Nice flying Rich, I like your throw setup. How close to the manual rates were they? The only downfall for me is to narrow gear.

I love this F/A 18C. I'm going to Miramar tomorrow morning to see the Blue Angels. I'm curious though, is the 90mm 9-Blade EDF with 9-blades seem underpowered?

Great video. However, show battery placement next time, it helps us. I know I’m always dinking with placement due to using 6000, 5500, and 5000 batteries. My blue angel is running the FMS 90 in it and my grey one has the high performance Freewing 1835 in it.

How much of a difference is in performance of those two motors? I have used fms 1900kv in my F18

NeGl G the FMS one is more efficient, but the Freewing motor can move it around a little better

Rich baker has the sticks on fire. That's how we fly at Pegasus rc club in Hagerstown Maryland .

To be honest i think 6S is for girls It is definitely under powered especially taking off from grass As you can also see the loops are child like I have her on a freewing 90mm 1250kv edf and now it actually performs scale like especially with the Eagle A-3 gyro. 8S performance on edf jets is the bare minimum

Motion RC no I didn’t, thought it was a faulty flap servo, replaced it myself and thought it was fixed after preflighting and the the left flap extended full down for some reason on the downwind approach.

@@clinthodnett9704 in the future, always contact our customer service if you believe an internal issue caused a failure, we will test those parts and report back to the manufacturer if we corroborate your findings. To my knowledge, no blue boxes on any f-18s have proved to be faulty. But never hurts to contact us

When I tested my setup, I extended gear and flaps simultaneously while I gave max input on all three axes, when all of a sudden the ail went crazy then stopped working. It showed that one servo was burned through while the other one still worked, but not through the MCBE. So the channel of the box seemed to be damaged after this test. MRC sent me a replacement, now all works fine.
