Freezer Noise Gone In Less Than a MINUTE!

If your freezer or refrigerator is making a loud helicopter noise, loud humming noise or annoying rattling noise, this one minute short will help find a simple DIY fix!
A lot of the time it can be overstuffing the freezer which will add pressure on the back plate where it might be pushing against the fan. If those fan blades are making contact with the back panel, it could definitely be making a helicopter type noise.

OMG. I know everyone already said this but thank you! A piece of ice got stuck inside where the fan was, one little smack and it fell out and all was quiet again. Thank goodness, thought I was gonna have to get the compressor replaced.

Thank you. Spent hours looking for solution. I had tried to move items around with no results. The pulsing noise persisted. But after watching this video I looked more carefully and discover that noise was coming from the package of baking soda sitting on the small portable shelf - “equipment bar”. What a relief!

Very good. Ice was the culprit. Opened the back panel and moved the fan. Noise disappeared. I initially got to GE website, they jumped to repair or replace the evaporator.

Not sure what’s up with mine. It still hits the cover and pulling on the cover used to stop it but now it’s always hitting. Need a vid on how to remember the cover for fan inspection.

So I have a Maytag bottom freezer it keeps frosting up and I noticed it makes hiss sound every so often when I had it cleaned out but it still frosts up what am I missing

This noise has absolutely nothing to do with how 'stuffed' your freezer is - The noise disappeared because you opened the door which turns off the condenser fan...which is on the door switch circuit... The moment you closed the door and turned off the light which opens the circuit to the condenser fan and thus turns the fan back on - the noise came back...

No matter how many times you say it - you are still dead wrong - My freezer is currently making the exact same noise - it has 7 items in it - Please tell all of us again how overstuffing causes this noise - Sorry kid, you are just wrong...overstuffing has nothing to do with this noise. The noise in your fridge/freezer is the evap fan...As I mentioned in my first post the noise will stop when you open either the fridge or freezer door the noise stops because (on many models anyway) the fan is on the door switch circuit What you may have experienced with overstuffing is that you had so much stuff in your freezer that it was pressing up against the panel where the evap fan is located, causing what residual ice build-up may have been near the fan to be pushed into the fan.

This video is absurdly contradictory …..be more careful with your words…..you just got done saying “most of the time it’s due to overstuffing….then literally two sentences later say, most of the time it’s not even due to overstuffing….,click the link for the full video to find out why!?” Makes you look like just another clickbait phony who doesn’t mean or genuinely know what he’s saying as long as people click your videos….which will ultimately be why nobody clicks on people who do such videos……authenticity goes a long way. I’ve watched a ton of your videos so far and found several informative! So excuse the harsh but intended to be CONSTRUCTIVE-criticism!
