy with you. Just ordered freewing a4.....we just wont tell her lol..u guys are an inspiration keep it up
I am going to be contacting my lawyers to see if I can sue you guys. Since subscribing to your channel I get nothing accomplished because all I do is watch your videos. Great job, you make unboxing and maiden flights fun to watch. Sky Pilot 420 out,😎🇺🇸
The reason these little guys yaw to the left or right is because the vertical stabilizer or ventral fin is not perfectly strait. Look at the plane head on and see if you stabilizer is strait up and down and not sideways. Great flight Robert. You are a great pilot. His legs look great captain blas.
Way to go guys ! I have a little 55mm fan F-35 that I bought from Banana Hobby quite a few years ago that has the same kind of servo setup. Surprisingly, it works ! Cheers ! 🍻
Thanks P. And to tell the truth not even one plane that we have shown by now was bad for me. I really love them all. If I can fly it I love it... Cheers my friend, Robert
Another cool 64mm added to collection that’s for sure. Looks like a very pleasant Summer Sunday morning in Slovenia 🇸🇮 guys. Hope you enjoyed your coffee, I’d love to join you guys for a morning coffee one day 🤓
Oh yeah D. Iam really happy that it went OK. And its nice here in the morning. Maybe someday we will have one together in our hometown beside river Krka... Cheers my friend, Robert
I took out the EDF and converted it to a pusher because it was just too sluggish. The last time I speed-tested it I got 116 mph out of it.(187 kmh). It looks like a flying rocket!
Normally I fly in the evening, but this year its been early morning flying, except my eyes, that sun was burning my eyes out, gheesh! Hard on the eyes. I am replacing the motor and ESC in my Apprentice. I cannot part with my first ever rc Transmitter operated plane. No more line control for me, lol. I sold all the other Apprentice I had but kept the pontoons. Its an awesome trainer but a good flyer as far as time in the air. With heat radiating into the atmosphere in the evening, I can shut off my throttle and watch it just hang in the sky. Not many planes can do that. I didnt think Robert was ever going to get that plane in the air. I know he loves to talk but hey! Glad he finally threw it. I flew mu UMX Waco this morning, time to dust off the Big Yellow one again.
Oh yeah R. Apprentice is very beautiful plane. We just cant go away some planes. They grow hard to our hearts. I love them all. And like you said evening flight is much better then in the morning. Sun is just to bright and its hard to see the bird. And I really had here a few times problem when I couldnt see how the plane was turned. It ended well and Iam happy that it is still in one piece. And like you said I just love to babble. Its even more relaxing for me to talk then to fly on the camera ;-) Big salute to you my friend and happy landings. Greetings from Slovenia, Robert
3.80 volts....PERFECT!!! Great maiden, flight and video guys! We fly in the mornings with the sun in our eyes! WooHoo. Great stuff guys!!!! I too like to take pictures and video. COFFEE......Rick
I just got my freewing f22 raptor the 3s version I will upgrade it to 4s at later date but only just started with the edf’s can’t wait to maiden it I was looking at these ones to lol I can’t stop buying planes either it’s such a great hobby and you guys give great reviews
A sexy looking plane flown very well and filmed wonderful even in the early morning Sun....Congrats to Pilot Robert and Capt Blaz for another great video!!! Cheers!
Beautiful looking plane you are a great pilot Robert and Captain Blaz that sould have been hard to film and you have done a great job once again. Many Thanks, Andrew
Thanks Andrew. It wasnt easy to do two maiden one after another but the time was perfect and we had an hour to spare... Big salute to Australia. Cheers my friend, Robert
Cheers on a great flight. The F8 flies the same but will slow down more. Looks just a sexy in the air oh yeah. If you move the Cg back the 105 wont land as fast. Mine wobbles in flight as well(unless no wind) Another great video.
Thanks Rob. Cant wait to test F8. And like you said about this baby. I just didnt want to crash it and there were one or two time when I wasnt sure anymore how the plane is turned. But it will be better on the second flight. I hope ;-) Cheers my friend, Robert
When I saw F-105 in the title, I immediately thought "Thud" which is what it was affectionately called. I just looked up 'why' and it was because the TV marionette puppet of the '50s called Howdy Doody (which I used to watch) had a rival (marionette) called Chief Thunderthud. I had forgotten about him. Richard in Michigan
Great job pilot Robert! You did a great job controlling that little devil. It was very nice looking in the air!!Not too easy to record Captain Blaz, but you did another great job!! I need to get more experience soon as an edf is what I want soon.Cheers my brothers!
every video i am pissing in my pants listening to you both you could make a tv show and it would be the best comedy ever love you guys from Australia your Maltese friend Andrew Reece over and out
Good work guys. I think the quality of autofocus shows how visible the aircraft is in flight. This plane is often out of focus..but it’s a good looking scale modell and flies very well. The real plane was a Boeing 767 from Air Canada Rouge and came from Toronto direct to Zagreb and flew there at 7: 11h, was so wel zoomed in that I could recognize it !! Well done Captain Blaz!👍
Thanks Louis. And like you said I was also zooming very much too see the plane ;-) And that Boeing was great extra to the video ;-) Cheers my friend, Robert
Thanks Scott a lot. It was exptemely thrilling to fly this baby. Not the bird to just go and relax ;-) But I love it and it was fun. Oh yeah... Cheers my friend, Robert
Thanks also Robert for the comment you left on the video of the Horton bv 38 , i might just hold you to that one day , i would love to visit your beautiful country my friend , lets see what the future holds . Thanks again my friend , all the best ........
I know how you feel about hand launching small edfs. My first edf was a Stinger 64 and the jet was a blast to fly but a real pain to launch. All of its crashes was due to wacky hand launches. Good flight guys.
Thanks for the great video of this little rocket pilot Robert and captain Blaz. I love these freewing planes. Ive got to practice more so i can get me one of these great little jets. Fantastic flying and filming guys. Cant wait for the next video. Take care guys.
Robert Petrinčič i don't think you'll crash any of these 64mm planes. You guys are exelent pilots . Great information for us viewer's. Thank you guys. Have a good week.
Perfect launch Robert ! Looks lovely right a good EDF then start on. I think if you choose .. your A380 can be set like this with the synchronization of wing surface. I will set normal but yes , it can be set like this as well. Thanks Robert & Capt. Blaz for the information here
Thanks Mike. I really love the thrill of hand launch. And this baby is great but not so easy to fly. And you have just reminded me about A380. I must assemble that bird soon... Cheers my friend, Robert
Like you said R. The bird looks amazing but its not so easy to fly it. Its easy to loose the feeling how the plane is turned... Big salute to you my friend. Cheers, Robert
Another great vido and the tips are much appreciated. I have the E-flite UMX A10 which I'v yet to fly and this will help. Sometimes its a little confusing on the vido as to which is brighter - zee sun or Roberts legs. But hey the zooming was great under the circumstances. Thanks guys. Be safe.
Thanks Russ. And UMX A10 will be much easier to fly becouse it does have the gyro in... Cheers my friend and good luck on your maiden... Cheers, Robert
Pilot Robert, at 7 and half minutes in when you are showing the viewers the elevator up trim, the left elevator is slightly higher then the right. Maybe this was causing the Thunderchief to bank to the left you said? Also with the swept wing planes, always a little more of the sexy throttle. I had a F=86 Sabre that would wobble in the air, if you slowed down too much. I liked the P-15 too. It reminds me of the Horten 229, which when the gear are retracted is super sexy! *Salute*
Like you said Jacen. Left elevator was a little more up and I think that that was the problem. But once trimmed it was OK. But you easy loose the feeling how the plane is turned especially in the bright sun... And I cant wait to try Sabre. I want that baby for a very long time... Cheers my friend, Robert
Your videos are great fun and I enjoy the models you show and your flying. Always waiting for a new 'episode' ! When filming small planes like the thunderchief your cam sometimes seems to have focussing problems. To prevent these problems you could change the camera settings from "auto focus" to "fix focus infinity" (far away) before the plane takes of. Maybe this would solve the focus problem.
I just want to let you guys know I watch a lot of people on RU-vid with their videos and they are pretty entertaining but I don't know I think you guys have a lot of people beat on entertaining your RU-vid followers the guy with the hat on I don't know his name I like him he's pretty funny and entertaining that jet you guys are flying it can't be very challenging to fly because that Jet doesn't have a prop on it and that can make it very challenging to fly you guys are doing a good job good stuff
Thanks R for such kind words. That is me with the hat. Pilot Robert ;-) And we just want to show to the world how much fun this hobby is. And all that in a little different way... Big salute to you from Slovenia. Cheers my friend, Robert
The F-105 flew just as I expected, laterally a little unstable but the thin section airfoil and sweepback all add up to make it fly this way,for speed on the real aircraft sacrifices had to be made on such a machine and when scaled down to model size it is all a compromise to make it handle well, but all in all it flew well within those restraints,a dead stick landing would need careful flying keeping the nose down to keep the flying speed up,the F-105 is typical of what they called 'The Century Fighters' large fuselages with relatively small wing areas,it is a spectacular machine and looks really good in the air over your airfield. That looked like a Boeing 787 overhead which made a nice touch in your video, early morning filming can mean the quality of light is a little on the silhouette dark side but adds to the spectacle in my opinion, please keep promoting model flying as you are doing you already have a captive audience enjoying the work of the two unique brothers the test pilots of Slovenia, thank you.
Like you said Angel. The baby looks great but its not so easy to fly. But now trimmed it should be a little easier on the second flight... And thanks for such kind words. We wanted from the beginning that we film this great, great hobby in a little different way. And fun is the first word that comes to my mind ;-) Cheers my friend, Robert
A nose heavy plane well always fly a tail heavy plane is looking for some where to crash! A tip my grandfather Taught me 22 years ago when I started flying! Love the videos! Going to buy Lippish p15 now because of your video! Thank you for making my Decision... oh yea!!
Like you said Jeff. Tail heavy plane is dissaster waiting to happen. Nose heavy you can still fly and with EDFs its perfect. And I can tell you that you will love Lippisch very much. Just dont forget 2mm up elevator if you will fly with 1800mAh 3S baterrie and you will have great fun. And dont fly to far away. We will film the second video with P15 with lights on to see if they will help for better orientation of the bird. I think that it will be great. Good luck on your maiden my friend. Cheers, Robert
Iam thinking now that it is time for the second flight with 1.6m MIG15 on our runway. The bird is still waiting for the second flight and we dont have to go to horse tracks this time. We can enjoy dusk flight here...
Hey Norman, would you believe that I had one 1.4m wingspan. Great and fun plane but we didnt film back then. I had many, many planes that werent filmed... But maybe I will get another... Cheers my friend, Robert
Oh yeah. I bought it on HobbyKing and it was really one beautiful plane. But flying it was very interesting experience and different from other planes...
I haven't seen a 1.3m Gee Bee anywhere - I'd love to know what make it was !!! ... I know they are interesting to fly, I have two of them, a UMX and a "Great Planes" with just under 1M wingspan. Love it! I'm new to RC flying and I'm learning on them. Sort of like - " If you can fly this, you can fly anything ... " hahahaha. It's tough but I love the challenge.
Thanks G. It really wanted to go to the left very hard. But like you said now trimmed it will be much better on the second flight. Cheers my friend, Robert
I understand but the bird is going to be here for a long time and to break one habit is to start another and that is Flying take care mate Because we want you around for a long time eh
Very interesting with the setup as a flying wing. Is it possible to set it up normally with adding more servos? I'd be curious to see what would happen. Anyway - great flyink, great babblink and great filmink! Love your style, you guys are truly unique! And nice to hear a nice, smooth introduction again. Don't listen to Captain Blaz when he tells you to change your intro and then you screw it up... HAHAHAHA!!! We want maximum babblink!
Love your channel I jest bought this jet and I don't like the set up to. So I made it a 4 channel jet if you would like to see it I put it on my RU-vid channel it a 1 minute short will do the maiden flight when the weather get better here I also made the F-8 crusader a 4 channel and it flies amazing I also use a 4s setup in both
John Kelinske, I was wrong. It must be a B757. The winglets mean it isn’t a 787, A330 or A350. The white paint makes it look like a wide body, but that must be my 70-year old eyes fooling me.
I think it was finally actually identified as a 767. I had a minor friendly disagreement with a fellow model guy over the 787 a few years ago. I told him I didn't like the name: Dreamliner. Reminded me too much of "Screamliner" , or "Oh my gawd, we're going in!-liner". His wife worked for Boeing and he sent me a nice brushed aluminum coffee mug with the plane logo on it that they gave out at the debut ceremony. I still have it.
I absolutely hated this plane, your maiden went much better than mine. I should have tried using more travel in the the rear control surfaces than the ailerons
Like you said 7, this bird is really not something to just go on the runway and relax. But it is thrilling and a lot of chalenge. But still I love P15 much more... Cheers my friend, Robert
Thanks my friend for such kind words. This baby is really great but dont fly to far away becouse its really hard to see how it is turned. But like I said great flyer.
Morning flights can be tricky with the bright sun. Maybe you can change your flight pattern to the right of the sun. Fly around that perfectly shaped little tree? Capt. Blaz, I don't know why but silver planes are hard see and film. How was the coffee and cake or donuts?
Unless it is highly polished, silver or aluminum has the same color value and reflectance as light gray. Very difficult to see against a sky background. The US military and Russians also found out in the 1930s that silver dope actually makes an excellent snow camo. The US used orange or red-orange paint on wing and tail areas for natural metal or aluminum dope finish aircraft operating in areas like Alaska or Greenland to aid in locating them if forced down.
I'm runnninng Jenny !!! I didn't know where I was going, but I waaasss runnninng !!! It almost sounds like a real turbine. Cool plane, and nice landing!!! Is your name pronounced like Petrinchich ? Just wanted to know, so when I give you guys a shout out again, I remember your last name and get it right this time✈️
Robert Petrinčič I have the 64mm that i put a gyro in but have not had the chance to fly it. The 80mm is a jump in price for battery and the plane. Good idea to go with the cheaper one first.
Thanks Steven. It was scary from time to time becouse I didnt saw how the bird is turned. You must fly close this baby and its OK... Cheers my friend, Robert
Hey N. You can see a lot of them on our latest video MotionRC Europe announcement. Even I dont know anymore how many there are in my hangar ;-) Cheers my friend, Robert
Flyboy is correct. The answer to any camcorder that is hunting the focus, is to turn off the Auto Focus, set it to Manual Focus, and then dial the focus ring to Infinity. This is a symbol that looks like the number 8 but on its side. The issue is the camera needs sharp contrasting lines to auto focus on. A grey plane in a gray sky it looses it.
