When my kid's school asked me to donate a gift basket of freeze dried candy to the School Auction it was a YES! I still haven't found tropical jolly ranchers and I need to go look for the caramel apple werther's. I haven't done fruit roll ups yet and the "ravioli" sounds fun. I have always warmed the trays for jolly ranchers and soft caramels, but sometimes they get too puffy. I will have to play with that, thanks. I can't use my bottom shelf on candy mode, most candies don't do as well bottom bottom shelf. the ice cream cones are adorable. Awesome basket! Very generous donation.

@reneebeam426 It’s been covered by @SchoolReports that the bottom shelf will run 10-15 degrees lower than the other shelves (or warmer if freeze drying). I suggest using the bottom shelf for skittles or candy that does work on the bottom shelf in candy mode and to always use the maximum heat in customize, remembering the bottom shelf won’t get that hot.

They do have them on Amazon! I have gotten them from there before. But I used salt water taffy! They come out so cute‼️ I used a whole piece of salt water taffy and the puffed up really cute. BUT make sure they are pushed all the way down to the bottom of the tiny cone.

@@DIYfreezedry It does! They go in at 150 for 4 hours and they come out so cute! I wish I could send a pic of the ones we made but try it! I highly recommend it

I noticed you don’t seem to ask people to subscribe in the video, you might want to try asking viewers to do it as a common comment, or as a screenshot. Your channel should be growing faster in my opinion. IJBOL with the scissors comment! Basket looks great!

Hey hey 👋🏻. I mentioned my caramels Failure 😨 to you in a previous video. I see now that I took advice from one of your viewers to cut the caramels in 1/2 and Warm the trays for like I think 20 minutes. PLEASE do not do this!!! It took me a solid 4 hours to clean my HR Freeze Dryer and the trays 😰😭 What a sticky freaking mess 😑 Fortunately HR allows you to remove things so you have complete access to everything 😅 Your video on how to clean a HR Freeze Dryer was very helpful!! Your “messy” Freeze Dryer in that video was NOTHING like my caramel failure. 😆 You had a crumb or too in that video🤩 😂 The caramels in my HR exploded all over the trays and all over the inside of freeze dryer drum and door 😭😰😭😰. A mess is a minor word to describe what I had clean up 😖 I need more research in freeze drying candy 🍭 🤪😅😇
