Great little video and it seems like a very cool place. Thank you.

I have to say your videos are right up there on my "must see" list. Since I cut the cable cord a few years ago, RU-vid has been my main source of TV entertainment (I follow a lot of photographers). I live down in flat Florida and found your channel while planning my 2-week Utah trip that didn't happen in March. I planned this trip around a 3-day photo conference in Kanab. Its been rescheduled for next April. But short story long, your videos have shown me what ELSE is out there to see than the big 5. Plans I originally made will most likely be altered, hopefully to include more lesser known or visited areas, like this state park. So I just wanted to say thanks for making these videos! Looking forward to more. 😁

Thanks for sharing. You are completely right. It is good to avoid the hot spots in these times and explore the locations nearby. We just spent the weekend in the east Bavarian Forest instead of going to the Bavarian alps. There the crowds were fighting for parking lots and space on the summits. Take care.

Just caught a glimpse of your truck bed mounted tent. Can you give me some info on it? Thanks

It's a Tepui Kukenam tent on a Thule Xsporter Rack. It's kind of the base entry model of RTTs but it's still kinda pricey. After 4-5 years of using it I'm not as big of fan of these as I used to be and I'm probably going to get rid of it. They're really only useful in overland style camping where you have a new campsite every night. If you're in one spot all trip they are a liability.

@@exploresouthwest We love your hikes and "truck hikes". The naration with local history is great. We live in Colorado and spend a lot of time doing the same thing.

@@Starbreaker666 Oooh! Colorado is amazing, I have a huge list of places I want to go there. Last year coming back from Albuquerque I took the scenic route from Durango to Montrose. I could spend months just exploring from the desert up into the mountains.

@@exploresouthwest When you do let me know. I was born and raised here. My hippy parents dragged me all over this state and The West backpacking. Let me know what you want to see and kinda where and I can help point you in the right direction.
